Eventually found this site having looked at many direct & indirect links to car hire sites. Having found the site I was impressed with: the ease of use, the price of the hire, then clearly offered additional insurance cover, the platinum appears to cover all my requirements, Then for a small charge a cancellation option, following on an option to pay just £50 deposit. All seems very positive & impressive so far. I am looking forward to my trip, hopefully the rest of my experience will continue to be as successful as the experience so far.
The process of booking was simple after being given a choice of rental suppliers with their relative prices. A printout of the booking was made, luckily because the confirmation e-mail was not received. A short phone call the following day and the email was received almost immediately. I would recommend usrentacar to family and friends.
I read about usrentacar first time in a blog. Then oppinions about the company were rechecked in other forums too. All comments were very positive. I also made price and condition checks on competitor and car rental company websites, found usrentacar very good. I also needed to have a call with customer service once for a reason (below), she was very helpful and kind. The only tricky point I need to mention is the price creation scheme in different currencies. The exchange rates are very differ from official rates. Ex. a quote in GBP is much chepar than in USD, the exchange rate was around 2.5!!. Finally I made my reservation in GBP. So for me this was not an issue, except I would haven't noticed it and would have made my reservation in USD, as I wanted to do it originally due to my Visa card.
Have used usrentacar for a few years now and have never found a better price for car rentals in Florida. What you pay is it, nothing extra to pay when you pick up the car at Orlando airport, excellent company and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
When the bookling was made and I gave my card details to your staff member, Kelly, and requested that £50 deposit be taken from my account, I was contacted by the fraud department of the card company who notified me by telephone that as well as the deposit being requested the whole amount £218 was also requested. The outcome was that I authorised the payment of the £50 deposit but declined to authorise the payment of the full amount. My account was closed and a new card and account is to be opened on my behalf. The only reason I authorised the payment to go ahead is because I have dealt with US RENT-A-CAR in the past and have always had excellent service and I am certain this will continue.
Last time I booked a hire car with usrentacar I had problems with the supplier at Orlando however usrentacar sorted everything out exactly as they said they would .They now have my custom permanently.Well done usrentacar Mr Astley
Have used this company a few times. Twice now, the codes on the voucher have not provided the cover expected in the US and Dollar Car Hire each time state the voucher codes are provided by USRentACar and they have to adhere to them. Had to change my booking this time due to a cancelled flight and USRentACar would not honour the 'price match' as they had done when I booked it (less than a week after booking it), and if I wanted to cancel the booking I would lose my £50, which would then have cost me more than booking with another company, so they had me every which way. Shame that this inconsistency and poor customer service means I won't be using them again.
We've travelled to the USA a number of times and nearly always been caught out by additional charges to hire cars. What a refreshing difference this made, with a guide on not what to accept too! Will use them again.
