Good products rubbish packing

Really happy with products but we had to store products because of delaysin some renovation work we stored items in safe lace but upon opening the boxis we discovered a cracked toilet pan & cistern we called Victoria plumb but they refused to replace because of length of time I blame this completely on poor packinging.

We constantly review our packaging and we will take this on board as a discussion point. In regards to our exchanging the item, we do ask that customers inform us within a reasonable timescale that items are delivered faulty. On this occasion as the item was delivered five months earlier this was not deemed reasonable for an exchange to be authorised.

Good prices, not so good customer service

I bought a vanity unit which was described as pre-assembled only to find that the basin was separate with no fixings for either the basin or the unit. Very disappointed. The price for the unit was very good though. Perhaps I'm getting older now but I found that the website for ordering and delivery could be better and response from Customer Services was very slow and although I requested a call-back this did not happen but instead got an email.

Excellent service but goods not yet installed but look great

It was easy to order the goods, loads of choice, too much really. I got everything for a really good price. I was unsure if the sizes were correct so rang customer services and they were really helpful. Decided to stick with my first choice. Can't wait to get everything installed.

No Urgency and No Call Backs when things went wrong

Ordered and paid for a bathroom (bath, sink, taps & fittings) i January and delivery for the items in stock was pretty straight foward and okay. However the bath was showing as out of stock until March, but that was okay as the new bathroom wouldn't be ready until then. A couple of days before it was due to be delivered Victoria Plumb called and advised stock had not arrived and would now be delivered to me on 10th April, about another 3 weeks away. Not ideal, but what can you do.

Recieved a text saying the goods had been despatched on 8th April and would be delivered as planned. Took day off work on 10th to receive the delivery and got a call from DX Couriers advising they hadn't received the bath yet, but would call me when they had to re-arrange delivery. lost a days money, but who cares...!? Received 2nd call a few hours later from DX saying they now had it and was at my local depot 2 miles away in Croydon, so can deliver tomorrow or I could collect. (Perhaps they think everyone has a van on hand....?) Arranged for my wife to stay home all day Friday (Today) as was 'deffinitely' being delivered today. Being as the depot so close to home and already missed the planned delivery date, was expecting it to be the first drop of the day, alas no.......

By midday nothing had arrived so called Victoria Plumb and was told that their tracking system was reporting the bath was in the Dartford depot (about 40 miles away) So what happend to it being in Croydon? But they would contact the couriers and come back to me with an update shortly. By 3.30pm had not heard back from anyone so called again and was told that thr tracking system now said the bath had been scanned and was out on the van for delivery today, but again they would get a confirmation from the couriers and get straight back to me. By 5.10pm had not heard from anyone and by now my wife had sat in all day and needed to go to work, so i clled Victoria Plumb again. Was told that indeed the bath was on the van and could be delivered anytime upto 7.00pm. I asked why, that despite the promises nobody had called me back or emailed me? "Sorry that's not very good is it", was the reply, but the couriers should have called you. My contract is with Victori Plumb so they should be calling me back, not fobbing me off and why if the bath was in Croydon yesterday has it been put on a van in Dartford....!?

I work in the service industry and despite the people at Victoria Plumb sounding like they care, unfortunately that's where the service stops, so won't be using again! Fair to assume the £300 days money i lost I'll have to swallow and they'll be no sign of the bath in the near future............ Poor, very poor!

Update: Nothing arrive Friday, called Saturday and told that the couriers don't operate Saturday, so I paid the plumber for whole day but not needed and told unlikely to be Monday now more likely Tuesday............won't hold my breath

Thank you for you feedback and I am sorry for the disappointment that has been caused.

I have had a look in to this and the issue does appear to be with the courier in the fact that the stock was sent however it was not transported at the correct time by the courier. I have asked for a response from them regarding this as it is not acceptable.

I have also asked why the contact centre did not keep you updated with this issue when someone should have taken ownership. I can see that the delivery has now been booked in for 16t April

Great value and great service!

Was a little concerned about buying straight from the internet, but needn't have worried - the quality of the bathroom suite was excellent - way above what you should expect at these prices!
Delivery was on time, and they give you a 3-hour "window" for delivery so you don't have to stay in all day - wish other suppliers did this too!
Their sales help desk is also very friendly and knowledgeable.
The only caution I'd give is that a first-time bathroom DIY-er would be well advised to get some professional help with the installation as the instruction sheets say, as they do assume a good basic working knowledge of bathroom fitting and plumbing.
All in all, a great experience with VP and a very happy wife now she has a new bathroom!

Only order if you're completely sure you won't need to return an item

Unless you return items within 7 days of delivery you'll be charged a 20% 'restocking fee', plus delivery etc. Sadly I wasn't able to return the single item (one of several ordered) due to a delay in building work until 13 days after delivery, though any other company in the UK normally allows 14-28 days to return unwanted unopened items which I assumed would be the case here. No. Very much a computer says no situation, i'm now £50 out of pocket should I choose to return the item to them. Wish i'd gone with one of the other online suppliers, or B&Q/Wickes etc where you're treated like a normal customer!

I am sorry that you are disappointed with our returns process. We do allow for returns to be carried out up to 28 days as you suggest however the restocking fee is required as we will have to place the item back in to stock. This is only done if the customer does not require the stock they have ordered and wish to return. If the item is faulty we would not charge a restocking fee.

If you can find a local courier who proves to be a more economic process for returning the item then we are happy to receive stock this way. We do offer a collection service that is available at £49.99.

Great product, efficient service, both online and delivery.

I chose the product due to it's flexibility with installation widths. My walls are not plumb but Victoria is!! The doors are sleek in design and looks great in my bathroom.

Watch out!

Ordered a bathroom suite, they had sent out the bath with no legs which should come with it. Rang customer services and was on hold for 6 minutes so gave up. Our plummer managed to get through to them , they advised they would sent them out. The time was getting nearer to having our bathroom fitted and still no sign of the legs so we rang again and they advised they had none in stock and if our plummer bought some, they would refund him........the problem being you can not buy them on their own!!!!!!!!

Had to take them off the old bath and bodge it. They knew the bath they sent had no legs and that is really bad customer service!!!

Puts me off buying from them again in future.

This issue was sadly not caused by not having the legs in stock. The bath has the legs attached to it when the item is sent out. Unfortunately on occasions the legs are lost during transit to our customer and that appears to have been the case here.

Excellant service.

Victoria Plumb kept me informed at every stage of my order. Even when delivery was delayed I was informed straight away with plenty of notice. On the day before delivery I was informed that the toilet handle would be sent separately by first class mail - so yes everything arrived as scheduled on the same day, very good attention to detail. I will definitely be using Victoria Plumb in the future.
