Do I have to select a star!!???

I have been with Vodafone over 3 years...and not been happy with the bills, customer services and generally the whole company!!!
I had been over charged on each bill for no apparent reason and took me over 2 years to get my money back for the over charge!! I had to go through my bills each month an check properly .. just to see where they will charge me extra!
Not happy at all!
If I could have left the stars blank I would have! (unless you can :p).

Too ling wait, bad customer service

I am left waiting for half an hour already in the store. That is because I have an issue with them, otherwise all the other "potential" customers are fastly attented. That is how important a current customer is. Disappointed!

CONS OF THE CENTURY!!!!!!!!

DISGUSTING *****DISGUSTING*****DISGUSTING*****
VODAFONE ARE "THE CONS OF THE CENTURY! """""""""" AND THATS AN UNDERSTATEMENT !!!!!!!!
UUUFFF.... I FEEL BETTER NOW.............
When I signed up for my 3 contracts I specified that the whole point of going on a contract was to keep track of my phone bills, so I clearly stated TO SUSPEND MY SERVICES WHEN THEY REACHED THEIR LIMIT!
The sales man agreed that they would do that... Well he lied!!!!! From £110 monthly bills which I agreed to .. It's gone to £360 monthly bills, I complained so loudly they refunded me £179 promising to let me know by text when my credit reached the limit... Guess what? They didn't and again £350 bill... I nearly died of a heart attack and got £20 refund,WOOPPYYY basically they lie for the company and probably earn a good commission for conning their customers.
If that wasn't enough they admitted that the capping service didn't exist??? So was told to keep checking my account on line for calls allowance and data allowance !!!! why do I have to do this all the time ? I didn't sign up to be robbed of my peace of mind and my time !!!!! Don't believe how can a public business get away with daylight robbery!!!!!!!
Don't use their services it will bankrupt you and kill you with stress!!!!!

The Worst Kind Of Company Ever

This company really needs a kick ... somewhere.. They seem to be following how BT was only a few years ago. Look at BT now they could have been in a king position.. I don't think Vodafone are going far - I think their management has lost customer focus - to terminal level. They are so "contract based" and not "customer based".. If you don't think that is not a problem you try dealing with them when you have three contracts (or two) or just one you would like to adjust!. You are no longer human you are just three contracts or whatever you have.. etc. I dont see this company lasting more than a few years before being taken over... And senior management fired! they are living in "block type" management and if they were honest they know that! .

As a matter of fact that is where I came from. I should have been sacked for so many things.. So I am just being a critic from the outside. I know that is so easy with so many issues to deal with. But there is ONLY one really big rule of business - that is the customer comes first. I know how customers feel.I could change this.. but....

Don't port your existing tel number to a vodaphone contract!

I had been a Pay As You Go customer for a few years when I was called and offered a sim only contract which I decided to try. I was told that I could keep my phone number and that I would be changed over at midnight the following day.

I am given the 191 tel for customer services if I have any problems.

The next day I have no signal and my PAYG sim has been disconnected.

Obviously I cannot use the 191 number to phone them as my phone has been disconnected!

Anyways I give them a call from landline and having been passed to 6 different departments I find out that a new contract sim is in the post....a week on the sim still hadn't arrived. So I give them a call and cancel the contract. I now have to go into vodaphone shop to get my number put on a new sim.

So as a result it has cost me time, money and I haven't had a phone for 8 days!

Now that's what I call great customer service....!

They phoned me and now I have to sort out their mess! What kind of Mickey Mouse company are they?
Wish I never signed up in the first place!

Not at all relaible and no customer satisfaction

I am using the corporate plan for both voice plan and data plan. My data plan was of Rs.89, when activated and now without any intimation it has been changed to Rs. 199/-. The customer exceutives are not ready to provide a reason. Its just as if they dont care. This is not for the first time, I have experienced such a problematic suitation.

unlocking issues and liars!

filled in the form on their website, topped up £20 to have my daughters phone unlocked due to having poor communications with vodafone. waited 24 hours as i was told to do so. contacted them and told to wait 48 hours for text or email. contacted them again and they said 7-10 days for text or email of code. contacted them again and they said they said that nokia the manufacturer of my phone is slow and having issues with unlocking nokia lumia 520. vodafone cant do anything until nokia sorts it from their end.
so.....
i contacted nokia directly and told them about the issue of unlocking this phone model. they denied any issues with unlocking this phone and said they have nothing to do with unlocking the phones and that vodafone is possibiy playing around and delaying purposely in order to keep customers on thier network. nokia expalined that the code to unlock any phone comes directly to customers from vodafone and not nokia and that there is no reason for nokia to delay this whole process...
contacted vodafone again after this and they now say its a backlog of requests they have to unlock phones and thast the reason for delay.....
absolutely useless and would not recommend at all.
if your about to buy a nokia lumia 520 on vodafone and want to unlock it...AVOID!!! i have waiting WEEKS for this and nothing.
i have kindly given a generous 1 star but only because it wont let me post this review otherwise i would give it 0 stars!!
vodafone are not bothered about their customers. AT ALL!!! my special needs child has been waiting for this phone to unlock.disgusting service ... if you want to call it ''service''

great network compared to ee

It is a part of a human nature to write complaints when you are unhsppy with something, but no one can be bothered with a couple of praises when things go well.
I have been with Vodafone UK for over 5 years and the services I have received have been excellent. Good signals in most places and good customer service.
Vodafone have recently upped the price of their sim only products while reducing the customers' data allowances. This prompted me to leave and get another sim only contract with EE. Wow, what a pile of poo that move turned out to be. EE is attrocious. I have all the data in the world, but can't even download a simle text page, even with full reception. I never had this problem with Vodafone. In fact I never had any problems with Vodafone, well apart from their price increases.

Absolutely Disgraceful Company

If Vodafone was a face, right opposite me right now, I'd have punched it. That's how strongly I feel about this company. My complaint goes unanswered, I got fobbed off to the ombudsman, who proposed a remedy that Vodafone are refusing to implement. Top it all off, they change my direct debit date without authorisation or warning, which is surely against some rules or laws.

Trust me, I could name so many people within that company who I absolutely despise right now, who all try to bully you into submission.

And if you thought the directors office was any better, they're not. Total scumbags the lot of them.

If anyone has ever spoken to two of the Customer Relations managers you'll probably know what I'm on about. 2 absolutely disgusting individuals who deserve nothing but a strong kick up the backside. How they're even in a job is beyond me!

All in all, I'd recommend to anyone to avoid this company like the plague. Even their chairman and directors could care less. An unbelievable attitude really but clearly the plague starts at the top and appears in curable at the moment.

Disgraceful, don't enter into verbal contracts with Vodafone

In August 2013 I upgraded a phone in a phone call. I was told if I returned a working touchscreen phone the handset would be free. I told the sales guy I had an old samsung, but it was working and was touchscreen. He told me that was fine. I waited for them to send me a prepaid bag, and phoned 3 times to request it but it never arrived and my account was charged £58 for the handset. I called and asked for a transcript of the call which Vodafone told me they would retrieve. I've repeated this request 3 times, and the last time they told me I would have to write to them with a cheque for £10! In November a courier came and collected the phone. In January I chased the refund of the £58 and they took my bank details. Twice. Still no refund. On the third request they said they would credit my account. Still nothing. The last time I called I was told a manager would call me back in 48-72 hours. There was no call. I wrote to Vodafone and they replied, curtly, that if I supplied a valid account number they would look into it (I provided the mobile number in the letter).
I'll now take this to the ombudsmen. I'm staggered by the disgraceful service, but most of all that they have repeatedly failed to do what they said they would do on the phone.

Sarwada: I understand let me just check for the discounts , which might work more cheaper than Uswtich deal
Sarwada: We are offering discount to employees as we have tie-up with few of the companies. Can you tell me where you're employed at the moment ?
Jayne: Also a cheaper tariff is FREE Nokia Lumia 625 24 months 300 minutes 250MB data £17.00 a month which is closer to my usage
Jayne: At the moment I am a supply teacher on a temporary contract
Sarwada: Okay “Is there someone, like a friend or a family member who can nominate you for the discount via their Employer? Just to let you know they can nominate up to 6 connections.” Like NHS, Boots, Barclays, UNIPART, BLACKWELL, BAXTER, HSBC, LLOYDS BANKING GROUP, etc.
Jayne: None of those apply sorry
Sarwada: Okay.
Sarwada: I appreciate your interest in Vodafone and although we can’t specifically do that deal online, what I can do is arrange for a call back from our dedicated telesales team.
Sarwada: Please can I take your contact number so this can be arranged?
Jayne: What is the. Best cost you can do?
Sarwada: I will arrange a call back from our telesales team to assist you with the deals.
Sarwada: Would love to have you join us, so please give me the contact number and i will arrange a call back to discuss the deals with you.
Jayne: No thank you it is something we either sort out now as no landline and current mobile reception is not great to discuss Ts and cs
Jayne: I can join you through u switch
Jayne: Thanks for your time but not possible to sign up just now at the costs offered
Sarwada: Just to make you aware uswitch is a 3rd party dealer.
Sarwada: Third party dealer who gets paid on commission basis for each sale . They only sell the airtime agreement and not the service Benefits. When you take out a contract with Vodafone directly, you will have a postal repair facility available and also you will get the Loan handset at time of repair and also you will get a warranty until your contract end date.
Sarwada: I can check for any discounts which I can offer you now with my manager.
Jayne: I am well aware they are third party they still have to comply to DSR sale of goods act etc
Sarwada: Yes, that's right. And its great that you aware about it. However, you will not be able to place your order on uswitch.com website particularly.
Sarwada: If you try to buy it will redirect you to a different website altogether.
Sarwada: Probably mobile phones direct.co.uk website.
Jayne: Or phones uk or affordable mobiles etc
Sarwada: Which is actually a cash back company.
Sarwada: Yes, that's right.
Jayne: Thank you for the information that I am already aware of
Sarwada: There are many companies like that.
Jayne: Did you check your best deal?
Sarwada: And you see they can do cheaper price than all UK network.
Sarwada: Not just Vodafone.
Jayne: I am running out of time here
Sarwada: I will be quicker here Jayne. But first you need to know how third party dealers work. Because you see they are neither network provider nor the manufacturer of the phone.
Sarwada: So they can't provide cheaper price without any catch.
Jayne: I am aware of that I am running out of time
Sarwada: If you check it; they have cheaper price than all UK network providers which includes Vodafone.
Sarwada: Okay.
Jayne: I have also used cash back since it started over 16 years ago
Sarwada: Okay.
Jayne: What is your best deal I need to go out and I am running late
Sarwada: I can help you with the best deal available with Vodafone but it will not be same as what third party dealers are offering.
Sarwada: Is that okay with you?
Jayne: I am going thanks for your time you said you were checking what you could do with your manager my time and cash is important to me
Jayne: Thanks again goodbye
Sarwada: Yes, I was checking it
Sarwada: And I got discount for you.
Sarwada: But is not same as the deal you are looking at third party dealer's website.
Sarwada: I have also asked for your number to arrange a special call back.
Sarwada: If you can provide me that we can conclude this chat right now by generating special call back.
Jayne: You know why I am not needing a call back we are going round in circles thank goodness it's not a billing issue or handset issue as you have not listened to your customers needs ....... Perhaps I will get as you say a different offer through a third party on a different network
Jayne: Thanks bye
Sarwada: I understand what you are asking for. But I would suggest that you please understand our limitations as well.
Sarwada: They are third party dealers who remove very important services from actual service provider's deals and making the price look cheaper.
Sarwada: It is obvious to get attracted by their prices. Even I would have too if I don't know the difference.
Sarwada: If you are okay without these important features then you can surely go ahead and place your order from them. You will still get the same Vodafone network
Jayne: Ohhhh dear you missed the point ......
Sarwada: The discount I have is flat 50% for the first 3 months on the line rental..
Sarwada: Please explain it Jayne. :-)
Jayne: The same vodafone service you are offering me when nearly 20 mins ago you were checking the deal with your manager .....
Sarwada: Because all I am understanding is you are asking for the deal which on different website on Vodafone. Right?
Sarwada: And about the deal
Sarwada: I did check it
Sarwada: I did inform as well.
Jayne: Wrong I keep asking what is YOUR BEST DEAL which you were checking with your manager ages ago
Sarwada: Okay.
Sarwada: Here is the best deal:
Sarwada: Nokia Lumia 625
Sarwada: With 50% discount for first 3 months.
Sarwada: Price is £21/month before discount.
Sarwada: After discount it will be £10.50/month for first 3 months.
Sarwada: And then back to £21/month.
Jayne: 18.24 you were going to check discounts 18.46 you finally offer me a deal .....
Jayne: Too late
Sarwada: Okay. :-)

I found the adviser patronising and was very frustrated my friend said it took over 40 mins of arguing to get any deal from them - they also failed to answer original questions unless prompted, also the chat was transferred -

I will let you draw your own conclusion

Vodafone are tiresome, disregard their customers and treat you as if you possess 3 brain cells at most.

I have written to Vodafone twice in February but they have not had the courtesy to reply to me. I have received texts instructing me to telephone the Director's office which turns out to be a section of Customer Services (at 14p per minute). My first complaint was that £1 was being taken from my credit balance and being turned into 25mb of data to be used that day. This happened 3 times so I contacted them and said my data was switched off. I was then spoken to as if I was lying and told that it must be on. After arguing with the employee whose tone was one of total disregard and phoning again later I was eventually told that that they were changing their computer system and this was one of the glitches. But as I was only the third person to complain she could not tell me what was being done about it.
Then on 18th Feb. I tried to top up my other phone online ready to go away but found my debit card was showing as expired. I phoned customer services 3 times, one in India and finally, 6 days later, had a chat with one of their team. It wasn't until I started to get 'shirty' that it was explained that they were changing their computer system and this was one of the problems. No-one seems to care and will only impart that essential piece of information after they have tried to get you to admit it's your fault and you are just an imbecile. My phone was topped up manually by them and they did put £10 on my phone so that I could go away. But I don't want freebies. I want to just top up and go. If there is a problem why can't they put a note on their website. But of course they wouldn't do that because that would be owning up to something and treating customers with courtesy. They take you all around the houses, frustrate you hoping you will just clear off. Well I am going to do that. I can't do this again.

Utterly incompetent, useless, and lazy customer service.

After 5 years with vodafone i cannot WAIT until my contract ends and i can move on. One unmitigated disaster after another with them, and their customer service? All of it based abroad with people who barely speak english, can't understand the most basic of instructions and are unable to assimilate basic information. Its tiring and a complete waste of your time. If i had back all the time i've spent complaining to vodafone i'd probably have another degree by now. They turn the most simple issue into a difficult one, tie you up in admin with different people for MONTHS and eventually compensate you with their standard 'one month free line rental' which is an insult when you've spent 3 months trying to resolve something. They are rude, incompetent, lazy, disorganised and generally utterly useless and i can't recommend you avoid them strongly enough.

Sends you bill even after disconnection, followed by "LEGAL NOTICE"

I sent a mail on December 23, 2013 for cancellation of my postpaid number, and never switched a phone on with this sim.
I got bills for next 2 months in my mail. When I complained, customer care executive says that you didn't ever requested a cancellation. And the next day sends a legal notice. I resent the earlier request, and haven't gotten a reply ever since.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Robbery of an old age pensioner of a bill for over £1,000 due to the incompetence of an Egyptian call centre, who spoke and understood very little English. They sent me the wrong SIM card for my New I pad. Due to their mistake I ran up a bill for over £1,000 for approximately 1 hour 20 mins uk mobile internet use. I appealed against this bill and even took it to the ombudsman who ruled in their favour and said I should pay this ridiculous bill. After letters have failed to appeal to them they are now threatening to send the bailiffs round to me if I don't pay the bill. I am an old age pensioner, living on a basic state pension and this has totally destroyed me. How heartless can they be. They have stolen what savings I have. Vodafone were patronising and unhelpful and told me I had to pay this bill. Sachin Parmar of Vodafone customer services after repeated letters to him, his attitude was threatening and unhelpful, and the unhelpful smart Alecs at the Sheffield head of credit collections who have threatened me with bailiffs actions to seize what ever possessions I have to pay the debt. BE warned, be very careful of this shower they call Vodafone and AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!

Unmitigated excrement

I've put up with them for a year or two - my mobile phone was vodafone and my internet dongle was vodafone. The wouldn't stop spamming my phone with nonsense offers of freebies - opting out didn't work so I dropped them. The dongle is unreliable and slows down for no particular reason, has a ridiculously low speed and is expensive.

Inexcusable, I'm trying [external reference] for my phone and will probably go with [external reference] for my internet.
