On-line ordering and delivery was a breeze compared to other websites I visited.
Because it was sale season I got a good price but £39 for delivery meant I paid slightly more than B&Q as they only charge a fiver for delivery. Having said that the shopping experience was hassle free and everything arrived on the exact date I wanted it delivered. Some other firms actually delivered the taps, the plug and the bath from seperate warehouses and there would have been a six week difference between the bath arriving and the plug, plus nowhere apart from Victoria Plumb could I book the exact date of delivery before I paid. Some other retailers had a very cavalier attitude regarding delivery and it was on their terms whether they actually got round to delivering it at all.
I do not understand why baths are not supplied with a basic plug as standard. After all you cannot use it without one, its a bit like ordering a car without a steering wheel and then having to buy one on top of the price you've already paid. I consider that a hidden extra which bumps up the price, and all the retailers do it, which is very sneaky!
The bath was good quality as were the taps and I finished up paying for a more expensive plug in order for it to enhance the fittings, which was a bit extravagant really, but I couldn't find a bog standard plug which had a silver looking chain. Everything was simple to fit, and I'm very pleased overall with the products and service from Victoria Plumb.
I waited 8 days for product to be delivered only for it to not arrive. Victoria Plum blamed the couriers (once I finally got through on the phone) and they were very unhelpful. Nearly two weeks and still not received what I ordered.
I still want to change my order, but I can never get to speak to someone - although apparently my call is important to them! and no--one at Victoria plumb has replied to my emails.
I will try again today - please someone at Victoria plumb -SPEAK TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were very happy with the product and the price charged for the product but the price of the delivery was really not very acceptable. I understand that when ordering a full bathroom suite the delivery cost of £29.95 is nothing really. But when order one item which was a wall cabinet at the cost of £49 to pay £29.95 for delivery was really unacceptable. It is nearly the same cost of the product. Surely they should create an option for smaller delivery charges depending on what you are ordering.
We paid the fee this time around but will definitely think about it for future purchases.
Found this website and the products looked really good at a reasonable price. However one of the products was out of stock but due to come back in really soon. On the day it was meant to arrive we were told that it wouldnt be availabe for a month!! to make this even worse we couldnt get through on the phone for 40 mins!!! totally unacceptable!!!!! We asked for this ordered to be cancelled and over 2 weeks on I am still waiting for my refund. Which incidently has now cost me over an hour on the phone of try to get throught to them! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! would not recommend this company.
Victoria Plumb offer a great looking product and sales service... until something goes wrong i.e. a part breaks within months of installation. You are required to provide so much evidence of installation (when it's actually an inferior product issue) that a re-purchase seems a more attractive option - for the value of your time.
shower tray arrived on time but on inspection was damaged. called number provided had to wait 25mins but when I got to speak to the guy at the other end he sorted a replacement for next day which arrived on time and was In perfect condition so
great service really, and a good bargain I think.
I wanted a basin mixer tap and a shower thermostatic tap. So, you might ask? Well I wanted it shipped to France.
No info on the website, so I emailed them and they replied. Tell them what items I want and they'll get me a shipping cost. So far so good. After three more emails, they decided to put the two taps on a palette and ship the palette to France; at a cost of more than the combined cost of the two taps I wanted.
Come on guys. Unless you are using only trainees in your customer services department, all with no initiative whatever, you have got to do better than that?
I ordered 1 bath, bath pannel, showet screen, taps for bath and sink and waste unit. Lorry turned up on time but without the goods, no explaination after 11 phone call to V P and 15 to night freoight the third person that V P send the goods to rather than deliver the goods straight to the customer. I have requested full refund but still I am waiting. Don't buy from this companty. The service is poor, staff are rude no customor care or quality of service and I have been waiting 5 days for. Someone to Call me back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

It's more often that we rant about bad customer service, but I'd just like to say, Victoria Plumb have been absolutely amazing with their customer service, advice, value and patience with me changing my order for my new ensuite 3 times (!) - just all round brilliant.

the suite itself is excellent couldn't ask for better however i was missing some rubber washers in the shower head and poor quality soil pipe from loo shame it lets it down but all aspects of the suite should live up to your reputation,
I ordered a walk in shower after scouring the market for the best price. Victoria plumb stood head and shoulders above the competition. From ordering it to receiving it they kept me informed all the way even to the drivers ringing me 40 minuets before they delivered it. Although it is not yet fitted yet I checked it over an it is as good as all the reviews I read on it. looking forward to using it.
We opened a trade account some two years ago and have probably spent circa £20k but have now no choice but look elsewhere this is no reflection of the product but it does not work for the trade . We build houses and our sites are open 8-4.40 like all sites and your deliveries are 7-7 and no way of changing these times there is no way any opritive will sit and wait until 7 after politely asking one of your sales staff in trade if there was anything they could do to help we were told to cancel the order ? So Victoria plumb in there inflexible terms are not workable for the trade .
MADE 2 SEPERATE ORDERS , FOR TAPS AND THEN A BATHROOM SUITE, TAPS CAME THROUGH BY COURIER V QUICKLY. BATHROOM SUIT WAS SET FOR DELIVERY AND 20 MINS BEFORE THE END OF THE ALLOTED 3HR DELIVERY WINDOW I GOT A CALL FROM A COURIER EXPLAINING THAT HE HAD BEEN COMMISISONED TO BRING MY DELIVERY FROM THE MAIN DELIVERY LORRY SO THEY COULD MEET THERE PROMISE.

I would recommend Victoria Plumb to anyone. The quality of the products is very good and most certainly offers value for money. I was given a three hour time slot and the order arrived 15-20 minutes after the 3 hours had elapsed which wasnt drastic, my only gripe here was that the delivery men didn't unpack and remove packing which had been specified on the web site and I wasn't thrilled at paying appx £50 for this service and delivery. However I had a small part of one item missing, I rang the following day after delivery and the customer care assistant immediately ordered me a complete replacement, no hastle and it was delivered the very next day.
I would most certainly use them again.
All in all I was quite happy with the internet shoping experience. There were a couple of things that I had to get elsewhere because Victoria plumb did nto stock them e.g. bathreplaccement shower trays.The main problem was the delivery, i was led to believe that the items i purchased were available for next day delivery, i didn't realise that there was a increase in delivery proce for this and after paying the extra £20 I was told that there was an error so would not be abelt o be delviered until the following day. So i took a day off work so I could be there for the designated time slot 12-15.00 I tried to call when the delivery failed to arrive but the telephone line was busyl. The delivery finally arrived at 9pm!! With o prewarning that the delivery was late...not happy!
We needed to replace a shower tray and door and took a day out to hunt a new one down. We visited all the DIY/bathroom stores to compare quality and price but found that, even after finding something suitable, there was an average of 6 weeks waiting for stock. After seeing an advert on the tv for Victoria Plumb, I thought I'd just have a quick look at their website. What a difference in price and choice, and they could deliver within the week. We ended up going with them as the tray and doors we bought totalled the price of just the shower tray on the high street stores - and VP delivered to your door. I have since recommended them to a friend, who is in the process of upgrading her bathroom. I would definitely use them in the future - without even bothering to go out to look elsewhere.
A Couple of items I ordered were out of stock, when I cancelled one of the items due to it not being available I had to wait ages for the money to be refunded back to my account. The bath I ordered was damaged on delivery, company were happy to send a replacement a few days later and said that they didnt want the damaged bath back, that means I now have to dispose of it, which is not great customer service.
Clean and crisp website with accurate pictures and descriptions. What we ordered arrived exactly when our email update stated it would, important as we had a plumber working that day who needed the products.
I ordered and paid for a significant amount of bathroom equipment in Jan this year, and asked Victoria Plumb to keep it in the warehouse for me for a few months whilst I got everything in order. They confirmed that they had put my order to one side and would deliver it when ever I needed it.
Skip forward 3 months, and I ask for the order to be delivered.
Order arrives and it's missing a 2 meter tall shower door. I phone up, and they confirm that they've given my door to someone else, and no, it's not going to be delivered for another month as it's no longer in stock.
Skip forward another month, and today I receive a phone call telling me that the new delivery date isn't going to happen either, as they're having supplier issues. I've got the builders coming in next Monday to install a shower, and no shower door to be installed. Even worse, the nice lady on the phone can't guarantee the new delivery date, and I may have to wait even longer. Also, that if I want advice on what replacements are available, I'll have to call back, because "that's not my department". Very disappointed in VP as for everything else they've been excellent, but the fact remains that my whole building project is being held up because they can't keep their promises,even after 4 months to get their act together.
I have made two fairly large purchases as I am refurbishing a seaside bungalow,
The deliveries were on time and the products of good quality (as judged by my plumber),
There was a problem with one item but this was dealt with without any quibbles,
I have yet to open all the boxes but I am sure that all will be more than satisfactory.

Waited over four weeks for out stock bath not a problem then told delivery date 15/05/14 between 11:42 14:42 waited until 17:00 then phoned V/P waited 15 min told they contact delivery company who contact me . No one phoned back, phoned again at 18:00 on hold for 13 min told they pass me on to delivery but put back on to the same line waiting 27 min gave up.
Phoned 18:45 at last some one answered told me she checked tracker and could not tale me were the delivery was, not sure if its in bristol or not, I have asked for information as I would like to make a compensation claim for one days holiday wasted waiting in for non delivery . V/p cannot inform me were my delivery is or when I will get it as I have taken a day off and will not be home the following day what a shambles, there prices are good but sorry would not use again as there sites with better delivery then V/p v/p ask appliances on line about delivery they are Fantastic you can learn some thing from them.

DAY 2. NO delivery still phoned v/p 3 times theres one hour wasted waiting , phoned delivery company been told v/p failed to deliver good until midnight on 15/05013 even though they said it was to be delivered 14:00 hrs that same day ? How . Delivery company said they can't deliver today so 2 days looking out of the window for a flaming van another call to v/p customer service well that what they call it , just phone line to to add to v/ p profit, any way customer care said they phone back in few min well one hour later no call can't say they tried as I have given them both phone numbers UPdate 11:30 still no contact from v/. P called what they call customer care BETH said she contact delivery company will call back in 15 min will they ! 12:07 nothing another broken promise from customer care bloody joke Customer couldn't care we got your money!
The ordering experience was fine,, ordered on 24th April or delivery Thursday, 2nd of May 2013 on 1st of May I got an email saying "With reference to our telephone conversation we hereby confirm the agreed delivery date
of your VICTORIAPLUMB.COM order with tracking ID 0000333836 for 02/05/13, 12:47 to 15:47."
There was NO telephone conversation! anyway not a problem so we waited and waited and NO delivery, contacted Victoria Plumb by email and no reply until following morning, when I was told it was on it's way and we would receive a call from the driver.. we NEVER received a call and the order eventually arrived about 7pm
Why give the customer the ability to specify a delivery date, give them a time slot and them deliver more than 24 hours late with no explanation and what communication we had from them was abysmal
we would now have second thoughts about making future purchases from Victoria Plumb

The website is great - easy to use and good prices. I was surprised just to be "told" when my delivery was coming rather than being able to ask for a date.
Write as if speaking to a friend? Good idea; 5 years ago I decided to fit my wet room out with goods from Victoria Plumb, best value for money and a good service.
I fitted the soft closing seat which never really sat right but it worked.
Just over 4 yrs. later (Dec. 2012) the seat broke; a small piece of plastic within the mechanism had shattered, at the time life was tough and I couldn't deal with this so I just moved it to the left and carried on using it minus the soft mechanism.
Finally, in May 2013 I went on line and ordered a seat advertised on the site which was on a toilet like mine, ordered it and one week later removed the old seat, that took 85mins! Why? Well the nut would not unscrew, it had stuck, what a ridiculous design! I removed it through sheer determination without breaking the toilet and I am 61yrs! Next the new seat was incorrect, I could not remember the name of the toilet but the picture on the site showed a loo like mine and therefore believed that it would be the same as but this seat cannot be fitted to a toilet which is up against the wall; THIS IS INCORRECT ADVERTISING, regardless of information given you don't show a toilet seat on a toilet that it can never be fitted to, it is impossible to fit this seat to a close coupled toilet that is up against the wall; it should be advertised on the type of toilet that it can be fitted to.
I tried to get my point across to Customer Services and couldn't but I did discover that they have a record of my original order and could send the correct seat. With courier this one is £53, the first replacement £15 plus courier and courier service is £7.96 each time so I can get a refund of £15 but not courier cost!
So do I send it back? I cannot describe how I am physically feeling after the battle with one nut! I do not accept that
1. a design is so bad that it lasts just over 4yrs. and costs more than £50 to replace. Not to mention it stains and can't be cleaned properly.
2. Why are Victoria Plumb advertising a seat on a toilet that it can never be fitted to?
