I ordered 3 items from Very on February 28th. 1 item was delivered by 2pm the next day and the other items were due to be delivered on 6th March. By the 8th of March my delivery still hadn't arrived and I'd had no email informing me my delivery was on it's way so I logged into Very to track my parcels and found out that the delivery date had been changed from 6th February to the 17th of April. I was disappointed as Very had not contacted me to inform me of the changes and because my order was part of a birthday present which will now be late. I will not be using Very again.
I have been a customer of Very for several months now and do not intend being a customer for much longer as my experience of Very has been one of incompetence, poor customer service and deceit. let me explain, just before Christmas, I decided it would be a good idea to upgrade my old DVD player with a new Blu-ray player and as Very had a good Samsung model on sale, I decided to go ahead and order, especially as I was guaranteed delivery a few days before Christmas. I also wanted to take advantage of a special offer which allowed me to buy a HDMI cable at half the advertised price if I ordered the Blu-ray player together, saving me £25, I thought why not, after all, what good is a new Blu-ray player without a HDMI cable, right? A few days later, when my delivery did not turn up as promised, I phoned Very customer service to find out what had happened, only to be told, they were out of stock and sorry but you cannot have this until the end of December. In the meantime I had the cable I ordered as part of the combined order delivered, now I had a problem as I wanted the Blu-ray before Christmas, so I did the only thing I could do which was to cancel my order and buy the Blu-ray from a well known outlet who also give a 5 year guarantee. I got one from them the next day, no problem and thought that was that. However, Very had other ideas, they informed me after Christmas, when my new bill went online, they were charging me the full price for the cable because I had cancelled my order for the Blu-ray player, which added a further £25, to my bill. When I pointed out to them it was down to their incompetence that I did not get the player from them, they seemed to say tough, you now have to pay the full amount for the HDMI cable despite them putting the same item on sale for £25 whilst I was pleading with them to honour their original offer, something Very are not capable of doing. I have tried to get Very to change their minds but to no avail and now all I want to do is pay off my debt and close my account, I think if nothing else they are downright dishonest and disreputable and I hope to warn other consumers so they don't get ripped off like I was.
Customer service will email back several times saying they are looking into your complaint but never resolve anything, Very make so many mistakes on their discount codes and BNPL and email to say the customer is right then the account still incorrect, this company is awful stay away from VERY!!
This is my experience of ordering an item from Very. I ordered a coat and next day delivery was shown. It did not arrive so I contacted Very by email who said they would deal with the enquiry within the next 3 days. I was then told it was out of stock and I should wait 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I contacted them again by phone. The call centre in some distant country told me they would send an email and I should wait another 4 days for my reply as they were unable to phone the dispatch centre. Nobody in the company could tell me what was happening to my order. I cancelled the order. They will have had my money for 20 days without any effort to find out what had happened to my order. It is impossible to contact anyone who will take responsibility to find out what happened to it. They have now told me to wait 6 days for a refund and that they would not offer compensation and quoted this small print at me.

Obviously there are some satisfied customers but if it’s not in stock heaven help you.

I have ordered several items from VERY over the past year. I have found them to offer a very good service and love the way that your item can be tracked. When you see that your delivery has been loaded onto the van, you know it's coming that day. Had a couple of problems with the Collect+ service but sorted out quickly.
Their products are good and fairly competitive and the BNPL plans are great provided you pay off before the plan expires, otherwise the interest is steep. Love the Take 3 payment option as it's great for budgeting.
My overall experience of this company is good, their website is superior to most and easy to navigate. They are quick to despatch items in stock, give updates about orders coming direct from the suppliers. Although items from the suppliers can take up to a few weeks, they usually arrive earlier than estimated.
Bought a set of bedroom furniture form Very. When we went to assemble the bedside table one of the sides of the drawers was missing. After being passed to various different departments and promised a replacement non arrived. Rang back and again was promised delivery of a replacement. 5 days later I was sent a later saying this was no longer available and they could not help. That is completely unacceptable in my opinion. I bought the set to match and now either have the option of sending back the bedside table or them giving me £10 back - hardly compensation. If they had sorted this out when I first rang up the item would have been in stock and they could have replaced it. Will never use this company again. Very poor is all I can say!
As with other reviews seen - Very once again took an order from us and it was not fulfilled, disappointed would not be the words. I now have a set of bedroom furniture that is now, not complete. When we contacted very by email and phone. The did not answer our questions. We wanted to know their supplier, they ignored this request. We asked why had it not been removed from the website they say it is correct on the website(it is showing out of stock), but we have been clearly told by email and over the phone, they will never get it in again!! Again, I ask why is it on the website?? we ordered the ladybird Harley wardrobe in blue.
I have just placed an order for some Converse trainers. They allowed me to purchase these shoes and then sent me an email saying that they won't get stock in until the 24th march ! I am not impressed about this as i could have just gone else where! I find this unacceptable how they can take orders without having the stock !!! I work for websites myself and wouldn't sell anyone products that are not in stock.
They always deliver things quickly but I would say it's frustrating that you can't nominate delivery days for some very expensive items. Also you can only do click and collect with certain products. You should be able to nominate delivery or do click and collect for ALL products
I ordered my Fridge freezer from very.com over a month ago to my disgust the delivery didn't arrive! not only did it not arrive when I called to find out I was passed from pillar to post. I couldn't understand a word the customer service advisers were saying & they were so rude as well as unaccommodating! I wanted to change my delivery address after I had spent all day waiting for the other to turn up I arranged for it to be sent to my work. They sent me a text stating the wrong delivery date that was confirmed over the phone with an advisor & then a further text a few hours later stating another separate date! both NOT what was originally or rearrange too. I called to complain & they had no notes on the fact I had called numerous times to sort. Eventually I get a call off a with held number which I don't really like answering too to tell me my delivery will be an hour - to the wrong previous address! My partner had to go to meet the driver who had the post code wrong & everything. I was due a call at 9am that morning as promised & it didn't even arrive until 3pm. HURRENDOUS.
Placed order on 7th of January , new furniture for my living room 3 items. Got last item on the 11th of February with numerous phone calls to very trying to find out where my items are they were cancelled just not delivered then trying to charge me full price when I bought it in the sale and also putting delivery charges on each items as you can see many phone calls lots of stress and never sure I was going to get left with half a set of furniture but the day came I got all three items I was happy then few weeks later I look at my account online I see have a late payment charge but I did the buy now pay later ,very said nope 1 item wasn't somehow so they did take off the charge I just asked the balance although I new the balance and the balance they have is higher than the original balance the woman was not helpful so I told her I will put the phone down and try again because every time I speak to someone I get a different answer so I did exactly that and I did I paid what I owe and he said he will zero anything else left and make sure there's no interest ect so now I will wait till next months statement and see what's going to happens but I'm not holding my breath. This whole ordeal has been unpleasant and a prolonged experience and not likely to do again.
After ordering my wardrobe I received a phone call for an earlier than expected delivery date. The delivery men were very helpful and polite. I was surprised at the quality of the product. It was great value! I will be using Very again and again. Thank you Very! You take the stress out of shopping!
I have used very quite a few times and have never had a problem. Great delivery times and no hassle with very account. It's great to be able to get it on credit and pay back at your own pace. I did try and order something that had a long delivery waiting time, but just decided to cancel, this was no hassle and was sorted quickly. Recently ordered some ghds as a present for my mum, as I live on an island the post can some times take longer but the ghds where here with in 2 days :) great service, I was very pleased. Would defenatly recommend this company and will confine to purchase threw them.
Ordered furniture to get delivered with 2 weeks, it's been 5 weeks and it just keeps getting pushed back. The price has gone on sale and they refuse to refund the difference even though delivery is due in 2 months now..! Keep emailing to cancel and they ignore it and just respond with 'sorry for inconvenience, we cannot change price'. I have no idea how to cancel it, it's crazy. Never again :o
Such an awful experience buying goods from this company. After purchasing my goods I then received an email to inform me that my product was not in stock, even though at the checkout I was told my goods would arrive in 3-5 days. Knowing that I couldn't do anything about this I let it go over my head and waited patiently for my product. Nearly 6 weeks later I received an email to let me know my goods were finally being dispatched. On opening the product I thought that it looked rather large. After trying on the shoe I checked on the box to see that there were two different sizes. On checking the label on the inside of the shoe it said another size. The product had been boxed up wrongly, with three different sizes, and the wrong size sent to me. On contacting customer service I received no apology for recieving the wrong product and the custoner service advisor was very rude, giving very generic, unhelpful answers. She informed me of how to return the product but seemed reluctant to get the corect size out to me. When I asked her to do this she then simply told me they were out of stock, were not expecting anymore and to send the others back. Obviously, I was not happy that I had received the wrong goods and that I had paid for a product that took 6 weeks to be delivered and then was in fact the wrong size. After numerous emails to customer service no one seemed to be bothered about apologising or solving the problem for me. Awful customer service and a very unsatisfactory, disappointing shopping experience.
Ordered a TV bed ( £700 ) when the bed arrived we put it together there were not leads to connect the TV to the bed. When I rang customer service they were so rude because I had paid for the bed and not used the Very finance they said I would have to pack the bed back up and wait 6 weeks for a totally new bed. This was just not feasible as we had to carry the bed up 2 flights of stairs and had taken an hour to put together! When I explained this to the operator she reluctantly said she would send the leads Hallelujah!!! However I have received a letter from Very this morning saying ( word for word ) cannot help any further with this matter sorry for the inconvenience. Just awful service will not use Very again.
Poor customer service, been waiting for an item since December now and still won't be delivered until estimated 10th march following countless phone calls to customer service and being lied to by members of their team and eventually talking to a manager (who still had his hands tied by the company) no wonder customer services lie to you because they know they can't help! Will never order from this company again it's just a shame I'd already purchased things that matched the item I want!
Will wait and see if I actually do receive the item now but will be writing into company to complain.
