External oak door complements 200 year old farmhouse perfectly.
I fitted a cottage style external oak door into an oak frame that I made last weekend. Now that its in, and protected with the Impranol recommended finish, it looks stunning. The grain really stands out, and the colour is really rich. I used two four inch stainless hinges supplied by ukoakdoors, and was amazed at the quality for the money - they look like they should be four times the price I paid. The door itself was a bit pricey (compared to their internal doors), but I'm still happy with the product overall. I wanted to fit something of real quality that will last lifetimes, and I feel that I have. Well done ukoakdoors - I will be back for more.

However I ended up ordering a door too short for my doorway and hadnt appreciated that as well as width the height could vary so much. Managed to cut some off edges and bond to bottom.

These doors are of excellent quality.The service and delivery was very efficient. My only observations are they need to let you know that they need treating as soon as they are hung and therefore it would save a lot of money on delivery if you order the waxes at the same time.(If you use stained/coloured wax you also need to coat them with the clear wax over the top) The screws used for the hinges, which are very good are a bit cheap and flimsy.Otherwise i cannot fault them.

Great after sales service
I had purchased there doors online on a but for some reason when I payed my basket didn't empty. I called and left a message on the answerphone and was very pleasantly surprised when I received a call within an hour and subsequent calls to confirm process of the order and delivery by the Tuesday.
Very impressed and therefore I thoroughly recommend this company.

Nice doors shame about the handles
Purchased the solid Oak Suffolk doors in various sizes later last year.
After a long delay with delivery (apparently down to shipping from China?) the doors arrived in December and were fitted just in time for Christmas!
The doors are beautiful and have really enhanced the appearance and "feel" of our home, we still admire them everyday!
Sadly we made the mistake of buying the black ebony beehive handles, which are a far inferior product and are simply not fit to grace such fine doors. UK Oak doors have been very helpful, all the staff are friendly and do their best and have even replaced the entire set of handles! But three months on we are not really any further forward. The handles basically have square spindles, which make it impossible to tighten them to the correct door thickness. As a result the handles are either too loose and rattle about or are too tight making the doors impossible to open. My advice don't buy these inferior quality handles they have really spoiled the feel good factor and have spent over £3k on doors and fitting I really did not want to be left feeling like this. The doors themselves in fairness are fantastic, just make sure you avoid the beehives or like me you will be left feeling "stung"

Excellent Products and Service
We ordered 9 internal solid Oak ledge and brace doors - they were delivered promptly and on time and are magnificent. We had to change strategy on hanging them, only because our door frames aren't strong enough - but there was good advice and absolutely no hassle changing the ironmongery.
Excellent products which look a picture and really helpful efficient service.
Would not hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend.

It's so beautiful!!
I needed an oak cottage type door and after searching locally I then found the UK Oak doors website. I ordered a ledge and brace door and wondered if it would be as good as the picture on the internet.
I need not have worried. It is a truly beautiful and solid door and the sealant has brought out the wonderful rich colour of the oak.
Delivery was quick and efficient, I'm highly delighted.

Who's warped
Bought 15mtrs in 5 length's fron oak floors 4 of the 5 were so badly warped that I that I had to have them exchanged it took 2 goe's to exchange them as the first time they only sent 1 length, I had already used one length which was warped so I could not exchange it .
I used oak floors before with no problem that why i went back to them, my exsperance this time was not so good.

pleased with the products and overall a good experience.
Website was very good and provided decent pictures and details of products available. Prices seemed pretty fair and the quality of the products appears very good. UK Oak doors do use third party couriers for delivery but when I had a query re delivery and emailed UK Oak Doors, they did chase the couriers for me and did not leave it to me, as other companies have done. Overall, I would use them again.

Great product delivered quickly
Bought several sets of ebony door knobs, complete with latches. The products were of a very high standard. The only slight let down were the screws supplied to attach the plates to the doors, which were a bit cheap and had very little thread, so we had to source alternative screws for that. Other than that minor gripe we were really pleased with the product and service. The door knobs look great and feel solid.

Absolutely beautiful doors!
Having bought a few 'oak veneer' doors in the past from other suppliers and discovering that they are about 90% chipboard, I was excited to find a company that sells the real thing. Not only are the doors 100% oak, but the oak has some character to it. They are beautiful. One of the joints wasn't glued properly - perhaps a quality control issue, but overall I'm very pleased with the doors.

Poor craftsmanship.
I ordered 4 contempary doors in Jan 2012. They were not in stock. I waited 6 weeks. The first door I went to hang had a split in the bottom rail. UK oak doors said they would replace it. Mistakes happen. I hung the bathroom dooor a few ruff edges but ok. I hung a bedroom door only to find out its warped by 3/4mm. One of the mortice and tenons has a big gap in it !! They were helpful. Agreed to replace it.
I hung another bedroom door only to find out its been planed /sanded wrong in the factory. So it doesnt fit in the lining properly. At this stage I wanted to bang my head against the wall. There is a big difference between getting a door made in the UK and China. The chineese do not know what quality is and the craftsman ship is poor. I,ve hung hundreds of doors in my time and never have I had such a bad experience as this. I,m waiting for 2 doors to be replaced tomorrow. Not to hopefull. They have no proper quality control. Beware.

Thank you for the feedback and we are very sorry that you feel this way. We have been trying to get hold of you but without success.
From my understanding you collected 4 doors on Thursday and reported a problem with one of them on Friday afternoon. We acted immediately to get this resolved for you and within 30 minutes of your call in to us we had arranged a replacement on an urgent priority delivery.
A further problem was then reported by email to us over the weekend. We have replaced 2 doors for you today (Tuesday morning), delivering them to you in less than 2 working days since you contacted us (when our standard delivery time is quoted as up to 2 weeks).
Doors would normally need to be inspected before replacements issued but our customer service team have been desperately trying to help you; hence replacements were issued almost without question. We have stringent quality control measures in place but appreciate quality issues will still occur from time to time and can only apologise that you feel the quality and craftmanship is poor. You are, of course, entitled to return them for a full refund as per the distance selling regulations.
Our doors often sell out quickly because they are well made and very competitively priced solid oak doors. However, we always try to be open and honest about our stock levels. The website clearly displayed that the doors were out of stock, quoting accurate lead times for this product. Once again, we can only apologise that you feel this way and would urge you to contact us at your convenience to discuss the matter.

the cheapest in uk
I found them the cheapest. But the delivery service is something else. I was told my choice of doors were out of stock, which was ok, I was also told once they were back in it would only take a couple of days to receive my doors. I had an e mail to say my doors where in stock but 1 week later I have heard nothing about delivery. The e mail I received told me not to contact the courier they would get in touch with me. Still waiting.

First class customer care to back up a good product!
The doors we ordered are good quality and at a reasonable price. Before placing the order, I rang in to discuss delivery times for two alternative designs. The response was helpful and I ordered on-line. The on-line notification that the order had been received could have been clearer so, as I had paid a significant amount, I rang again to clarify when delivery would be likeli This call was taken by Sonia, who made helpful suggestions (as I explained that I had a carpenter lined up to do the work. Sonia rang back on a couple of occasions to confirm that she had succeeded in bringing forward the delivery date and the doors duly arrived when promised. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone requiring internal oak doors.

I'm undertaking my second self build house so I want good quality at sensible prices, I surfed the web and there are plenty of suppliers out there offering oak architrave and skirting. UK Oak Doors prices looked too good to be true but the product was delivered promptly by a professional and helpful driver. I'm no cabinet maker but the oak was just what I wanted with a minimum of knots and with a nicely varied grain. I'd certainly recommend UK Oak Doors.

Classy and Quality
We purchased 13 of your oak doors and I find them outstanding they have now all been fitted and you can see the quality and the style we have the mexicano contemporary already waxed and they look absolutely stunning.The service was outstanding we were kept in touch at all times and anything we wanted to know we only had to email and we got a response within the hour.I would definately recommend Uk oak doors it is true what they say what you pay is what you get.Brilliant!!!!!

Average service and products
Service was ok but delivery took 8 weeks all in all as opposed to the stated maximum of 6 - not good when your'e relying on the products to enable you to finish a project. Ordered 4 panel solid oak internal door which you would think with the popularity of this style of door that they have the shortest lead times, they have the longest! Products ok when they arrived with a few little niggles:
1. The beading on the door has slight gaps in it ( 2 - 3 mm).
2. The architrave legs are slightly warped.
3. The door lining which is only 133mm wide is comprised of two pieces of oak glued together!
