Thought id follow up on my previous review. Ive now had 3 orders from Vertbaudet, all of which were delivered without issues. I did have one missing item but they soon rectified it & credited my account without question. All of the goods I have purchased, mainly baby boy clothes, nursery bits, young girls clothes, have all been super cute, really lovely styles & great quality. I even placed an order for two wooden storage tubs & wall stickers which arrived two days later. I currently have another large order pending with them which I have great confidence will be sent very soon! Customer service experience has been excellent so far too, extremely prompt & pollite. Cant recommend enough! The items I have purchased so far everyone who has seen them have commented how lovely they are, my baby boy to be's nursery is looking lovely too! One happy customer!
Having previously ordered from them Vertbaudet constantly sent me offers and I am bit of a sucker so tried to use an offer code only to be caught out by the small print. Spent a year putting their mail in the bin before succumbing again. I carefully sought out the correct products only to be told I couldn't use the code. Long story, basically steer clear it will onlying end in tears. And yes, their clothes do come up small , not worth the bother.
Whilst I understand by the very nature of the word 'Vertbaudet', the company is not English, I would still expect them to be fully conversant in English, and easy to understand.
I tried setting up a new account last week, but apparently their systems were down, so I was promised a ringback. I had it this morning! It was not convenient then, so I rang them back earlier only to get someone whose accent was so strong that I had to make my excuses and hang up. I have just phoned again, only to be told my postcode does not exist. After the fourth attempt, she wrote it down, hopefully correctly!
The operators at the other end of the phone are obviously following a script and cannot deviate from it, which makes 'chatting' to them nigh on impossible.
I have a £15 off and free changing bag, so I am getting 3 bodysuits and a sleepsuit for £12 total (inc delivery) so let's just wait and see.
I've only used this company once and will never do so again. The order I placed online didn't arrive so I logged on to the My Account section and saw that it had been cancelled. No explanation, email or phone call to inform me of this. I rang them and was told I'd entered my card details wrong so they couldn't process the payment. They couldn't explain why I hadn't received an explanatory email as I should have. I replaced the order, which was a gift for a friend's child. It arrived 2 weeks later and was damaged by splash marks and had a hole in the fabric. I then had to go through the inconvenience of ringing the company to complain and waiting in for a courier to recollect the item as they didn't want me to take it to the post office. When I rang to complain the second time the person I spoke to was very helpful, apologetic and understanding. She offered me a full refund for the item and postage and said I could keep the free gift which they sent me. Hopefully the refund will come through swiftly. I won't be using this company again.
I ordered a changing bag from this website on the 1st of march, I received an email conformation of the order and that delivery would be 5-10 working days. Yesterday I phoned their customer services to inquire as to when I would be receiving my bag only to be told that they had applied to my bank for the money but had never received it.
I then phoned my bank, who have no record of them applying for the money. So I filled in the form on their website asking that why in the space of 10 working days could they not contact me to let me know the order had not gone through properly. This is what I got back:

Thank you for your e-mail.
I understand that you were not notified that we could not process your order.
Regrettably, this type of error does not flag up on our system, therefore, we are not able to let our customers know that the order has failed.
This is something we are currently looking into as we appreciate this is inconvenient to our customers.
I apologise for the inconvenience caused.
How did they know not to send the package out? but still couldn't contact me?
I ordered from Vertbaudet and never received the product. About a week after the the expected delivery date I logged on just to find the order had been cancelled. They sent no email, no phone call, nothing. When I finally managed to contact supposed customer service, they could not even bring themselves to apologise. Really shabby.

This company gives excellent value for money and makes the task of locating the product a pleasant experience I would certainly use them again and recomend them to my friends and family
I really wish I had read reviews for Vertbaudet before jumping to order clothes from them. I received two vouchers from them for great discounts and decided to use them side by side. It was so confusing which ones were on offer so after spending nearly an hour just trying to order, I eventually called up customer care. Now, what they dont tell you about putting your call on hold forever is that they charge premium rates. My phone call ended up costing me 12 pounds. I decided to order online to avoid paying for the call but the order never arrived, so i had to call them again to inquire (more damages). Two of the orders that were completed though arrived in good condition and the outfits were perfect. I still get really tempting offers from them but i feel gap and zara kids are better options, so have never used them since..
I am expecting my first child and having used La Redoute I just found that Vertbaudet operates the same way. The send you all these offers and when you go to their online shop you can easily spend HOURS finding anything suitable that is actually applicable to the offer ( too many exceptions!!!!). This can only raise suspicions as you would eventually give up looking for the bargain and end up spending a lot more than you planned. A bit naughty. It is only worth if you're strong, have the time and patience. I have no complains about the quality from la Redoute so I thought it was worth a try. Not in a hurry for delivery so we;llsee what happens.
Last month I bought a dress Vertbaudet for my youngest daughter. They delivered it to a wrong adress. I waisted lots of time and energy. I called them 3 times, wrote few letters. At the end I did not receive the dress but they made me to pay £3.95 for the delivery. Useless company.

I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW BAD THE COMPANY IS AND WOULD ADVISE ANYONE NOT TO ORDER FROM THEM THE SERVICE IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER RECIEVED
Don't don't don't buy from them. They are pathetically slow, and unreliable company it looks like. No company keeps the parcel prepared and ready for 2 weeks and don't send to customer. When you call their support, expect at least 20-30 min of wait and still no guarantee that you will have your parcel delivered.
Why didn't we read the reviews before ordering? We will be cancelling our order asap.
Don't even open their 40-50% offers you receive in mail box and order. Because chances are you won't get them for 2-3 months anyway.
A friend had ordered a gorgeous bookcase/mobile library and had great money off deals that made it half price with free delivery & a free bag. So I placed an order for one too. It was in stock online and I received an email saying my order had been processed. This was over 3 months ago. Nothing arrived and I heard nothing so I contacted them and was told they were awaiting stock. I wouldn't have known there was a problem with my order if I hadn't contacted them. Weeks passed and I heard nothing more so contacted them again. They said they couldn't give me an expected date. More waiting. I checked the website and a similar item had come in stock so I asked for this to be sent instead. I was given an expected date of 11th October for this.
Then last week I checked my account and the original order had been cancelled but no reorder was showing so I contacted them again. I received an email telling me that my original ordered item was out of stock and had been cancelled (only took 3 months!) and that the free bag was being sent to me. If I wanted to order something else I needed to make a separate order online!! I presume this would also mean I would lose my original discount. I have since sent two further emails, the bag arrived(!) and I have heard nothing else.
I am FUMING!!! I have never even received a real apology and all emails from them sound like they have been sent by a robot! They send out amazing money off offers to entice customers but can not fulfil their orders or communicate with their customers. I would not touch them again and would urge everyone to shop elsewhere!!

Dont waste you time iv placed and order twice and twice after telling me all were in stock you then have to find out via "your orders" that they have suddenly become out of stock no other items at provided as stated in there terms and conditions and they don't even tell you staff clearly cannot update stock when they have processed an order total disappointment for such a large company I expected much better best word to describe piss poor!!

no complaint with the delivery. products were all good, but exchanges are a real pain. you have to buy a new product BEFORE you return the old one, so you pay twice, unless you want to wait for your refund and then order again the preferred product.

I don't normally review companies but after reading the reviews felt I should. Yes delivery can take a while but I have found that if u return something with a not liked because of quality or appearance they always send me money off coupons 2 apologize I always order at least 1 size bigger they are on small side & I don't mind waiting a week or so 4 delivery, after all it is coming from another country u know what its like u go on holiday send postcard & get home b4 it arrives. The only time I have had order cancelled is if its in sale & out of stock. I would've given 5 stars if they addressed this on website 2 prevent u ordering something that isn't in stock .. overall I have recommended 2 friends because I love the fact that my kids arent dressed in same clobber as everyone else & always receive complements when they are wearing their French fashion :)
My friend recommended Vertbaudet and I placed an order with them 2 weeks ago. Received it today and they just cancelled one of my items. Also I ordered size 23 wellies for my daughter but when I opened the box they were size 29! I thought I made a mistake while ordering but on their receipt it said 23. So I called them to re-order but they told me they wouldn't be able send me a different pair for the same price and I would have to pay double the amount!!! And it wasn't event my mistake...After I complained the women in the customer service told me she would note my comment...Well, that doesn't help much. To return the items you have to wait for the courier 2 days and they can come any time... What a waste of time and very unhelpful customer service!!!! Would never order from them again and would definitely not recommend to any of my friends!

As a new customer I was attracted to their offers so I`ved put an order - items pending - items out of stock - ITEMS CANCELLED, sent a message to customer service was called back, ordered something else, items pending - items out of stock - ITEMS CANCELLED once again despite being assured that my order will go through smoothly...
What does the company expect me to do more??? waited 2 weeks now between my first and second order and I am still nowhere.
I will probably just give up nothings is sure... you like something order it, pay and after waiting days/a wekk or even more you get ITEMS CANCELLED geee this is gonna haunt me fro a while o.O
2 stars for somehow friendly customer service, oh well who knows perhaps something will be done but I doubt that.... u_u

Lovely clothes, lovely designs. Sizes are tiny so order approx 2 sizes larger than you need.
Delivery is very slow with no notification on status of your order. Phoned them a week after placing order and was told delivery to the UK warehouse would be around 21 days!
Ordering system is rubbish, difficult to get into as seems not to recognise your customer number etc and even when you phone they can't explain how to get into it.
Lovely products if you can't bear the hassle of dealing with them.
Shame as the clothes - and particularly the shoes - are gorgeous.

I really like the clothes here and you can get great discounts too. The clothes do come up quite small so it is worth ordering 2 sizes to try, You get free delivery after spending £60 and there are often discount codes, delivery is not next day so just bear that in mind when ordering.
Once again I am absolutely disgusted with Vertbaudet. Last time I ordered something I was sent the completely wrong item - and the hassle and time and effort required for ME to sort this out (eventhough it was Verbaudet's mistake) made me vow that I would never, ever use you again.
However, a week ago I saw some wall stickers in the final clearance sale, which was a great offer. I ordered them, and also got a free gift of a hello kitty bag (I did not really want this but as it was a FREE gift, I decided to accept it). My parcel arrived yesterday only to find that the stickers I originally ordered were no longer available... and the order had been cancelled. I had NOT been notified of this. I therefore had to pay the delivery fee of £3.99 for the FREE gift that I did not want in the first place.
There is no point calling Customer services as calls are charged at a premimum rate and you are left on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes.
I implore you to never order anything from them.
well where do i start ? .. i put a order on there website for 3 items on 15/1/2012 i called today on the 20/1/12. after logging in to track my order ,it stated on there piss poor website that my goods were pending , and 1 was cancelled . so i contacted there help line and i got through to customer services and asked where my items were., i was told by the unhelpful lady who goes by the moniker of'' Pam''or ''pan'' maybe, couldn't tell as it sounded like she was eating a pasty, that my items were in France awaiting dispatch to there UK warehouse , and my other item was cancelled as it was not in stock , as this is not great to say the least , i asked that my card be refunded , and goods not sent , she replied ''OK sir'' . then paused and i heard a voice(Pam's supervisor??) , she then told me my goods will be there tuseday , and i cant be refunded as they are now shipped , i replied ''that's 8 days after the order date , it states on the website , '' a couple of days '' , cloudy i know ... but still 8 days is not a couple ,''well it is '' replied Pam or pan? the unhelpful spunk bucket . i then went round the houses explaining to pam that a ''couple of days'' is more often than not a loose word for two , not 5,6,7,8 ect i mean if your husband , lover or who ever you annoy at home made love to you a ''couple'' of times a week for a women in your late 40's im guessing that your friends would be quite envious, of your power house Mr loverman. but if you were to tell them your husband , male companion ect made love to you every 8 days , well that's not even once a week , its about 30 times a year big difference Pam your friends would laugh at how dry your minge must be and tell you to clean the pasty crumbs off your paisley themed blouse! anyway so i now will wait till tuesday ..................... i have been stung by this site before last year but thought id give it a try again as there children's ware looks good but twice bitten ..... please don't waste your time with this site awful is not the word !

Beautiful catalogue, very tempting outfits for my little girl so I ordered with high expectations! Items duly ordered, half arrived within about a week. A few more items a few days later and a couple quite a long time afterwards. Of those one had matching items missing and one had a hole in the fabric. Another item was inexplicably cancelled from my order (I only became aware of this as I logged back into my account to find out how to complain - they hadn't contacted me to let me know they'd cancelled part of my order). Finally got hold of customer 'services' and they said one of the items was now out of stock - yet it was still available to purchase on the website and continued to be available for another week or so. I was offered a £1 refund for the missing matching item which was appalling when you consider the cost of the outfits. Poor delivery, poor out-of-datewebsite, high costs, low quality and awful customer service. Do yourself a favour and buy from JoJo Maman Bebe instead!
Also, you'll notice every single one of their 'offers' which you will be inundated with once you've ordered from them are almost worthless - each has a disctinct asterisk some have 2 - generally '20%**** off' which translates as 20% off if you spend over £200 and only ever on full price items and only if the moon is in the 3rd quarter etc etc - you get the idea :-) rare to get an actual deal out of them!
Placed order three weeks ago and only one item has arrived meanwhile. Even though I have contacted Customer Services twice they fail to give me any timeline for the delivery of the rest of the order and the gift I was eligible for as per their offer...
Probably I will give birth before I receive the baby vests...
Never again will I order from this company.
I've been waiting since November for an item. Verbaudet never update you and when you waste your time contacting them, they tell you '7-10 days'. Worse still, when you change the sizing because your baby has grown since you placed the order 4 months ago they give you totally wrong sizing information (the website says 18m will fit till 18m, however, the advisor said from 18m!). Eventually they cancelled the order and don't even tell you. After requesting to speak to a manager and being told I'd get a call back after 4pm that day, someone finally called me 5 days later so offer something completely different at full cost. Unlike most retailers who seem keen to rectify a problem and not lose your custom, Verbaudet seem not to care and do everything possible to lose it. Will never shop with them again and would advise others not to either.
I have recently placed an order for 2 items online, paying by credit card. I noticed if I spent an extra £5 I would get free postage, so I added an extra item (that wasn't essential but useful for my sons sports). The non-essential item arrived about 5 days later, but the other two never arrived. I looked at the online tracking of the order, only to find that Vertbaudet have cancelled them, and charged me delivery on the one item they did send. I waited on their telephone line for 40 minutes but never spoke to anyone, and have emailed them to ask whats going on - 7 days later I still haven't had a response. Incidentally, the two "cancelled" items are still available on their website.
This is my first order for quite a while. I stopped ordering from Verbaudet 7 years ago when they started sending me payment demands for items I had never ordered, let alone received! It took months and a lot of stress to get them to back off - and they never apologised or even admitted they were wrong, they just stopped sending me threatening letters.
They have obviously not improved over time. I wouldn't touch them again with a barge-pole
I have sometimes had to wait a little while for a delivery and the website is a bit complicated. The clothes are really well made but do buy them big unless you have very small children as they do seem to come up a bit small. Be prepared to recieve a plethora of paper through your door if you register with them! Never managed to work out the very complicated special deals that they apparently offer.
Overall very good, but beware of the readers digest effect on your letterbox.
