Ordering on-line was simple. I had to change the delivery date, due to my local council closing my road. When I called to explain this, the person was very helpful and rescheduled the date. The delivery came on time, as promised and the chap delivering the shed, unloaded it from the lorry and checked that all the correct parts were there and placed the shed parts where I asked him to. He was very considerate and courteous.
I found Waltons very helpful, accommodating and a darn site cheaper than any other supplier!
Everything about my order with Waltons was excellent. The product was at a very reasonable price, the order process was easy and the icing on the cake was the delivery team. I was not able to be in person at the delivery time due to other commitments. The driver was very understanding and unloaded in exactly the right position without disturbing the clients. This is an example of realism that should be followed by all delivery drivers!
After searching around a few garden shed manufacturers I settled on Waltons.co.uk having read about their many years (130) in the business and their computerized method of manufacture.
I'm so disappointed - in fact I'm angry that a company that can invest in modern technology should skimp or neglect the most basic of requirements - that the product ,no matter how cheap or expensive it might be,will assemble to completion without any major design faults on their part.
Sadly there were many.

Ordered a cottage style shed from Waltons which looks good, received free shed treatment which I duly painted on. In general quality is not bad, but several holes are in wood tongue and groove where knots have possibly come loose and these I have had to fill with wood filler. Also one slat was damaged and I had to repair this as well. In addition I asked for the shed to be delivered on a specific day, which was, as I understood it, agreed upon, but in fact it was not delivered until the day after. The guy who delivered it was polite and helpful and so also were the people with whom I spoke on the phone, thus the stars above are not for my experience with them, but rather the quality of the build. The felt was also pretty cheap as it molted all over the place and had no indication on the outside wrapper of how much felt was there. This was not good when we came to cutting.
We ordered the shed on line which was straightforward. We had some questions regarding delivery which were answered by a helpful gentleman when we contacted Waltons by telephone. We were kept up to date with the expected delivery schedule via the telephone which enabled us to make our own arrangements to be at home when it was delivered and in fact the shed arrived 4 days early which was great. The delivery man was polite and jolly considering we were the first delivery of the day and he arrived @ 7am- which also suited us. The shed was relatively straight forward to construct and only time will tell in regards to its quality. All round good job! and we will be looking to place a second order shortly
If you are going to self build a log cabin you will need to be an experienced DIYer. There are gaps in the instruction which only that type of person will be able to solve. Examples include, no instructions about how to lay felt, no hints as to which screws should be used on what and no instruction on making bases. However, all wood was machined accurately and went together easily without having to make any saw cuts etc. Some tips and hints might be useful in the instructions without having to look on the "how to" videos on YouTube, which incidentally were not much help.
My log cabin is now weatherproof and looks good. Looking forward to completing the build. Walton's log cabin overall score 9/10.
I recently purchased a Summerhouse by telephone and the service I received was excellent the delivery was set at the same time and I even received a call earlier to say if I want it earlier than the set date they could do this. The delivery guy was very friendly and gave me some good advice too. Everything was confirmed immediately via email in connection with my order.

Delivery booked for tuesday and arrived midday, fence panel missing. Driver noted it and took photos of items delivered. As all electronic expecting to hear from Waltons, no communication until I rang them on thursday, Sarah said they will deliver when item available. Potential for it to be middle of the next week but no confirmation as yet. Asked if it could be delivered sooner, no! Would have expected a call from Waltons apologising and making arrangements but no they expect you to do the leg work. Shame as I 'd done the groundwork awaiting delivery and now have an unfinished job. Customer service is average. Better would be to call me knowing panel missing and confirm new delivery date
Early this year, we made the decision to remove our little garden shed and to replace it with a super summerhouse. I decided to arrange this order with Waltons Garden Buildings. However, when I went on line to purchase, an advert came up for ASDA who were doing a similar item for around the same price. I thought "as I recognise the name, I'll go with ASDA". BIG MISTAKE.
The product is outsourced to another company who offered terrible customer services and seemd unable to tell the truth or to deliver the item. I had many conversations where I ended up in tears. My husband went on line and googled the 3rd party supplier and found lots of people ranting about how terrible they were.
I cancelled the order (which turned out to be very easy) and then waited for the refund to come through.
We placed an order with Waltons and I applied my husbands details as I was worried the same situations might happen. I was very wrong. Waltons offered a fantastic service and I highly recommend them.
We decided to paint the summerhouse country cream and after 3 coats, this is my dream space.
If you are thinking about ordering something, I promise you won't regret ordering with Waltons.
As above, the price, product, communication and actual delivery were brilliant but only problem was the day I booked for delivery online was not actually available. Consequently the delivery was delayed by a few days missing the time my dad was visiting and available to put the shed up for me. This caused a few problems but the rest of the service was great. Have used Waltons previously with no issues and would use them again.
Ordered new shed, quick and easy to order. Received a call the next day to arrange delivery....excellent. I informed the called from Waltons that we needed the shed to be delivered to our new property, some 200 yards along the road from our current address. I also confirmed this, in writing, by email, to Waltons Sheds. We were told 'no problem', just speak to the driver when he calls you around 30 minutes before the delivery. Around 0650hrs the day of the delivery, we received a call from the driver. We asked if he could deliver just a few yards up the road,,,,no! He had already off loaded the entire shed onto our driveway, and was calling to inform us of that fact.
What is the point of stipulating a delivery address if no notice is taken of our request/instruction. He was a nice guy, and didn't want to wake us up too early! Also, a good job I didn't need to move my car out of the driveway, because I couldn't until I had moved the shed. Also, a good job we have a trailer, otherwise I would have had to hire a van to move the shed to the requested/required location.
the fence I received is really a good quality quite heavy really pleased also pleased with the price and very good delivery they sent me an email to tell me when it would arrive between 7am and 7pm it was so good it came at 6.50 am how good was that. exelent fence.
really speedy delivery and delivery driver very good and helpful though he had forgotten to put the free stain on the lorry but advised me he would be in the area within a week and would deliver it then. unfortunately I am still waiting for it!
I purchased fence panels from Waltons, they gave me a firm delivery date and met all expectations. a trouble free transaction.
The product was reasonably priced however the service was poor. They told me that they would deliver the product on a designated day; they didn't turn up, solution? "Make a complaint sir!" Said in the style of a person that doesn't give a toss.
Product eventually arrives via a single crewed delivery driver. He looks at me, as if to say, 'are you going to help then'? The pallet was so heavy it was hardly a two man lift! The delivery drivers response to my concerns? "Delivery is free int it"!
He then gets me to sign and then walks away without even the hint of a thank you or a goodbye, which left me to ponder that, if you pay peanuts, you get monkey's!
I ordered new fence panels and they arrived as agreed, with fixing clips that were added free. I haven't installed them yet
The delivery driver was very helpful and gave the impression of a very professional company
I haven't used the company before but I will check them out first when looking for any additional items as I am renovating a house
Viewed several websites and plumped for Waltons based on both product choice and price. Online ordering process was very straight forward and delivery dates were known before committing the order. Waltons actually contacted us to ask if we could take delivery sooner which we could, real bonus.
Delivery arrived as planned and the driver placed the various panels, posts and fixing where requested.
Construction was straightforward with good instructions and all parts were present and undamaged.
Really pleased with the final product, good quality and well designed to give rigidity and confidence that it will last.
I ordered a fence panel online and requested an afternoon delivery as I was going to be out in the morning. Got a phone call from the delivery driver to let me know the approximate time that he was going to deliver. This is such a help as I could make sure that I was at home.
Bought from Waltons again as good quality and service. Managed to get it up in a weekend - 1 day for ground prep, 1 for erection. Only problem we encountered was some of the door frame strips were missing so we improvised rather than downing tools and waiting for this to be delivered. Think this could be avoided in future by a delivery note with a basic list of what should have been delivered so you can quickly tick off before the delivery driver disappears - you currently don't get a chance to do this.
I found the description on the website good with a couple of reservations. I could not find anywhere locally to view any metal sheds. The thickness of the metal was not mentioned anywhere in the sales literature. The size of a suggested base should be mentioned before the shed is delivered so correct preparation can be achieved.
I have now erected this shed on my own with just a little assistance for about five bolts in the side walls. Instructions were good, marking of parts was good.
I think the finished is a good storage facility. I think it might prove to be a little flimsy if it were to be used on a regular basis, especially the sliding doors. Time will tell
The item was arranged to be delivered on 15th November. On 11th November, Walton's called and asked if it could deliver on 12th November but this was not convenient. On 14th November Walton's phoned to say the item was out of stock. It has still not been delivered. Very disappointing.
Had ordered new panels from Wickes who offered good price but delivery charge was hidden until checkout. So when e-mail from Waltons advertising very free delivery and a good price I cancelled Wickes order and ordered from Waltons. Panels were same as any else so good value.
...no, no I insist. I'm paying for this 0845 telephone call I've had to call to get your customer service so please let me speak, or at least come right out and tell me that not only have I paid over the top for a shed I have to pay over the top for poor customer service.
In the end I think I got screwed as much as the shed.
The only reason I cant give 5 stars is that the instructions could have been clearer. This may not have been a problem though to a more experienced DIYer. But the company themselves cant fault. Would definitely recommend.
i wanted to buy a portabase and so rang waltons to buy one over the phone and they said I needed to write an email and so cant buy it on the phone. I thought this was bad. what if u do not have an email address. I would not recommend their service to anyone else.
