Totally useless, upgraded phone, got a tex t saying it would arrive on Monday between 14:00 and 18:00, they cam at 10:22 and wouldn't come back. Arranged for it to be delivered on Tues between 14:00 and 18:00 again, on checking website at 18:01 saw that driver had tried to deliver it at 17:50. Guy on phone said sorry, it happens a lot. Phone now returned to O2 as 2 deliveries tried, have to go through hassle of upgrading again. What a shower of sh*te UK mail is.
I upgraded my phone with orange and they told me UK mail will send me a text to remind me when my new phone will be delivered. I finally received the text from UK mail about 5 days later giving option to choose which date is good for me but they can only deliver it between 12 and 4pm. I had to call them and change the address because unless you are on benefit or sick leave how many people will be in the house at that time. After staying on the line for about 30 minute, they finally answered the phone and asked me to call orange and change it which I did. So I received another text from UK mail to confirm my new delivery date and time 1 to 5pm. My mum waited for them on the day all day till 6:30pm and nothing was delivered and I started calling them by 5pm and stayed on the line for about 1 hour but the automotive message kept saying "we will be with you soon" and they never answered. So I called orange and complained and after staying the line for about 30 minutes with orange, they told me UK mail said my package did not leave the depot and haven't got any explanation. I was so angry I had to cancel my contract with orange and asked them to contact UK mail for them to return the phone back to orange because I couldn't get my mum to sit in the house again all day only to be disappointed again.
UK mail are useless, deceitful and they don't care about anybody but themselves and orange will end up loosing for customers if they don't change their delivery company. At least royal mail give their customer the choice of picking morning, afternoon or late evening delivery but UK operates as a company that don't really know know what they are doing.
Home delivery 15th April 2013 beteween 10am to 2pm for new mobile phone but 1 half hours late & he calling me I can't understand speech what say because I am deaf only text message.
Home delivery is getting lost can't find my flat, I helped sent text to my family can calling delivery man give directions find my flat, he don't have GPS nav in van.
UKmail is worst jobs ever delivery late & lost & no GPS.

I've reviewed how they are the worst delivery company bar none previously, but todays run in with their customer disservice department takes some beating. "Data protection laws" say they can't tell me which depot my package is at....... after they wanted me to call them because they couldn't find my address. So how exactly am i supposed to get my goods (with a valid reference number i might add)? "i'm afraid i can't help you". Not even a sorry! Fed-Ex, DHL, even Royal Mail...... these are companies to use.
I ordered a new phone as part of an upgrade package, which was due to be delivered on Tuesday (my birthday). I had a text to tell me that the phone would be delivered on Tuesday between 11-3, but this didn't happen, despite my wife being at home all day and we had no delivery card or phone. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and requested the phone be delivered today, and yet again i had a message stating it would be between 11-3pm. So 3pm comes and goes, and i waited till 4.30 before calling the customer service line to speak to someone. Someone (apparently called John...aren't they always!?!) told me he was putting a note on my account to ask the depot to confirm with the driver when the delivery was being made.
Just to add at this point, i had been checking the 'parcel tracker' page on the website for a good hour or so before calling UKMail - so, i check the page one last time at about 7pm, to see that lo and behold, my phone had been delivered and signed for at 10am this morning!! Big, fat, dirty lie. My house is not hard to find, and i was pretty much ready to punce on anyone who walked past my house today, such was my anticipation at getting a new gadget, so i wouldn't have missed the delivery.
I have e-mailed the fraud team at Orange to tell them the whole story....i wait with baited breath for an outcome....and a phone.
Trying to redirect a parcel the same day it was collected. Called the 0845 number and nobody answered for over 30 mins, tried a gain for another 45 mins later in the day still no answer. Googled the address of the depot and got the local 0161 number, they answered almost immediately, listened to my predicament and took details of the parcel. Put on hold for 5 minutes while they "attempted to locate my parcel" only to be told "nothing they could do as their systems have been down for 48 hours". Understanding that redirecting maybe proving a problem, asked if they could stop the parcel (a piece of cake to most couriers if contacted the same day as collection) only to be told that there was "nothing they could do as i was speaking to someone in Birmingham (the opposite end of the M6 motorway from the area code i had dialed) and that they only deal with mobile phones"??!!
Driver forged my signature (Like a 5-year-old) and probably threw my package in the bin once he found out it was worthless. Scum of the earth.
This lot are jokers.
When you can actually get through on their phoneline they are not very friendly or helpful.
I am still waiting for my supposed next-day delivery over a week later, and their website tracker still has my expected delivery date as last week. No use at all, no communication from them about when I can expect it, nothing at all. They are completely inept.
I have wasted two mornings of my life sitting in waiting for a delivery that never arrived, they don't even have the organisational capability to communicate with you when your delivery is delayed.
Their website tracker is totally pointless.
I spoke to the retailer (who are nearly as useless) and they told me they've been having a lot of problems with UKMail, so if you can avoid it DO NOT use them!
You're better off walking and collecting it yourself.
Their website tracking states that the driver left the parcel in my porch, which is strange as I was in all day and my driveway is gated and the gates were closed so the driver did not even have access to my porch. Rang these jokers up and they said they would get the driver to go back to the address he had left it at and then redeliver it to me, still waiting for this to happen..... I have now asked the guys that sent me the parcel to try and recover my missing parcel. I was not very impressed with the customer service guys on the phone as they were not very friendly.
Their driver didn't bother knocking hard enough to be heard and when I called them, the refused to even try to get hold of the driver to see if he was still in the general area.
The lady at their call-centre was completely unwilling to do anything other than just request that it would be delivered again even though I explained that I wouldn't be home other than early in the morning. Which she was also unwilling to make a note of.
Do not even consider using UK Mail, they are worse than the worst courier. The on-line tracking system does not work and they never answer the phone. I have been waiting seven days for a next day delivery, the excuses when I do finally get an answer are pathetic and clearly not true. Currently been on the phone for 30 mins and still waiting!!
On numerous occasion we have had them deliver to us for various companies and because 'once' they had a name as delivery at our company, now they send every delivery to this lady even though we have ordered in various other names. Many jobs have gone missing due to ukmail putting wrong contact name on consignment.
We are a large company so cannot expect to go searching for deliveries.
I had to rearrange delivery as I work during the week and no one was home to sign for the parcel. I had to take an unpaid day off work today to wait all day from 7am-7pm for delivery. However by 6pm nothing had come.
I phone their CS to find that it was supposed to be out today but was at the depo still. The guy on the phone (who sounded like a 12 year old boy) didn't know why and had no solutions for me. I had to be the one to give him options of offer me. Useless. They are not pro-active people.
The depo is 15min drive away. Unfortunately I can't drive, and I'm not prepared to pay £25 for a taxi there and back. They couldn't make an exception for me to get the item out to me before the depo closed at 8pm.
I had to ask for a pre-12 delivery the next day as the boy didn't know what to do. Thus, today I have wasted my time and I am now £160 out of pocket, plus I now have to take another day off work tomorrow unpaid.
I get no compensation for this loss, or anything from UK Mail to keep me as a customer.
The website is terrible - unable to track where the parcel is apart from a note that states expected delivery date. Plus no time blocks to choose for delivery to suit me.
I couldn't collect on a Weekend as it's not an option on the website.
Worst parcel company I've ever used.
I had been expecting a next day delivery from UK Mail, for which I missed work as their delivery times are anytime between 8am-6pm. when the driver failed to show up by 17:45 i rang the customer help line asking where the delivery was as the the tracking page showed that it was still out for delivery, i was told to be patient as drivers sometimes deliver later than 6pm. obviously the driver didn't show up, the next day when i checked the tracking page it falsly claimed that a DELIVERY ATTEMPTED note, obviously that was a lie, so i tried ringing the helpline but their number seemed disconnected. And there i was for a second day waiting for the delivery. By 17:00 on the second day I had finally given up on UK Mail and phoned the retailer through which i ordered the item, they were also unable to reach the customer helpline but they were kind enough to take up my case with UK Mail. On the third and final day of this saga, the UK Mail website again falsely claimed there was a DELIVERY ATTEMPTED on the second day.
I finally received my item at 10.40 am on the third day, no apology and no excuses for their blatant lies and their non-existent customer service.
Delivery not made as driver claimed he could nt find us. Very off hand rude girl on the customer services said in answer to my question why did you not ring us if the driver was having trouble locating us? " WE CANT T RING UP EVERYBODY" that says it all really, they obviously have loads of problems finding their customers.
A lot of people have a lot of bad things to say about some delivery companies (including me), but many of the gripes are simply about the procedures, rather than just plain bad service. UKmail surprised me for the following reasons:
1. They attempted delivery the next day as promised.
2. They stuck to the requirements of their customer and would not just leave the parcel anywhere, but required a signature, therefore meaning they did not leave my parcel on day one.
3. They gave me the option of re-arranging delivery and specifying where the parcel was to be left, as long as I left the signed card somewhere they could access it.
4. They re-delivered on the next working day, as requested, and left the parcel exactly where I asked them to leave it.
For those of you who haven't experienced the worst delivery companies, believe me this is exceptional.
Bit inconvenient for me - but only because they followed the rules.
Full marks.
Excuse after excuse - it has taken them a week to deliver a TV, first attempt not delivered but no reason, second attempt couldn't find address, third attempt asked for phone number and phoned when they were nearby asked me to come to carpark and then left me with large TV to carry home myself. I am a women and I could not lift it had to phone a friend to come and help me. Such a gentleman?

"No Attempt to Deliver"
Order a Christmas gift, UKMail received item on 12/12/11 for delivery. Never received so much as a card to say that they had even attempted to deliver the item. All other parcels arrived, not UKMail. Fabricated delivery attempts, I was at home when they stated the attempts were made. Best of all returned to sender, not available now before Christmas. Terrible firm, never use please!
Waiting for consignment of food, couldn't deliver to me, so took it to a pub. Never to be seen again. Driver says i signed for it, although I was out of country at the time.
I've found UKmail to be the most unreliable of UK couriers. Once, they were two days late for what should have been a next day pickup. Another time, the parcel never arrived, no card was left, and it was returned to the sender.
In the case when they were two days late, the driver was very friendly and apologetic.
They are a legit company. However, they very much need to improve their reliability and communication.
Some audio equipment that we ordered (including two large speakers) was delivered by UKmail. On the day of the delivery the driver called ahead to ensure that we would be in to accept the items. Driver was really friendly as well.
Placed an order with stuff-uk.net at midday on 22 Dec, it arrived just after midday the next day by UKMail, delivered by the usual friendly & helpful driver. And this at a time when the country is in chaos due to the weather and some suppliers/delivery services have thrown their hands up and said that they can't deliver packages before Xmas which have been in their systems since early Dec (see reviews of www.dpd.co.uk for examples!).
