So after waiting for a week for my VPS to be setup I got tired of waiting and went for another host. I contacted Vilayer regarding this and their answer was that their systems didn't alert my order. I can relate to this, so there were no hard feelings. I did however have new hosting, so I requested a refund of my money.
A week or so after this I have just received an e-mail from Paypal with a bounce back notitifying me that the money never left Vilayer's account, so I couldn't get my refund.
i was getting ddosed so i went to these guys i kept getting ddosed but they chose soo many excuses it was boring in the end they just ignored me and my tickets
I will say in there defence that they have helped me but once they realised I knew I was getting DDoSed they gave up on me and tried to blame my home network ?_? , now having provided evidence to the contrary (videos screenshots and traceroutes ) they just think i will go away ,but i wont , anyway like i said 5 days and no answer to a high priority ticket which in the mean time has left my server un usable
poor poor and more poor better off hosting from your home pc
UPDATE after posting a review here they suddenly where interested and banned me from there teamspeak server (reason bad language ) i never once swore / any way after that my service was suspended because of DDoS the same DDoS that didnt exist for all the tickets i sent them asking why i was getting DDoSed even though they had DDoS protection , I never got answers but its obvious they dont have DDoS protection
They also advertise locations in Europe like UK Germany that just dont exists they have 2 locations 1st is France 2nd is Luxembourg again false advertising
And to add salt to the wound they write there own reviews to try and trick people into thinking they are any good
My advice use your home PC and home net you will receive a better service
Also Id like to add when i first purchased my server it was in the wrong place and the operating system was out of date , I imagine if you set up a server and had no problems then yes i suppose a good review is fine but as you can see if you scroll down the reviews is
even the slightest problem is a big problem at Vilayer
The only good to come from this is I did receive a full refund but I still refuse to give them another star this could have been sorted very fast and I would have just moved on so they only have themselves to blame
Nice to see they have removed the DDoS protection notice from there web site , its a step in the right direction

When I found their page I was amused - Awesome prices, Cool guy on their "Teamspeak Support" helping me to choose between products - everything was absolutle cool!
When I finally got my product I could see it was another hosts product, so they're reselling other's products without mentioning, but that's not it, under Dedicated Servers they tell you have several features Especially "Control Panel" with a lot of features, but the only thing on this is that it actually doesn't exist.
I talked with their support telling me I couldn't NEVER EVER get such service for the product I got because it was a lower end, but I wasn't informed of such limitations in ANYWAY, I even looked through their other products to see if that could be true, still nothing.
When I went to the Teamspeak Support and talked about the situation the Supporter played dumb and then told me I couldn't get that because of my product, later on he began to yell at me and later on he tells me I don't have access to their Teamspeak support anymore because "I've been writing with the other customers" But it was one of the volunteer asking me if he could help, I sent a screenshot but no reaction - The Supporter banned me before I could say/do anything - I am now permanent banned from their Voice Support.
We've had issues (Minor and some larger ones) but that isn't the point.
Issues are always dealt with quickly and professionally, ticket support is answered 100% within 24 hours, usually more like 2-3 hours but if you jump on their TeamSpeak after submitting a ticket including your ticket number you will get support immediately.
They've got guys from both UK & the US so there is always someone on hand to help.
Aside from the great support our server is hosted in the UK but we have players form the States and Australia who get acceptable, playable pings. Updates are frequent and their communication about updates, downtime etc is pretty good.
Overall I would highly recommend this company to friends and I'll be looking to rent a server when DayZ Standalone comes out.

I have rented DayZ servers from Vilayers for about 5 months now and the new Wastland .. Had some major issues with some of them ... Made Tickets and had a response within 2 - 3 hours , But when using T.S it is sorted out straight away ... I have another service from another Server company and their support is not even there .The only problem I have had is from all you Hackers messing up my servers... Honestly, I can't praise Vilayer enough for what they provide. When you get a server though them it is of the highest quality. The support team response time is all most instant. If you have very little experience with managing a server, their support team is willing to take their time and explain it all (not to mention the support staff are all top blokes!). I will be utilizing Vilayer for all my server needs now and in the future and would recommend them to everyone who needs a server for what ever need!
We started with Vilayer services when Dayz was just starting to make a mark in the Arma community. We have had many servers with many different hosters. It wasn't until Vilayer offered private hives that we considered owning more than one. We host an official, private and now we have a wasteland server as well. They inform you ahead of time of changes to be made to server and have even offered a discount for service days that have been interrupted. Dayz is in alpha mode so getting mad at a hoster for trying to be on top off an alpha game is sad. Vilayer has been updating maps, releasing new features just to make server hosting enjoyable to the owners. Our group will be with them for a long time to come. Now i just wish parents wouldn't let their children rent servers. Managing the backend of minecraft, garry's mod or any other heavily modded server will become a pain. Vilayer staff is helpful if you are patient with the ticket system. If you are brave you can hop into the teamspeak and voice your issue there. Remember its people running these servers not robots. If they were robots they would not care about your servers. They do and our group will continue with Vilayer.
We discovered Vilayer when DayZ was released.
We were very cautious about hosting for this game... We had tried 3 different providers before finding them. Boy we are glad we did find them!
They have the best running game servers we have had the pleasure of renting.
The support staff are quick and well informed.
For those giving low marks here... I really account the bad reviews for lack of knowing what they we doing in the first place.
DayZ is ..and was a game MOD in constant development.
To think that it was the hosting companies fault that there were issues with the game.. (and there have been many issues with dayz from the start) is really a joke to me.
Vilayer has changed the face of a game now and has the largest hive running Dayz. They have added content for all players to enjoy (FOR FREE).
I have just added some new services with Vilayer and can't begin to express how great the performance is and how great the staff is over at Vilayer.
They even have a Teamspeak3 sales and support server so you can go speak to someone 1 on 1 about anything from sales to technical questions.
Whats not to love about Vilayer?
I would honestly say to stay away from this company. Through out the 3 months I rented a DayZ Server from them I had various downtime, adding up to around 10 days.
Their replies from submitted tickets would take usually over a day with a copy & paste job answer.
Lastly, after having spent at least 2 months building up a base on our DayZ Server, they felt it wise to wipe the entire database. Leaving my donators, and regulars complaining about their stuff.
DayZ Public Servers are popular.
Plenty of technical issues.
Tend to steal work from others and claim as their own.
I rented a DayZ Gameserver from Vilayer, and after using a coupon, the price was only 20.5 €
They then said that the server would be up in an hour, so I basically just sat and waited for it to be ready. After about 1½ hour I saw that the server was running, and I was very happy. I started patching and checking out the features, and I was very enthusiastic. But after 3 hours the server still wouldn't show up in DayZCommander, so I contacted customer support. I was a bit frustrated and tried downloading all kinds of server administration programmes to try and make it work, but it didn't help.
But when I woke up the next morning, Vilayer had responded and wrote, that the server startup had been interrupted, and that they had re-provisioned the server.
From there on everything worked like a charm.
All in all, have patience and Vilayer will be the perfect place to rent a gameserver.

This company service is absolutely horrible, find another company. Since day one, I created a ticket to have a CS:GO server up and running, they lost my payment, couldn't find my ticket number and after my confirmation number was e-mailed to me, they said it was another company, not theirs even though it had their name and signature at the bottom. So they said try opening another ticket, like an idiot, I did. I sent through another payment with the guy on TS3 on the line. They received the ticket and I paid with PayPal. After 3 threats that my ticket was going to be dropped if I didn't pay, even though I explained to the guy the money takes up to 4-5 business days, he did not care. All said and done, I finally got a broken server handed over to me. It will not sync with Steam, the files are messed up and two service tickets later within two days, I have still got no response. It's pretty insane that I have a job running servers and systems, and to fix them, unless you have broken fiber or other major issue, it takes a few minutes to fix any software issues. This is a gaming server, why is it so hard to fix a gaming server?. This company needs to either provide better training and/or rework their customer service reps. Lost tickets and missing funds is not the way to do business.
Kinda strange... It looks like they posted a bunch of excuses as to why they like to get paid to do nothing on the other persons review. Why not fix yourselves than try to point fingers at other paying customers as to why your customer reviews are down? Oh, did you see someone got their service shut off because they left a bad review? Does this sound like a company you want to give your money to?
I was thinking of buying a gamehost for DayZ game.
Vilayer seemed nice, as they we're advertizing "instant setup" for the game.
I bought the game, it took a while to install and I was a bit nervous, I even made a couple of tickets but finally they informed me that it was ready.
I was pleased with the admin panel, as it was simple, but still pretty good compared to some other hosting services.
After a couple of days I had some problems with the server and had to turn to support to get my issues resolved. I didn't receive any reply from the support for 34 hours as meanwhile my server was unplayable (unresponsive).
I made another ticket complaining about the lack of service from support.
Suddenly I was made aware that there was a major problem in Vilayer side which was affecting my service. I was informed of this via the first ticket about the server and admin panel being unresponsive. Then the second ticket was suddenly closed stating I should not make two tickets of the same issue. I felt offended.
I replied to the ticket (thus reopening it's status) and complained about the answer and treatment I was receiving. I stated that it was not a duplicate ticket and the customer service person hadn't really answered to my complaint.
I was met with blunt answer again. I was told that Vilayer gives no service quarantees to customer service and the ticket was closed.
I feld bad, betrayed, angry.
After that, I have been using the server okay and Vilayer has rolled out a couple of updates which I have been pleased to find. Although everything now seems fine, I'm still afraid what will happen the next time I need to turn to customer service.
Took them 3 days to finish setting up a server, when it was finally finished they managed to set 2 up somehow and not notice this, they then noticed the 2 and killed one of them but in the process they killed the database which was connected to my other server, so it ran smooth for about 2 weeks after they fixed that problem which took about 12 hours, until they decided to up and move all Australian servers back to the USA because they were running at a loss or so I hear, well this was all done without notification, or warning whatsoever, so I applied for a full refund based on the assumption the 30 day money back guarantee would apply, only to receive a pro-rated refund for 2 weeks on a service which was only used barely a week.
i get a teamspeak 3 server today and love it love the support team and the owner <private date removed> is soo cool guy so i think you everyone should buy a server off vilayer.com

I was browsing around looking for cheap good hosting companys, we all know its hard to find one. In my search I found Vilayer.com. Contacted the owner and his staff a few times about setting up a service with them. (BTW Very friendly and professional support) Anyways, I've been with Vilayer for over 10 months now and I have not had any reason to leave them. No lag on their servers, Nothing bad from them at all! Top Notch in the Business!

They screwed [link removed] by shuting down there server for NO reason! They can't even resist some critism or bad reviews, or they will shutdown your server! DONT take any servers of them!
They aren't really trust worthy as they told us our server was located in Amsterdam and it was actually located on France!?!?they also sell you dedicated servers resold from OVH, Kimsufi or Hetzner.There support is very standard and they cant take fedback if its bad.They also banned a owner of a MC server from there service without no warnings.
