A Star Is Born!
I was very pleased with how efficient Universal Star Directory were in creating the star in my mother's name, and sending the certificates etc.
I would recommend them whover wishes to buy a star.

SUCH A STAR FOR A STAR COMPANY
I did not know what to get for my husbands Ruby wedding present and a friend said buy a star! so I tracted on the nett and found this company and such a STAR find it was. I had no problems whatsoever my certificates etc arrived the next day. I would have no hesitation of using them or recommending them.

ruined surprises.
Brilliant product ideas but because they stuck the invoice to the outside of the parcel and their web address is so easily visible, the surprise was ruined for the recipient.

great present for those who have everything
Posted very quickly is a very stuff cardboard envelope so the contents was kept clean and straight, you get information on what star u have chosen and the certificate comes with a wax seal which is a nice touch. the paper quality is great, nice classy feel but the print quality could have been a little better, some words were a bit blurry and the signature at the bottom clearly looked like it had been printed. maybe mine was a one off and the ink cartridge was running low but I think it could have been sharper but overall the certificate and the info pack it comes in looks great.

star performance
The star was for a christening for a wee girl aged 3. My wife cried when she saw the gift as it was so well presented and unique. Extra brownie points for me for suggesting it!!!

Amazing!!
I was after a special Pearl Anniversary gift for my parents,and came across this,once looking threw all options and making my choice i placed my order,simple,quick and easy..
delivery was quick and packaging..when opening up i was not disappointed..
i gave it my parents on the day and to say gobsmacked would put it lightly,they was overwhelmed with the whole package,couldnt believe it.so to my this was the perfect buy,it was presented well,packaged well,they love the paper weight,an documentation,certificate everything...so Thank you very much.

star struck not star quality :-(
We purchased this star, to mourn the loss of our baby boy, i am a mother of four children so i am sure you can understand money is tight, so to pay £50 for something you expect quality, i was disappointed with the overall product. the packaging was excessive for what it was,the the certificate was poor quality and the frame was poorly fitted, and the engraving on the paperweight was shallow and heard to read . If i had known what the quality would of been like i would of most certainly bought the cheapest option instead of falling for the sales pitch and paying more for added so called "luxury extras".

Great product, perfect gift!!!
Myself and my partner and were looking for the perfect gift to give his father and the best way to remember his mum who is sadly no longer with us. The name a star fitted in perfectly and lets us memorialise his mum in something that will last a lifetime and beyond. Thank you for making it do easy to purchase this gift and thank you for helping make our day even more special. I will definitely be recommending the site to anyone who wants to name a star and also will be using again in the future.

Poor quality product, further instructions need to be provided
I didn't feel this star registration product was worth the money paid.
Firstly, the star I registered was part of the Canis Minor constellation. But when the pack arrived it contained errors in the paperwork - the registration certificate said Canis MAJOR, not Minor, while the cover note said Minor. This was awkward as this product was a present and I had to get the certificate replaced.
Secondly, a CD is included with some star-finding software. But there are no instructions provided on how to find 'your' star which has been purchased. The software's own instructions are unclear and I was unable to work out how to enter the star's co-ordinates in a way that enables you to find it via the software and then in the night sky.
Basically, a bit of extra effort on behalf of the company in terms of a simple, step-by-step guide to finding your star is needed, otherwise the whole pack is pretty useless.

A cheap waste of money!
I named a star after my nan when she died in February 2012, I used Universal Star Registry as it was one of the first sites that came up in my web search.
The certificates were lovely, although £5 per extra one I thought was a complete rip off.
The CD ROM thing that came with the certificates didn't work so was a complete waste of time and the seat didn't come with anything else. Overall I thought it was totally over priced and took advantage of peoples good nature in wanting to remember loved ones.
I bought my husband a star gift set a few years ago from another online retailer which was much better value for money.
I wouldn't recommend Universal Star Registry at all and I would suggest giving them a miss and using someone who actually provides you with something of value for your money!

Great service provided, speedy delivery, lovely product.
I registered a star for a little girl i know, to celebrate her Christening and first birthday. I wanted to get her something unique and this was a lovely gift that she can keep forever. I selected the bronze package which included a certificate and an engraved keyring. Super speedy delivery, ordered on a Thursday night and it arrived Saturday morning.

Brilliant service - very quick response
The only trouble I had was when I wanted to log in to the website to review my order, my username, password and reference number were not been recognised by the website. I emailed customer services to see if there was anything I could do and how my order was.
I received an email back in about 30 minutes saying the numbers I had were correct so they couldn't think why it wasn't working but they said my order was been processed and should be sent the next day. It was and I received it a couple of days later.
I had no other problems and was very impressed with their quick response.

Good, but slightly overpriced and the cd is far too complicated!
Even though the certificate is nicely presented and everything arrived ontime and well looked after, I couldn't help but feel I had paid a lot more money then I thought necessary. I may be missing the fact that I had just named a star after someone however, and people may loook at it differently. The CD I found really complicated to work and couldn't even get anything to happen from it. It was just full of loose files which wouldn't open enless some complicated procedure was done first. When contacting the company about this through email, the reply was very blunt and didn't help in the slightest, so I don't knoow if I was missing a whole loads more of information. I only give this three stars because even though the problems mentioned here were quite big, the range and quality of what did arrive, and the relatively quick delivery with nice presentation made up for half of the bigger let downs.

A Celestrial honour to own/name a star

The star packages offered are an amazing gift for any situation. I bought this package as a memory to somebody and it is a lovely way to remember her.
