Reception has dropped out and they won't do a thing about it!

I have been with Vodafone for many years and always had an ok signal at home and generally good service everywhere, however over the last year it has been getting progressively worse everywhere but especially at home. I have tried 2 other phone manufacturer devices to make sure it is not my phone but no difference. I did get told by one chap at Vodafone that the 4G rollout may be affecting it, but no good to me when I can't receive a call or a text and Vodafone want £400 to buy out of the contract, even though I have offered to send the phone back etc.... So far I have been assured 3 times by different people that they know what the problem is, but no fixes yet, new SIm card, various steps. Be aware their network is falling apart and they don't care they just want the money! Come on Vodafone I am offering to pay a cancellation fee but not £400, I need another provider, it is your fault I want to go!

HELPED ME SAVE MONEY & CHANGED CONTRACT TARIFF FOR CHEAPER

This is my first time on vodafone and I'm pleased already!
I have just got a contract on my cousins account who has been a loyal customer to then for a few years now. My iPhone 4S unlocked is now at it's dead end and now upgraDing to 5s! I went on phones 4u Ans car phone warehouse and the vodafone deal was great! Uml texts and internet 5gb data free phone 4g ready 32gb! I did not understand 3rd party companies till we looked on vodafone where the contract offers were extremely poor and not very competitive although the deal on P4u and CPW are on the same network. I would have to pay more and pay £99 for the phone also had only 9000mb. Cheapest deal for my needs. I could not get it through 3rd companies as my cousin wouldn't of got accepted most likely, we spoke to live support chat team on their website (voda) who told us to call them next day to see what they cold do... 15 minutes of phone call done and GREAT NEWS!

Vodafone matched the phones 4u & car phone warehouse price, putting in conclusion my cousin is a loyal long customer who hasn't missed a bill. The agent spoke to the manager for confirmation before though. But it has been accepted I was very worried due to reviews shd people saying vodafone can't change apple contract types, also bad forums saying they aren't very good to long loyal customers but this proves them wrong!

It would have been 5 stars if the original prices matched a lot better! But 4 stars for being great getting and changing a deal for me! If I could it'd be 4.9 stars but can't do that... Over all happy and hope to have a great future with them!

Painful to the very end

I put up with garbage service and coverage for 4 years and finally gave up after coming out of contract recently. Swapped over to another provider and Vodafone stuffed me around for a week with incorrect codes to unlock my phone. Very happy to see the back of this mob.

Never again

After more than 10 years on this network I am glad to have left for EE! They do not care about existing customers one bit! All they care about is new customers. I wanted to buy myself out of my contract I was that sick and even that was a nightmare to do! I will never ever join this network again!

Avoid

It is so nice to see this company finally getting the caning it deserves on the web - my advice is to read the reviews and then walk away. I had a PAYG phone with a large amount of money in credit which I used as a backup to my contract phone with O2. I used to make a diary entry to make a call at least once every 4 months so I could keep the number active. However, the one and only time I forgot, with no warning whatsoever, Vodafone disconnected the number and I lost all the credit. When I phoned up to query it I was read the terms and conditions by 2 different Customer Service officers and told to write to head office, but they will say the same thing - so they had effectively stolen my money and stuck two fingers up at me.

I will never touch Vodafone again and I am pleased to say that my experience has persuaded many friends and colleagues to steer well clear and when my company renews it's mobile phone contract, which is a multi-million pound contract, I will do everything I can to influence the decision to ensure that Vodafone does not get it!

I very rarely hope that a company goes bust, but the sooner it happens to Vodafone the happier I will be!

Rubbish

I have with Vodafone more than 3 years, and had 2 accounts before. there was no problem at all until last year November. I decide to close my account, cause i am planing to go back China. I do not want any trouble left behind, so i called Vodafone on November 2013 to terminated my account and paid the termination fee. later on i notice there was £275.62 transferred from my account on 02/12/2013, i thought this should be closed, cause this was the same figure given by your people. But i did not receive any confirmation letter. Surprisingly on January I found there was another charge from my account by Vodafone at £330.43 on 02/01/2014. i called at lease 3 times since then to check what is going on for my account whether is closed, if not why and wat should i do. Every time they said it has been closed and £330.43 will transfer to my account. I can not trust anyone any more, only i can do is call back double check. Every time i am disappointed! Now i notice there is £36.80 charged on 31/01/2014. i despaired of your customer services, i wish this email will be noticed by some one can really help! I need my account close and my money back. For the time i waste and the fees i spend on calling Vodafone i want a clear explanation.

Guess what , there is never easy to find the way to complaint.

Dont even go near them!!!!

I had an account with them for more than 8 years as a billing customers. Last November 13 as I went oversea for a period of time I requested them to transfer my plan to prepaid service. Guess what, today when I called them and asked while number is disconnected. 5 different staffs said 5 different things, 1 result in common : your number is lost forever and you will never got it back madam!

And I dont even owe them anything on my account. Guess I should have listen to all other 600,000 customers who have left them in the September 13 quarter. At least I would have saved my stress and cortisol level for having to deal with them.

My advive: dont ever go near them unless you want to be unhappy!

Do not use this company.

First month of a 2 year contract and what a shit company. I'd been with Orange years with 300 mins never gone over 1 month with 300 mins with Vodafone and I'm over by 200+ mins costing 30+p per min. All because this company charge you per min not second. I'm not sure how they get away with this but it's discussing. Now stuck counting down the month till I can say screw you Vodafone.

A pathetic excuse for a network.

I pay £48 a month on vodaphone and I do not get good signal anywhere. My phone can go upto 7 hours of nothing coming through I.e receiving no texts or calls no internet connection, it's terrible, if vodaphone knows about this problem they should do something about it ASAP before they lose even more customers due to how horrendous the network is.

Daylight Robery! Worst customer experience ever!

I have had nothing but problems with Vodaphone since the start. One in Three phone calls is dropped. Data is almost non-existent (about 20% of the time I get the 3G service, the rest I can only pick up the very very very slow "E" service AND I live in Central London!!!!!!!). And here's the kick in the teeth, they have been overcharging me for MONTHS now. My plan is about £50 a month (very high compared to others) however my bills come out to £80-£90 every month. Vodaphone can't even explain these extra charges. It's all a joke really. Please, please, please, please!!! Go with EE, Three or O2 but at all cost avoid this company. I can't wait to join the upcoming class action lawsuits again Vodaphone if I don't get better service from them soon. If they don't sort themselves out soon ill be filing complaints with the OFT and FOS and will see what legal avenues I can peruse to end my relationship with this company. This is the first time Ill have complained to a regulator about a company. Vodaphone is in the bottom 1% of consumer experiences I have had with all firm/business over the course of my life. I can't express my frustration.

Rip Off Merchants! And Damn Good at it!

I got a Nokia Lumnia with Vodafone in May 2010. They gave me a test drive on data which was why I got the phone, but despite repeated calls to Vodafone, it never worked. Didn't stop them upping my usage to 1gb though, and they charged me for it!

I went abroad in December thinking I'd have my phone, but two bills of over £150 despite phone not working at all in second week of trip definitely put me off Vodafone forever.

Can't wait for my contract to end so I can go elsewhere! I can't believe anyone else could be worse. Where's the no stars please!

Why does it take so long

New iPhone4 is unuseable. Been to Apple store and replaced phone so must be down to provider. Nobody seems to care when I call and everything takes ages to happen......left on hold for 50 mins today.....then disconnected!!!!!!

Lost a 13 year customer because of lies and incompetence.

Was with Voda for 13 years. Never had a problem until last year. I have two phones with them, one for my wife and I. August 2013 I asked Voda to start debiting my wife's bank account for her bill. They said no problem. Anyway, when they moved over the billing details to her account they failed to assist her any of her free texts and phone calls. This led to her being charged full rate for all calls made and it wasn't long before she got a bill for four hundred pounds even though she never went above her free calls/ texts allowance. It took me two to three months of dealing with less than helpful and sometimes downright untruthful people to get this sorted. I actually should have left there and then. Did they offer a long standing customer any compensation, you bet your life they didn't. Eventually I had enough and decided to through hassle of changing companies and getting a deal elsewhere so I requested my PAC code so I could keep my number when I change airtime provider. A few days after a Voda rep called to see what they could do to keep me as a customer. I told them what I wanted and after a bit of negotiating they agree and offered me a very good deal for my wife and I. This happened on a Friday and I was told I could expect the phones on Saturday and they would be with me between 08:00 and 13:00, well I think you all know what coming, yes your right, they failed to deliver them. This is after me telling them I was going to leave because of poor customer service. So I gave them another chance and what happened ? They failed on the first time. So, I then rang Vodafone on the Saturday afternoon to ask what they're playing. Spoke to a very apologetic chap who agreed that I was totally let down especially as I had decided to give them another chance. So, this chap James laws his name offered more discount on my deal, this on top of the already great deal they gave me to stay with them. He also gave me his personal guarantee that the phones would be with on Monday. Guess what's coming ? Yep, you guess right, they failed once again to deliver the phones. Two days wasted waiting in for phones that never came. At first I though it might have been the courier drivers, but now I firmly believe it's all down to incompetence at Vodafone. So enough was enough. I rang Vodafone and told them what they could do with their phones. This time the guy on the phone told me couldn't cancel the phones as he had no idea where they were. No surprise there then!! I told as far I was concerned the deal was cancelled. He said that's fine and he'd even waive the fee for doing so. I laughed and put the phone down. Still have my PAC code and I'm going to use it this time.

Awful

Joined a 4g plan in September 2013. Live in Sheffield city centre- and don't get any 4g.

Customer service is horrendous. Barely speak English.

On hold for hours. Live chat is always busy.

Bt wifi bundle doesn't even work. Signal on the whole is appalling. Calls always drop. Just generally very poor provider who just doesn't care.

I made a mistake joining these cowboys. Don't make the same reader.

Utterly Abysmal. Vodafone are finished

Tried to change from a ten year old paygo deal to text & web freebie. Ordered micro sim, put it in new phone, called the number, waited....they said i had to go into shop to activate. Shop said this deal no longer exists even though I ordered from the website two days previously. did 24/7 live chat help desk on the vodafone website. They said Everything is as I ordered, will need 48 hours to activate. Waited........Repeated.....Waited....Repeated...I could go on. They told me after the fourth time and 6 days later that the sim i was using wasn't valid, and must go back to shop. Went back to shop, they said they were having problems, so gave me a different sim with a different number and £10 credit for a few days until the problem rights itself. Went back to shop and they said everything should be fine, and they've topped me up. Checked balance, no they didn't. 24/7 live chat again, went through various steps, and they offered to call me to speak to someone directly. The phone rang, and the person on the other end couldn't hear me. IF THIS IS A JOKE IT'S NOT FUNNY. Going over to three who offer the 3,2,1p deal. Vodafone are going to put themselves out of business. Never think their contract will be any better, cos it won't.

Awful, rude and condescending staff.

Have been in a dispute with Vodafone since Dec over a charge that I was never told about. The person I first spoke to was rude and patronising but I put up with it, I was told that someone would call me back within a few days after investigating my complaint. No one called me back for 5 weeks. I eventually called them back. The second bloke I spoke to was worse. He told me that charges are added all the time without the customer being aware or told, was not apologetic when I told him no one had called me back in 5 weeks and when I asked to speak to his manager he told me that it wouldn't make any difference.

I finally spoke to a manager who was just as rude and told me the exact same thing as the stupid bloke I spoke to before. They both admitted that charges are added without the customers knowledge all the time and apparently there is nothing anyone can do.

I feel stuck as I have a whole year and a half left with this awful company and I cannot afford to cancel my contract.

I will definitely not be renewing my contract with this company. Their staff are rude and patronising and I'm pretty sure their call centre is in India.

Absolutely had enough.

Waited forever for customer services

They are friendly people, but OMG! I had to wait forever! I made international calls to vodafone to cancel my account. I have already told them they had to make it quick. But they are still so slow and my call ended (due to limited credit i have) without unable to cancel my account. I wasted my money over nothing. And that pissing me off. I wish they'd continue my request without me confirming it for the tenth times.
