Opened a Vodafone account 14 months ago and had consistent problems using the phone in Europe. Customer services told me it was not their signal but the phone that was the problem. Even though the phone came from them with my package they didn't want to know about repairing it! Helpful staff in Barcelona and Italy tried to help and said they would inform Customer Services in the UK so I could sort it out when I got home. The only help I got from them was to be told that I couldn't get out of the contract and that I would be charged if I tried to leave. Can't wait for December when I can tell them where to go!
