I have contacted Vanquis regarding my credit card many times. The problem is I am unable to use it, every time I do, despite being up to date with payments and within limit, my card is refused. Each time I ring I am either told to wait half an hour and try again or told that my card is being compromised and a new card will be sent out to me. I have had at least 3 new cards within a very short period of time and each card still will not work. The people at customer services are not much help. All they ever say is 'It must be the places your using it'. Well I have used, or I should say tried to use the cards in a variety of shopping establishments, each time having the card refused. As you can imagine this is highly embarrassing. As a Gold member I am extremely disappointed with the fact that this matter has not been resolved and will be transferring to another credit provider.
Brilliant company and the only one have given me a chance. I was a victim of Domestic Violence which also resulted in fiancial abuse in which i ended up in a lot of debt. Vanquis is the only company who would take me at face value and not judge on my credit history(which is not my fault) Brilliant customer focus agency.
I had a vanquis credit card and unfortunately defaulted on it. I paid the default immediately back in Nov 2011. I have reviewed my credit report with all equifax, experian and call credit in march 2013 to find that Vanquis had not noted the account as settled. It still shows with an outstanding balance and no payments for 23 months!
I have written and called vanquis to no avail and the CRA's are struggling to get the dispute rectified, Vanquis wont note it as a satisfied default, only partially settled.
