DO NOT USE WAHANDA!!

The following complaint was made to Wahanda and they are not refunding any money after a month of emails coming and going. A shocking customer services and a ridiculous massage place. do not use these people! It is not what it seems at all!!
Here is my complaint:
"My husband gave me a voucher for a massage in Christmas, it was for the Thai Therapy in Marylebone.

I am very upset as he has spent £65 in what I believe was a total ripped off of a place. I do not want to upset him going into detail about how bad it was but I will express my concerns to you.

-The venue is tiny and difficult to find, one has to walk through an empty open to anyone gym, however and due to a problem with the tube I was late, so they told me that the cubicles were full and I was then taken back outside the venue into the street and inside a cafe with a sign that read "Cafe Salt". I only realised this when I came out as I could hardly believe that it could be possible!
I was then made to laid down in a futton mattress on the floor in a strange room were a light bulb was missing leaving a couple of holes in the ceiling.
-The place smelled weird with a mixture of the oils and perhaps the Café?!
-The masseur didn't ask if I suffer from any injuries or physical conditions.
-The masseusse didn't ask what kind of treatment I wanted.
-The music was irritating rather than soothing and the same cd was played twice, the cd was scratched and was left to jump for about 5 mins till it finished.
- When my husband contacted them as I was having trouble to locate the place they told him that he was the who had to send directions as they were too busy to do that.

I feel that if you are going to sell vouchers for these places you should be aware of what are you selling, I didn't feel relaxed and at times I wasn't sure I was safe.

I am extremely concerned about what you are selling and will be looking further into this issue.

I hope you can provide a satisfactory explanation on how do you get to charge £65 for something that doesn't even look legal!

Complete waste of time

I tried to book an appointment for a wax through Wahanda. The first time I attempted the payment I was told that there had been a problem and to please try again, which I did and was told again that there was a problem with my payment. Decided to leave it but realised that, despite being told my payment had not worked and never being taken to a card verification page, the money had left my account both times. When I called the salon, they told me the booking had never been made. After spending nearly 20 minutes on hold, the operator at Wahanda informed me that, while the money had left my account, they had not claimed it and to do so, I would have to provide them with my bank branch's fax number so they could get the funds released. In the end, they returned my money and were perfectly polite about it but seriously, what's the point? In the end booked straight through the salon who gave me the same price.

It just doesn't work for customers

Reading all the salon's reviews raving about Wahanda, I want to say that customer experience is awful. I've tried to use it a few times - it never went well and without customer service help (the second time I didn't even reach customer service, it was about 10 minutes waiting time and I gave up). Either payment system is down, or salon cancels a pre-paid booking, etc. It's very early stage product and shouldn't have been launched really before integrating properly and setting up operations of working with salons.

West London Colonics - Honing our service offering with Wahanda

West London Colonics ( www. Westlondoncolonics.com) are a specialist colon hydrotherapy business, and we have been working with Wahanda for about a year and a half.
Even without really doing all the things we should have been doing to optimise our Wahanda business page, we found the site has accounted for around 20% of our client base.
The number of Wahanda clients has varied month by month; and strangely we had more clients in earlier days, when our offerings were less honed.

Jess Goulding, our account manager is a gem. We had a meeting with her in December that really opened our eyes to was possible for us to do with our Wahanda business page/ space. And we spent much of December implementing her list of suggestions (multiple offers, different pricing ranges, booking lead times, linking wahanda calendar with our own, etc) . iI’s been a good thing to do. We also refreshed the text on our business page, playing around with the content / look .
We looked also at our approach to reviews posted by clients on our Wahanda business page reviewing what information they were actually giving us about our service. The facility to make comments on reviews posted is a great feature, which we are using as a matter of course now.
Of course, all of this this has involved hard work, and we haven't yet seen a massive client response - its early days for that. The real point is that without the ease of using the Wahanda portal to edit our offering, we would fall into the trap of many businesses of having a ponderous web presence, i.e. slow to respond to clients. That’s the problem we find with our website- that its content tends to stay "fixed " for longer than we would like. (Too expensive, and time consuming to refresh regularly). No such problem using the Wahanda web page, really easy to refresh the businesses offerings.
We are now using content that we have tested on the Wahanda business page on our web site, so it’s a great of real time previewing of ones offering.
We also like that Wahanda provide a small gift voucher incentive to clients booking through them for reviewing businesses they have visited. It increases the likelihood of getting client reviews. This is something we increasingly recognise as being vital - worth doing just to understand how we are doing with our clients. What they like, don't like; want or don't care too much about.

The blog facility on Wahanda community space is potentially another great feature, and the site editor, Alison Rowley has been great in getting one of our blogs on line. We would like to contribute on a regular basis, as that’s the only way to generate a 'voice', so it will be good to see how many postings are allowed in practice.
We think that specialist niches, like colon hydrotherapy, needs to generate more of a buzz in the community pages, as its not an obvious health & beauty service. There are about 30 clinics on Wahanda that provide such a service, obviously minuscule compared to conventional beauty service (hair, facials, spas etc) but it’s a niche market with potential. We think the community space could be used more strategically to build interest . Its untapped potential.
To conclude: Yes, we would like to see more clients coming through the Wahanda door , but probably every business would say the same.
What is perhaps more important to us is how our association with Wahanda is helping us become a little more web savvy, and better able to use word of mouse.
We look forward to building our business relationship with them further this year.

I have used several 3rd party companys' in the past and wahanda are my favourite. It's quick , professional and always delivers bookings. They have a nice client base who are always willing to spend more money.
They promote your business extremeley well using images, content and a full broucher of all the other services you can provide. This allows your clients viewing a particular offer to look at all the other treatments you provide to encourage up grades.
You can redeem your vouchers on line using your own log in which is easy to use and alows you to monitor vouchers that have already been used to prevent clients taking advantage.
The team at wahanda are extremely professional, friendly and always happy to help.

We've been working with Wahanda for almost 2 years now, they have really helped our company grow in ways we couldn't even imagine. Wonderful Wahanda helps my business grow

This company tops up my business without me lifting a finger. I receive regular customers on a weekly basis from them and Last Minute. com. If I ever need to speak to anyone my calls are handled professionally and with a smile (yes you can hear them smiling). Everyone is only too happy to deal with any request you have. I work with other third party voucher providers and have to say that Wahanda is top of my list for reliability and professionalism.
