I ordered a Samsung tablet on your Black Friday deal. It hadn't arrived so I phoned your customer services over 8 times and each time I was told something different. I was NEVER told there was a problem with this product and there was a team set up to sort the problem out. Every time I rang I was told that I didn't have enough money in my account so it couldn't be processed. I was highly offended by this as I know my bank status. One lady actually told me that I shouldn't order the product if I don't have the money. I am happy for you to check on all phone records so you can hear my frustration. I can honestly say that with dealing with Very I have lost the will to live. I finally got to speak to a lovely Scottish lady whom said I should have seen the updates. How on earth am I supposed to be aware of the updates if you dont send them to me. When I tried to access them she had to give me the www address as they were not accessible. I have spent a fortune speaking to foreign inadequate staff whom claim they represent the customer, but in fact belittle me and state I have inadequate funds. I have been put on hold for 20 mins only to be transferred and have to explain it all again.
I wanted one of these to match the 'slate gray' iPad Air I had got my son for Christmas. They were harder to find than a snowball in hades - until I tried Very. Problem solved! it was ordered and delivered with loads of time to spare. well done Very

The shopdirect team then tell me my order will be shipped within 3 days.
> Day 11 - I look on line and see my order is due for delivery on January 17. That will be 49 days since I placed my order !
I learned a lesson here. Never ever buy from Very again, no matter how good their prices seem to be they just don't care about their customers.
I recently purchased an item that had been mis-priced. I received an email notifying me of this error and an option to purchase the item at a £20 discount from the original price, with the option to cancel the order. A day later, I received a further email telling me that after a review VERY had decided to honour the original mis-price, and I would after all get my item at a very reduced price. Thank you very much!
A quick call to customer service and ... get one security question wrong (my date of both apparently) and they can no longer speak to you.... All i wanted to do is arrange a return. The website said to call the customer service number so i did and they were pint blank refusing to help. Best of all the first time i called there was someone playing funny bugger son the phone and just being silly, so i had to ruing back and navigate the computer assistance before being out through to someone VERY unhelpful. Pardon the pun. Fingers crossed the returns department are better. 1st time customer of Very and i will never order again. Bad service travels far! I just hope the management read these reviews... I'm guessing they wont actually care though.
TV ordered and awaiting info re delivery. some days later there was a card from yodel saying they had called and tried to deliver my item and could I re-schedule. no information had every been given that they would be delivering on that day. Called the cust helpline - changed the suggested date from thur to sat.....and then received 4 different phone calls to give me a slot on thurs....4 times I told them it was sat......and the delivery driver called outside my house on the FRI to ask where I was!!! they did come back and deliver that evening once I was home from work - but the free sound bar was missing
i will never use this company again made me pay insurance i never wanted when i complained they were very rude and stopped my account, call me old fashion i thought the customer was always right, not with these crooks!
Well ordered sofa as per TV advert 'guaranteed delivery before Xmas' well it was only October so we ordered due date 17th Dec, then 30th Dec, then I logged onto account today (11th Dec) new date 30th JANUARY!!! - Appalling, also couldn't supply a swatch as they were not available - AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS
been a good customer to very for a while ,starting to loose trust in them now as they have let me down .I had a order few months ago for nest of tables ,were out of stock then had 3 more dates of when my order was getting sent to me .never got it yet .I have also had an order for a dolls pram and its out of stock was told would reach me by the 7th December ,have not yet received it ,and starting to worry I don't receive it for Christmas as its for my granddaughter .
I made an order with Very and paid an additional cost to recieve my delivery at the earliest possible date. They chose to use Yodel to deliver this parcel. My office overlooks my driveway and door and I was there between 7-11.30am, my delivery time slot. At no point did Yodel appear yet I recieved a txt and email saying they called with no answer and put a note through the door. No note was put through my door as it is clearly absolute rubbish, they never bothered to deliver it. I tried calling Yodel and got through to an automated service where you have to say your reference code verbally....of course this system does not recognise my voice and after 4 attempts of saying a 12 digit number it automatically hangs up. I then called Very, I got through to a very nice friendly person, I was refunded my delivery cost but I now have to collect my order from the 'local' depot (25 miles away). Very appears to be a very good company but what a shocking choice of delivery partner...it lets the company down. I wont be using them in the future.
I ordered a ps4 and a game which came to 402 pounds, which is a full price if brought seperate. When I received it there was a yellow box printed on to the game cover saying not for resale, when I questioned them they said I brought it as a bundle, I checked the website, my email receipt and there terms and conditions, no where does it say that its a bu.for or special offer of any kind, when I presented this information they said they brought it as a bundle and therefore so did I, and they say there's nothing that can be done, just seems I got scammed. I will never use this company again and I'm cancelling my littlewoods account aswell, disappointed.
Items I bought ok happy with purchase not happy with the fact of the credit issue as I did not want credit in the first place was happy to pay up front however I have loads of other sites that are really happy to give me credit with no issues what so ever I have always been an up front payer at amazon/ebay with a great payee rating it was wrong to assume I wanted this credit or to refuse something I did not ask for there loss not mine
Communication was very poor with me being passed on to numerous people for assistance and everybody seemed confused!!! product I received was as described but arrived too late. Returned the item and as yet 10 days later no refund!!! this is the slowest refund service I have ever encountered!!! EVER!!!!!
I ordered a new bed for my son in mid November (still waiting for it to arrive) and upon ordering it I then found it was out of stock. They initially gave me a delivery date of 16th December, but then send me a text saying that it had been delayed further. So I contacted them via email and they replied that the estimated date is now the 16th of December (the same as the first date I was given), and if it hadn't arrive by then I was to let them know. Surely THEY should know when it available for delivery? I have now received a second text saying that it has been delayed again, and again no delivery date but just saying it should be here before Christmas.
A terrible experience. No one seems to know what they are doing and I find it unbelievable that they seem to have no means of contacting their suppliers to give their customers more accurate delivery dates.
I will never buy from Very again. Their. Couriers lied on two occasions saying they had left cards as no one was at home, there were several people present both times. I sent 14 emails and each time received the same reply , that they were looking in to it and would get back to me, they never did.
When their bill arrived they had cancelled the £25 off voucher they had previously honoured. When I phoned to find out why they had done this, I was kept waiting for 48 minutes before speaking to any one.
Unproffesional, unhelpful and uncaring, woefull service , NEVER. AGAIN
Wrong mattress was sent, & it will take till 23rd December to receive a replacement, however I must admit the senior customer advisor was very helpful, lets hope my new mattress arrives and its the right one this time. Most deliveries have been fine up to now
I placed an order for a kids bedroom set a few months ago. The order included a wardrobe, chest of drawers and a bedside cabinet. I was informed that the delivery would take 10 weeks to arrive which I thought was a long time but was happy to wait for it. A few days after I placed the order, the bedside cabinet arrived on its own so I continued to wait for my other items to arrive. 11 weeks passed and no other items were delivered which I thought was strange so I checked my account to see what was happening only to find a note on my most recent statement to say my money had been refunded because the items had been discontinued!! I cannot believe I hadn't received a phone call from Very to inform me of this, I had been waiting 11 weeks only to be told my items were no longer available!! Now, because the bedside cabinet had arrived straight away, we had set it up and my son had been using it so it could not be returned so I had to find another wardrobe and drawers set which would match the bedside cabinet. I found one but it was double the price so I emailed Very to ask if they could match the price of my previous items ordered as a good will gesture for all the inconvenience they had caused me to which they refused! Anyway, I had to go ahead and place the order because we were desperate for the furniture by this point. Well the furniture has arrived and I am absolutely disgusted with the condition it has arrived in. After hours and hours of putting it all together (as the instructions were completely wrong!) we are so disapppointed with it and cannot believe the price we have had to pay for it. One of the drawers doesn't work as the fittings are broken and the wardrobe doors are absolutely awful. They are covered in dents and scratches and one door actually looks like there was a chunk missing and it has been re-filled!!! I am so tired with it all that I cannot even be bothered now to take it all down and send it back so we have just had to swallow it but I can say 100% that I will never be using Very again. Terrible terrible customer service
Overall not a good experience. Never received my items at my collect+ store as it was refused on delivery (the store was unaware of its collect+ status). I e-mailed to ask if they could just send the items to my address which unfortunately they couldn't without me re-ordering with the items, which by then was too late as they were a birthday gift. The e-mail responses were very simple / similar to the previous e-mails they had sent me, not ever answering questions relating to the "collect+ store."
Overall very disappointing experience, as i had to very quickly make time to purchase something else and the majority of people i know who have recommended me this site.
Got a cracking deal & impressed with the Collect+ delivery the next morning. I rang to make an inquiry and I got awesome service on the phone
I ordered an item from very, it came incomplete, I phoned up they said they will have to raise a dispute of some kind at there end. I was informed they will contact me within 4 days, after 6 days I contacted them. I was then informed that someone will ring me back the following morning between 7 and 11. Guess what, that did not happen either. then I rang them at 12.40 and the first lady informed me I cant talk to a manager and hung up. now I am on the phone again, guess what. still not getting an help. I have never been treated so bad ever. Absolutely appalling. If anybidy from very reads this I would love somebody to ring me who has the authority to sort my problem out.
It seems ridiculous that a large company like this hasn't got a stock control system that means they oversell items resulting in customers missing out on the opportunity to purchase items during a sale. Very poor and will not be using the company again.
Very has a great selection to choose from. They are always of good quality and as of yet I have not had to return anything.
I love the free collect plus. Its great that you get a text from them to let you know your parcel has arrived which is usually the very the next day, and then you can collect at your own convenience.
I also love the take 3 no interest payment plan they provide.
Overall very satisfied and would consider shopping again and again.

After ordering a large bulky item - taking advantage of what was good pricing, Buy Now Pay Later, and relatively quick ordering, Very were then completely let down by Yodel, and then by their ability to deal with an issue when it goes wrong. When the item was delivered, no-one was in, and I received a text and an email from Yodel/Very to say that the item had been delivered to a neighbour and a card left. I got home, no card. Checked with my neighbour, no delivery. I go outside the next morning (after a hard frost) and find that in fact this large item has simply been "thrown" over a 6ft back gate - with obvious damage to the box, and having been left outside in the elements overnight. Unsurprisingly the item was damaged when unpacked. Phoned Very - and after 20 minutes at national rate call, was told by advisor (with attitude) that I should phone the manufacturer - completely missing the point that the item had been damaged by the delivery drivers actions. It was also said that they "only had my word for it" that that's what had happened! After continued remonstration that Very should sort this out, I was told someone would phone me back. Still waiting. E-mailed reminding Very of their responsibilities under the Sale of Goods Act - i.e. this is their responsibility. Email back stating I should contact the manufacturer. Email back saying that Very simply didn't understand and that it is their responsibility to sort out. Another email back saying to return the item using the online returns - later in the email saying that you cannot use this for faulty items!! Eventually gave in and rang the manufacturer as suggested - although Very had given me the wrong number (who were great.. and brilliant in comparison). They took down the details and asked me to ring Very again and ask Very to contact them - so another long call on National rate having to explain everything again. Eventually got through to a lady who at least eventually phoned the manufacturer, then came back to me, and told me to package up the item and return it to Very!! Could they send me another one.... no, I would have to re-order it as new. Aargh. In summary, assuming nothing goes wrong - they're actually pretty good. If something goes wrong... and also if Yodel are involved.... beware!
The only complaint I have here is that there is an overcharge on my account. Because of changes to delivery dates I was told that the delivery charge (£6.95) would be refunded to my account. The last time I checked, another £6.95 had been ADDED to my account. So, instead of a refund, I have now been charged TWICE!!
I shall await the refund of both delivery charges!!

A telephone call days later to say that there had been a glitch in the system, and my order had been placed despite the items being out of stock !!

This was also confirmed by telephone that this order was successful.

Brought a 'new' Google Nexus in November. Outer packaging intact but the box was damaged and security tags loose. Definitely looked like a returned or recon box. Sent pictures off to Very for an explanation at the time but still no response 4 weeks later.
Ordered a nail varnish set for my first order and saved £1.60. Collected item from petrol station only to discover on opening at home I'd been sent a pair of boots!!
Had to call customer service at my expense and was told I had to return the boots to where I had collected them, reorder the original item, wait for that to be delivered, then collect that, then wait for the item that was sent incorrectly to be credited before I could receive my original 10% off offer.
I wasn't happy and asked if they could report this as a complaint and assure me that I would receive the 10% off without me having to call to chase it, they said of course it would happen.
It didn't. I have just had to call to chase the £1.60 and pay for another phone call. And the complaint wax not logged.
Great customer service. It has cost me more than the 10% off in phone calls and petrol.

Quick delivery even though it was a day late. Received automated phone call with an apology. I was glad I had my parcel delivered to the shop which is a 5 min car run and I would do that again, it saves a lot of hassle waiting all day in the house on a delivery.

I ordered a laptop for my husband for Christmas as a surprise. I entered my mother's address as the delivery address on the website, because the laptop needed to be signed for and we both work, so I arranged for my mother to be home especially. The delivery date was given as Thurs 6th December. When I got the confirmation email, they had put my billing address as the delivery address, so I telephoned them during a break at work on 3rd December to get them to sort it out. The people I spoke to were particularly unhelpful, and did nothing to sort it out at all. I therefore had to call them AGAIN when I got home (expensive premium rate numbers too!) and spent another half an hour on the phone to them. The girl I spoke to then was more helpful and attempted to help me get it sorted. She filled out a form for the delivery company and told me that it would definitely be delivered on Friday 6th December to my mother's address. I was therefore extremely surprised when I got home on Wednesday 4th December to find that the laptop had already been delivered to my billing address. What an absolutely ridiculous state of affairs. Such incompetence is completely unacceptable - it was sheer fortune that someone was here to receive the order - it was my husband, who should not have known about the present but he does now, no thanks to Very! I am appalled by the lack of communication, and by the poor service. Neither I, nor anyone in my family & social groups (I am telling EVERYONE) will be ordering from Very in future.
I often order from very. There is always a wide range of products available in many styles and sizes. I particularly like the speedy delivery. Returning goods seems to be no problem. I would definitely recommend them.
Ordered two things with money off voucher, came within 2 days. Loved the shoes and loved the dress but the dress was labeled up a 16 on out side packaging but inside the label it was an 8! Got straight on the phone and I returned the small dress and within 2 days they had replaced it with the correct size and I love it!
Received wrong item so telephoned to return and get replacement.
Replacement arrived wrong again. Telephoned to get a replacement and was told customer service would contact me within 48 hours. Still waiting.....
Ordered replacement item myself online for third time which has now arrived and is correct but still waiting to see if advertised discount will be applied to my account. Also waiting to see if postage for wrong orders will automatically be refunded.
First time using Very and will think twice in future.

I've been with very for a week now and so far all that has happened is I've been sent wrong items and been given the run around by incompetent staff who couldn't care less that it costs a fortune to sit on hold for hours on end 10% discount wasn't applied to my order as they cancelled my 1st order of their own accord, I've simply had it with them worst company I've ever dealt with I'd give 0 stars if that were possible
Would recommend Very to a friend aleays great service and great repayment rates oove everything ive got from them :)
