I have used usrentacar a number of times with no problems whatsoever. Regarding Dollar I would advise if there are any problems with the vehicle return it to exchange for another, this I have done a few times without any hassle. There is no need to go back to the airport as they have local offices. but make sure you get the equivalent to what you paid for, ie. full size for a full size. Also beware of charges received after returning home. I received a letter from Dollar informing me of charges to my credit card for approximately £75.00 for unpaid tolls. With the letter came a list of tolls, times and dates. On reviewing these I discovered I was nowhere near these locations at the time. After a couple of phone calls to the US I was able to prove my point, (Location history on my mobile), the Dollar employee was very courteous and polite and the money was refunded to my credit card. I believe it was the previous customer who used the tolls. One tip, if you want to pick up your car quicker look into signing up with "Dollar Express" on their website.
We have used US rentacar for at least 5 trips to various locations in the states. It always works out with no problems/hassle at all. If you ring them they are always helpful. And if you book early you can get great prices that are better than the headline rental companies.
An excellent website, all pricing and other information clearly laid out.for perusal. Pricing continues to be highly competitive. Timing of receipt of documentation is good. Over the years I have had excellent service with no difficulties at all.
I have used usrentacar on a number of occasions and most recently last summer. I had a nightmare journey and the provider (Alamo) reneged on my booking as I was classed as a 'no show' by arriving late for my car hire. I was compelled to pay again for car hire despite having paid in full already. Having done this and gone on to enjoy my holiday I contacted usrentacar when I returned home to complain about the service. I was dealt with professionally by a customer care assistant called Kelly M who lodged a complaint with Alamo and promised to pursue the case on my behalf. This took some time but Kelly was true to her word and eventually succeeded in recovering all of the previous costs occurred and an apology from Alamo. I would not hesitate in using them again and would recommend them to travellers to the USA. They are good value, reliable and customer focussed.
If you walked off the street and asked directly for the equivalent car you would pay maybe twice the price! Usrentacar is the best site I've used and will not go to any other site now. (5 times now) I'd also definitely upgrade to the gold option as at the other end they don't try to get you to upgrade as you already have most of the options. Whether by the web or by phone, first class service.

Was looking for a car hire company for an upcoming trip round the west cost of america, all the drivers are under 25 so didn't want to be stung for the young driver fees, found the site and for a small increase in premium got the car we wanted at much less than other sites out there.
Good site for price comparison! Saved about 150 pound compared to the car hire I had previously booked with my virgin holiday! Furthermore I had upgraded the car and insurance package. Using this service also provided the peace of mind of an excess top-up through a .3rd party to cover things that normal policies don't, such as windscreen&tyre damage. Only negative was that this policy was difficult to find in order to print off, but this was resolved with a quick phone call.
One thing that I would say, is that if you have breakdown cover, you are only covered in the State that you rented the car from, which wasn't pointed out to us when we picked the car up. We only found this out when we phoned to let them know we had a flat tire, so we had to sort it out ourselves. Other than that was very pleased with the service we received.
