Well thank you for delivering a parcel to someone else on my street when at no point have I specified I will be happy to have it delivered to an alternative address. I would rather it got taken back to the depot so I can pick it up!
Seriously how are delivery companies so useless? All you do is pick an item up, drive it somewhere and drop it off, IT REQUIRES NO SKILL OR CREATIVITY AT ALL yet it still seems past the competence of UPS.
I'll be contacting the company I purchased the items from who will then be claiming against you for a lost delivery!
Not much more to say really, useless company, useless drivers.

Der er kommet mail med track nummer og fragtmanden har altid ringet før de kommer og jeg har lavet aftale om de godt må stille varen udenfor huset.
Det har fungeret rigtig fint.
I bougt some small things from Asia, where the site had promised free shipping. then, when I got the goods, I also got a bill fro UPS, containing cutoms + a fee.
The fee from UPS is partially customs, and the rest is a fee for taking care of the customs FOR YOU. UPS is obliged to give the consumer the chance to take care of the customes themselves, by providing the consumer with the proper information at arraival. This was NOT done in this instance, and not when other friends of mine had bought goods from the same site.
FYI:
On the other hand, depending on your countries laws, UPS is, in the context of being miniinthebox's delivery partner; also liable for the information posted on their partners (miniinthebox) homesite, reguarding freight cost. Miniinthebox has little opportunity to know about every rule in every country. UPS on the other hand, is a professional freigth partner, with the whole world as their office. Keeping track on fees is a no-brainer for them, but it would not be in UPS's intrest to inform any customer about this, because, clearly; UPS is making a LOT of money on NOT giving proper information to consumers, and then taking a big fee for doing a 1 minute task.
I've complained UPS and their practice to the Norwegian Consumer Ombudsman, and is currently concidering making a media-case on the subject. UPS has given me a cheap exuse, that they are obliged by law to do the customs, and then is in title to give the end user a fee.
- Well, if the end user would get the chance to make this decision in his own, I would actually agree. In this case, information is held back, both by the store, AND by the UPS, and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand the barely hidden motive.
I would recommend UPS to re-evaluate their ethics. To rip off consumers like this, is the sign of how bad the ethics can possibly get.
First of all, they start of by delivering at a very bad time, but that is usual for delivering company’s, they put a note in the mailbox, where you can write an alternative address, and they will then take this and change the delivering location. They did not pick of this address, and just decided to try again and again to deliver to the same address. We then called support, and asked the change the location, which was okay, when we asked if she remembered to type in "Attention Name here" to make sure the right person got the packet (it was at a company address) she said: "No I haven’t" we replied "okay, could you type it in?" she said "I did type it in, you said so". We do not recommend this at all! Choose anything other than this.
I needed a parcel collecting to be sent away for repair, this part was successfully completed by UPS but once the same package had to be returned this is where the problems arose. Knowing that my property is hard to find, I contacted UPS eventually (what a drama that was), I was only given a reference number and not a tracking number so I was unable to track my parcel, I was also unable to contact UPS by telephone because you cannot get through their automated service unless you have a tracking number. Eventually after many hours of research I found a number and spoke to a human. They apologised and took directions which they said they would pass on to the local depot. My parcel didn't arrive on Friday and I contacted UPS and they said it would be out for delivery on Monday, Monday came and went and I contacted UPS again to be told the driver had difficulty finding my address. I explained that I had already given direction and telephone numbers and was told that these hadn't been passed on. This time I was contacted by my local depot who took details and said that the driver would deliver the parcel first thing Tuesday. Tuesday morning and still no parcel I contacted UPS again and was told that they would now get the manager involved. Mid-day and my parcel finally arrived after which I received a call from UPS, I asked for a refund for all of my telephone calls which have cost me in the region of £8 and they have refused. I would never use this company again if I had a package I wanted to lose. They are incapable of simple instructions or using telephone numbers oh and they are incapable of finding addresses using postcodes. DHL much better company!!
Jeg bestilte en pakke med UPS. Leverings-datoen lød på 2-3 dage og da der var gået 3 dage afventede jeg min pakke. Men da klokken blev 19:20 og den stadig ikke var ankommet ringede jeg til UPS. Fik da at vide at der var begået en fejl og at kontoret hvor pakken nu var landet henne, ville ringe mig op. Der gik så omkring 40min og jeg modtog et opkald fra kontoret i Kolding. Fik så forklaret at en "Underlevenradør" ikke Nåede at aflevere min pakke, så jeg kunne forvente den mandag efter weekenden. (dog står der under Track´n´trace at den først ankommer Tirsdag.
Det er for dårligt at det ikke kan aflevere en pakke der ligger i kolding, til haderslev. (25mins kørsel).
Har du fått paket från utlandet via UPS ? Kontrollera noga avgifter som dem debiterar dig och kontakta Tullen direkt i fall du tycker att det inte stämmer! I mitt fall har de lagt på fraktavgifterna (lika stora som varans värde) och beräknat moms belopp på det. Fast det står klart och tydlig på faktura "Shipment is as stated above: Freight : 0" När man ringer för att få en förklaring, hänvisar en dam hela tiden till Tull reglar utan att kunna ange vilka reglar är det egentligen. Hon - på mycket avvisande sätt informerar mig bara att om jag önskar omprövning av deras beslut kommer jag att debiteras 875 kr + moms. Då ringer jag till Tull och de har en annan syn på det och ber mig att skicka brev tillsammans med faktura och UPS beräkning då dem tyckte att det verkade konstig att UPS har själv lagt på fraktkostnaderna när moms skall endast beräknas på den bifogade faktura och dess värde. För att inte nämna UPS Expeditionsavgift på 156,25 kr (Varan har kostat 325 kr) och jag fick betala 296,25 extra bara för att den skickades via UPS . Har ni möjlighet att välja: VÄLJ ALDRIG UPS på paket från utlandet! Då blir det riktig dyrt!
Simpelthen verdens ringeste fragtfirma. Deres leveringstider holder aldrig og pakker forsinkes unødvendigt ved at ligge utallige dage på forskellige depoter rundt omkring i verden. DHL er som eksempel flere mil foran UPS når det handler om hurtig levering og kundeservice!

We regularly order electrical items and electronic components from Preston, Lancashire, and have done for over 5 years. Their service was mediocre up to about 2 years ago but now we receive our orders within 3 days. One order placed in December 2012 took UPS less than 48 hours from collection to delivery to our door (and we live in the mountains in Southern Spain). Our "local" UPS depot is nearly 150 miles away in Guarromán, in a neighbouring province but the drivers are always friendly and cheerful.
In contrast, another courier service has been unable to deliver a Christmas order placed on 5th December - a month ago - with no information available from either the supplier or courier.

Først lovede UPS, at de ville afhente min pakke på den aftalte dag. De kunne ikke give et præcist tidspunkt for afhentningen, så jeg måtte pænt vente hjemme hele dagen.
De kom dog aldrig og jeg ringede derfor til deres kundeservice. De påstod, at de havde været på adressen, men at jeg ikke var hjemme og de tilmed havde forsøgt at ringe (ingen opkald er registeret på min telefon). Der var ikke noget at gøre, jeg måtte vente til dagen efter. Kundeservice lovede dog, at de ville ringe ved 9 tiden for at bekræfte, inden for hvilken time de ville komme og afhente pakken.
Jeg blev dog aldrig ringet op og måtte igen ringe og klage til kundeservice. Her fik jeg at vide, at de havde været på adressen, men at jeg ikke var hjemme og de havde ringet 4 gang (ingen opkald er registeret på min telefon).
Efter 2 hele dage, hvor jeg måtte vente hjemme, lykkedes det UPS at få afhentet pakken.
UPS run such an incompetent service, which I'm by far not happy with. I'm reviewing this company to save anyone else the pain and wasted time of using UPS as a delivery service.
I ordered an item worth £600 ($942) from Amazon recently which was supposed to be delivered on the 24th December, 2012. I put my life on hold and waited in for the parcel to arrive, however, I was waiting for a parcel that was never going to arrive in the first place as UPS had lost the item. Therefore, Amazon had to send out a replacement item.
I have had to wait even longer for my item to arrive, but that isn't the end of this awful run-in with this service. My replacement was said to be delivered today (27th December, 2012), however, according to my tracking this morning it's had to be rescheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Once again, I've had to cancel my plans today for UPS not to deliver my item, and once again, I'm going to have to do the same tomorrow. I'm not even confident the item will arrive tomorrow due to the undesirable service UPS have already given.
I thought we had started off on a bad foot, I gave them the benefit of the doubt since it was the holiday season - they're busy, maybe it was a mistake. They had chance to make it up by getting the replacement item to me without a hitch. I was an idiot to think it would run smoothly.
After this item has been delivered, I will never willingly use UPS as a delivery service again. Their whole service, from their delivery to their customer service is abysmal and incompetent to say the least.
Prices are high, the standard of the service - terrible, terrible and terrible.
I used them 5 times, every time they got the wrong address. Pathetic, they don't even have a contact number or an email address to file a complaint. Can you believe that?! When I was looking for it I was rudely turned away.
To save you from ultimately killing one of the UPS workers I advise you to never use them.

24 hr delivery between 7AM and 7PM. No show. Email from UPS to state "no one at that address".
Phoned central number as you cannot phone local depot. After 25mins on hold & after many menus and the speech entered package number system I was cut off. Phoned back and got through to state a message would be passed to local depot. The call centre staff did not sound happy in their work at all. Can I have phone number for local depot where my parcel is? No, I was told as they don't have phones that can accept incoming calls - What's that smell is it BS?! Local depot phoned and were very apologetic and explained that the driver had entered the wrong reason in error on route and simply didn't have time to deliver. That no attempt to deliver had been made. Next day 7AM to 7PM delivery. Arrived at 18:50. Driver in good humour and stated that it's been back and forth to depot 4 times on 4 different vans with no attempt to deliver it.
Wrong goods delivered (not UPS error) so arranged collection via sender.
UPS collection service couldn't offer a receipt! WTF???? Driver was unsure of the customer number system for the parcel.
This is not the first time I have had UPS deliver to me. Every time it has been a bad experience and every other time it ended up with me travelling to pick up from depot. Not this time though as they wouldn't give out depot location.

Mitt første - og siste møte med UPS var i år i oktober. Jeg bestilte Halloween kostymer fra Amazon.com, tidlig i oktober slik at de skulle rekke frem.
Den 18.10 (torsdag) får jeg levert på døren 3 pakker fra UPS på døren. Det står mitt navn på alle 3 så jeg tar i mot. en halvtime etter mottagelse åpnet jeg de og finner da at en av pakkene var dobbeltmerket og skulle egentlig til et firma. Den siste pakken min var borte. Jeg ringte inn til UPS og fortalte om hendelsen og ble lovet at noen på kjørekontoret skulle ringe meg opp igjen. Det var det ingen som gjorde selvfølgelig.
Så jeg ringte selv på fredagen, jeg ble av den personen lovet å bli ringt til innen en time fra kjørekontoret. Det ble ikke gjort. Jeg ringte selv til de etter 2 timer og fikk da beskjed om at noen skulle ringe meg tilbake med en gang. rundt 1530 ringte det riktignok en fra kjørekontoret som sa han skulle sende meg returlapper til den pakken jeg hadde fått og at min pakke var feillevert til Vinterbro. det skulle de rette opp i.
Jeg ventet en uke på de lappene ( med tanke på postgang) og da de ikke var kommet på torsdagen ringte jeg igjen og fikk beskjed om at noen skulle ringe meg opp igjen - jeg forklarte at jeg skulle bruke innholdet i den pakken på en bursdag for barna på lørdag i håp om at det hjalp. Tydeligvis ikke. Jeg ringte igjen på fredag ettermiddag, og hadde da i mellom tiden funnet ut at pakken lå jo ikke på Vinterbro det stod feil inne i UPS sitt system - så forsvant jo muligheten min til å få hentet den på egenhånd.
Dette resulterte i at jeg måtte ut og kjøpe nye kostymer til barna!!! Jeg prøvde å ringe de hver ukedag i 2 dager til, på onsdag 29.10 ga jeg opp og begynte å sende mail fra deres hjemmeside i stedet. Og den eneste måte å få kontakt med de på er å sende en automatisk mail med plass til 500 tegn - på langt nær nok skal jeg si. Det går heller ikke an å få svart på de mailene. De på kundeservice er ikke villige til å sette kunden over til en sjef - heller ikke oppgi en epost som man kan få kontakt med en beslutningstager på. Dag etter dag blir jeg lovet at noen skal ta kontakt med meg fra kjørekontoret, men ingenting skjer.
Den 06.11 ringer en fra terminalen og sier han har pakken på terminalen og at den blir levert dagen etter - kan jeg være hjemme mellom 1200 - 1600? Jeg ordner med en som er hjemme for å motta varen. Ingen ringer og ingen vare kommer. Jeg fortsetter med min mail korrespondanse via websiden til UPS, og får beskjed om at noen skal kontakte meg. Den 26.11 får jeg svar om at min pakke har ankommet postkontoret hjemme. Dette viser seg å være riktig - endelig og totalt for sent, men den kom.
Nå starter del 2 - den pakken jeg har som det andre firmaet skal egentlig ha. Tirsdag ringer jeg til UPS for å etterlyse returlapper. Jeg får da beskjed om av kundeservice om de har hverken henting eller levering på min adresse eller den adressen som pakken skal til - så det må jeg ordne opp i selv. Jeg må ta kontakt med de som skal ha pakken og få sendt den til de............. Jeg skriver en epost til de og spør om det stemmer og får beskjed om at ja det gjør det.
Av respekt for det andre firmaet som har ventet lenge nok på denne pakken så sender jeg den til de og betaler for den selv.
Jeg ringer UPS for å spørre om hvor jeg skal sende kvitteringen slik at jeg får tilbake pengene, de har et eget nummer for fakturaspørsmål - men sannelig kommer du ikke til den utrolig uhjelpsomme kundeservicen på det nummeret også........... :(
Jeg får nok en gang beskjed om at alle klagesaker skal gå igjennom websiden - og at jeg får prøve å sende inn min klage der og håpe at noen tar tak i det............
Dette ble en veldig lang vurdering - men jeg er frustrert og irritert og kommer absolutt ingen vei med UPS i det hele tatt. Hele denne saken vitner om total mangel på kundeservice og en ekstrem mangel på respekt for sine kunder. Jeg kan skjønne at de ikke bryr seg om en liten kunde som ikke har betydning for deres omsetning, men tenk om jeg hadde vært et stort firma? Kjent noen i et stort firma og bedt de slutte å bruke UPS? Selv om de da bruker underleverandører til leveringer på noen ruter - så er det veld deres ansvar å orden opp hvis de underleverandørene gjør en feil? Det er vel ikke kundens jobb å sørge for at de gjør jobben sin? Jeg jobbe selv innen kundeservice og vet at jeg hadde fått både skriftlig advarsel og annet hvis jeg hadde oppført meg slik mot mine kunder.
Jeg skal gjøre alt som står i min makt for å få folk til å slutte å bruke UPS som leverandør av varer. De fortjener ikke at noen bruker en eneste krone på de!!! Hvis denne vurderingen blir sendt til en internasjonal UPS adresse - så håper jeg at den blir sendt videre til Norge.
De var flere dage om bare at sende min pakke rundt i Europa, finland, tyskland sverige, og tyskland og så danmark, og kundeservice sagde jeg bare skulle vente...
og så var der forsinkelse pga. flymekaniske årsager.... (sjovt når der står leverings garantien ikke gælder flymekaniske årsager, ik!)
Ja UPS leverede så åbenbart min pakke til min nabo selvom der nogle hjemme på husstanden. Det er altså ikke godt nok...
I forbindelse med en modtagelse af pakke, ventede jeg et stykke tid, for at derefter tage kontakt til UPS hvor jeg så for at vide at min pakke ikke kan leveres da jeg er bosat i Vollsmose. Til stor ærgelse for mig da jeg på intet tidspunkt er blevet kontakte af dem, derfor ændrer jeg modtageraddresse og problemet forsætter. På deres hjemmeside kan jeg se at chaufføren ikke har leveret pakken pga et butikets nr ikke fremgik tydeligt. jeg kontakte ups igen og får at vide at det var mærkeligt og det undrede sig, jeg opgiver en ny addresse for og får et nyt leveringsdato. På selve leveringsdatoen kan jeg se at pakken ikke er kommet ud og ringer ind igen og får at vide at chaffurøren har glemt at tage pakken med igen bliver der ikke taget kontakt til mig. Jeg får en ny leveringsdato igen og så indtræffer uheldet igen, budmanden leverer ikke pakken da modtagernavnet ikke fremgår af tlfdøren på trods at at han er under 18 år.. Alt i alt har denne jagt på at modtage min pakke medført at jeg måtte blive hjemme i par dage og får mine kammerater til at være på addressen.
Så hvis i vil undgå et budfirma der har noget af en ringe kommukation til den enkelte kunde vil jeg stærk anbefale at ikke benytte UPS.. Jeg er blevet en dårlige oplevese klogere
Fik et jakkesæt med UPS gennem et firma.
Jeg var ikke hjemme første gang de var der. Jeg ringede derfor til dem og de kom med pakken et par dage efter på det præcise tidspunkt vi aftalte. SÅDAN!
Als Besteller hat man ja wenig Einfluss auf den Paketdienst, mit dem die Firma, bei der man bestellt hat, zusammenarbeitet. Ich bin jedesmal glücklich, wenn ich sehe, dass meine bestellte Ware mit UPS versandt wird. Die "Sendungsverfolgung" ist überaus korrekt und wird fast in Echtzeit aktualisiert. Die Mitarbeiter der Hotline sind außerordentlich hilfsbereit und beantworten selbst naive Fragen mit viel Geduld und Verständnis. Und die Zustellung hat bisher immer bestens funktioniert: keine unautorisierte Abgabe des Pakets bei irgendwelchen Nachbarn, korrekte Benachrichtigung und diverse Optionen bei der Zustellung. Dem Zusteller ist selbst der Weg in das 5. OG nicht zu weit, um die Sendung persönlich zustellen zu können. Solch einen Service habe ich bei den "Mitwettbewerbern" noch nie erlebt.
They shipped my package to denmark, where the danish chapter of UPS gave my package to a neighbor, which claim to have lost my package.
It seems as USP can give your package to complete strangers without any consequense or responsibility for doing so. From §10 in the mail i recieved, from UPS..
My UPS experiences are never smooth and usual I have a full days worth of high blood pressure. Two items in the last month came damaged. A head gasket for a BMW and a control arm for a Mitsubishi. The ball joint of the control arm was protruding from the box and the ball joint dust cover was damaged on this new, in box package. The head gasket set for the BMW was box so nicely in a 36x15x8 box with about 25 feet of bubble wrap, its a gasket set after all, its all flat. The main (head) gasket was ripped through the wrapping on its cardboard packaging and was separated (multi-layered gasket) in way too many places to use. It was destroyed after someone went through lengths to make sure it would not end up like so. Not to mention all this after a 8 and 9 day transit time, completely unacceptable.

Recently I sold some equipment on eBay. To begin with I used Yodel as they were the cheapest, but when one package took 11 days to get to its destination (on their 48 hour service) and another took 4 days, I decided to try UPS.
Using their 48 hour service all four packages have arrived within the deadline, with 3 of them being delivered the day after they were picked up from me.
I'd have given 5 stars, except for the driver who seemed to be glued to his seat while I carried the packages out to him in the pouring rain. I even had to pass them through the driver's window (with some difficulty) as he wouldn't get out of the cab!
My daddy used to tell me a man is as good as his word. Well I can apply that to UPS. My family orders a lot online and UPS gets our products here on time just as their Tracking statement says. I know exactly when to be at home if it is something I need to sign for. If I am away, the driver knows exactly where to place our packages. Our yard is fenced in and the porch is fenced in also. I appreciate the fact that our packages are in "Good Hands" with UPS!
Mijn pakket is zoekgeraakt bij UPS in Schiedam maar ik mag zelf met de leverancier in conclaaf over de vergoeding van de schade (in dit geval
€ 332,00!) UPS is aansprakelijk en ik mag het regelen. Vrees dat dit nog een juridisch staartje krijgt... want nog steeds geen bericht van de leverancier. Kortom, UPS maakt een fout, de klant moet er tijd en energie in steken om 'm te verhelpen.
End og day i UPS sporg betyder åbenbart fra 9.00-17.00, dette syntes jeg er meget misvisende. Deres konsulent var rigtig flink til at forklare det, men syntes alligevel ikke forklaringen er godtaget.
Så burde de skrive "pakken afleveres i tidsrummet 9.00-17.00". End of day fortolker jeg, som 15.00-17.00 og ikke 11.04 hvor de prøvede at aflevere min pakke!
One of best experiences I have ever encountered in receiving anything delivered by UPS is the day the UPS man brought me a Fender Tele-Acoustic Guitar sent by my fiance. It made it to my door in one piece without dents, scratches, etc from Illinois...If that doesn't tell ya something about a good delivery service, well...
No quality and complete disregard for the goods they ship. The drivers are of no help and could care less, as long as they get your signature. I will always use FEDEX
I have received a damaged returned shipment from one of our customers through UPS worth €5 k. After almost two months of back and forward with the customer service (which replied fairly in time) I receive a " there is nothing we can do for you" answer.
They claim that the "shipper" bares the responsibility and should answer me, the "shipper claims that UPS bares the responsibility and should answer.
So I guess, that the standard "table tennis" policy is also part of UPS policy until the customer gives up.
If you send expensive equipment, better have a private insurance and use a trustworthy shipper.
I wish I had the option of the shipper when I shop online I would use UPS every time!!!! they have made little to no mistakes on my deliveries, unlike the other people............. The one time I can remember having trouble they had it fixed with in 24 hours!!! i also like the fact they take care of their workers great company all around!!!!!
Har for første gang fået levering gennem UPS. Rigtig hurtig levering, og super lækkert man har mulighed for at få leveret på alternativ adresse efter 1. leveringsforsøg, hvilket var nemt at ordne over deres hjemmeside..
They have racking in their vans instead of throwing them in a heap and walking all over them.Cheers UPS
UPS kicks butt. They are far and away better than the postal service and in my opinion, even better than FEDEX. I NEVER have a problem with them. They deliver on time and are always priced right. Their trucks are always clean and every employee that I've met are friendly, helpful and leave my products in a plastic bag to protect it from the weather.
On 25 May, I missed the first delivery attempt of some printer cartridges. The notice said another attempt would be made the following day, Tuesday, so I made sure I was around. No delivery. Checked their online system--it said the package would be delivered on Wednesday. Nothing arrived. On Thursday, the online system said it would be delivered Thursday. When I called, I learned that the package hadn't been scanned since Monday (i.e., it was lost and they had no idea where it was) and when that happens, the system automatically updates to say the delivery will be on the current day. Of course everything about their phone system is set up to prevent you from calling and instead tries to push you back to their unreliable online system.
I then had to call the suppler to initiate a search. Which I could have done two days earlier if I had not been misled by the UPS system. The package did not finally arrive until 11 June, two weeks after that first attempt. In the meantime, I had to go out somewhere else and buy printer cartridges.
No apology from UPS of course. Very unimpressive.
Skulle have sendt en pakke til udlandet, så jeg ringede til UPS og aftalte at de skulle komme mellem 15 og 16 følgende dag. UPS-vognen holdt udenfor mit hus 15.25, hvor jeg afleverede pakken. Senere dagen efter kunne jeg, via mit tracking-ID, se at pakken var leveret på adressen. Helt upåklagelig service.
De aner ikke hvad de har med at gøre !. Skulle have en levering den 30.05.2012. Chaufføren fandt mig ikke hjemme kl. 15.23, hvorfor denne lagde en UPS InfoNotice, - 1. lev.forsøg - om at man ville genlevere efterfølgende dag. Samtidig skrev man i sin statusopdatering på ups.com "Kunden var ikke tilgængelig ved 2. forsøg". Med InfoNoticen in mente, blev jeg på adressen hele dagen den 31.05.2012. Intet skete dog. Kl. 19.54 skriver UPS på deres statusopdatering, "Chaufføren skal have tilladelse fra beboer/modtager for at kunne komme ind i bygningen". Jeg har gennem de seneste 8 år, boet i nuværende lejlighed, hvor der på intet tidspunkt, har været skyggen af adgangskontrol. Alle yderdøre til opgange er åbne 24/7/365 og har på intet tidspunkt været andet.
