NIce website and lots of tours to choose from

I found the website easy to navigate and there are lots of tours to book, lots of different options.
We had a slight problem booking online, confusing us a little, when it said we were over the 60 minute time limit, but we soon sorted it out without too much fuss.
Really looking forward to the tour!

An excellent research tool for a memorable vacation

I was literally recommending Viator to friends from Australia whom we are meeting in Paris in September not two hours ago. The quality of the various tours and programs is unbeatable as is the ease of engaging them through Viator. It takes all of the stress and worry out of planning an eventful trip.

It is very easy to use Viator and it is fast to find what you are looking for. It also helps as inspiration on what to see/do when at a given location.

Easy and useful website

Just booked three tours /services through Viator and all done quite easily with vouchers received at once. Only change I'd recommend is the transport to and from airport one -first line asked for hotel pickup (airport was first pickup wanted) -so hoping the booking works out in Hawaii !!

Excellent and courteous phone customer service but unclear website.

We wanted to purchase transfers from airport to hotel for upcoming trip to south Asia. Some of the website forms had not been updated to accept one way transportation requests and we received rejections. When we called customer service, we were taken care of immediately.

I found this company to be very good. Their website is a pleasure to navigate - extremely easy to view the tours and read about each one. I also took one of their tours in Barcelona and I was pleased. They are a wholesaler who books you on tours with trusted local companies and I haven't been disappointed yet. I also know that many airlines use Viator for their tours, so that gave me a lot of comfort. I just booked a tour for my boss in Munich and when I went to the local tour operator's site, the price was exactly the same!

Easy to use

Have just used this company to book an experience - the website was easy to use, and I couldn't find the experience any cheaper on any other websites.

Excellent choice.

Booked the hotel/airport transfer and the Pompeii tour. There is a good online brochure for the destination and lots of choice. One of the previous reviews said the tour they booked which was supplied by a third party was cheaper booking direct. It may be but booking through a big company gives you protection if that small company goes bust and I would personally rather go to one site to book tours than try trawling through the internet for different things. The small additional cost is well worth it.

Found the same tour for less on Dark Rome

Sadly, when I got my confirmation from Viator it said my tour of Venice would be fulfilled by Dark Rome. That's not a problem, but just for fun I went to the Dark Rome site and looked at prices - found the exact same tour for less (not much, 8 Euros, but still). Now I'm in the middle of their "price guarantee" refund process - wish I didn't have to go through this but I'll stick it through. So far its been 2 days and no response from Viator - that in and of itself is unacceptable (for a price guarantee!).

Depends, sadly, on the place!

We loved Viator in Barcelona. So we didn't hesitate to book a VERY expensive trip in Paris. it was pretty disappointing. We booked it for a Tuesday, the 21 of May at 7 a.m. We stood in the rain waiting for one hour. They never came for us. We agreed to try again two days later. The van showed up on time! This was supposed to be
an eight person tour to Normandy. Fortunately, there were only six, because eight would not have fit comfortably for a fourteen hour tour. For six it would have been very comfortable, but the driver was in a hurry. His wife needed him to help with his kids. He drove too fast, tailgated and passed on very narrow roads. We have seen a lot of bad drivers (Taipei, New York, Rome etc.) but this was in a class by itself. His knowledge of his subject was superficial, and most importantly, especially since we were going to the beaches and cemetery at Normandy, he had numerous unAmerican comments to make. Inappropriate anytime, but on this sad occasion, really hurtful.
The battle sites are beautiful, the museum was very well done, and the French countryside is breathtaking.

When in Rome, we used a great tour service. As we were going to Barcelona and they did not have an office there, they recommended Viator to us. We found their web site easy to use, good descriptions and photo's were provided. Once working with Viator in Barcelona, the sites visited were well worth the ease of entry they provided, the guides were sharp and very personable, the vehicles clean, safe and of an appropriate size. The groups were usually small enough and experienced travelers who enjoyed being advised but not lectured unless we wanted the background. In those cases, the tour guides were well versed and personable. This was not a "herding cat's" tour. We had free wandering time rather than being brought to a market where sellers provided kickback deals, where we could get off the main streets safely and deal with locals for food and drink. We have booked recently with Viator, recommend it to friends and see no reason not to use their services where ever provided. We enjoy the comments and photo's provided by clients, even for tours we don't intend to take, as it provides local color for areas of cities we intend to visit.

The best

I booked last year with them 2 tours in hawaii my sister was sick with cancer so it was important the be good tours. Got lucky found this site on line looking for things my sister could do in a wheelchair with her boys. We got the best tours and had so much fun. So now going to europe and instead of a tour group we deicided to go on our own and book tours we want to spend time doing. So knowing how good a time we had on our other tours we are doing all europe toursthru viator. thank you

Unbeatable!

I find when I travel I have this as an app on my iphone and my iPad mini and doesn't matter which I use all my details and bookings are there for me all the time. I just photograph my voucher and then no paper perfect for any traveller.

I wouldn't see half of what is available if it wasn't for Viator. Recommend it to everyone young or old. I will be using it for my 4 month trip around America Europe and England ...thank you Viator keep up the good work.

just booked a tour with viator for when we go on our belated honeymoon in june 2013...this is something we both have always wanted to do...at tour of a vineyard with wine tasting in tuscany,,,what a perfect way to spend a hopefully sunny sunday afternoon...really cant wait...:)

Seems good only just booked a tour so will know better once tour complete too.

This seemed like a good way to book a tour, no queuing for tickets so i just hope the tour goes well too.

Easy site to navigate, great tours and very helpful if incorrect dates are chosen

I have used Viator in Europe and America and have never had a problem.
The tours are well organized, affordable and so easy to book. I love the fact that you can print out your vouchers from home and you have paid upfront leaving more spending money, It also saves the hassle of trying to book tours when you reach your holiday spot.
