Sturdy gate delivered as expected

Not the most attractive gate in the world, but it's sturdy and a reasonable price. The fittings I bought with it are good quality and it was straightforward to fit. Hopefully it will last a good few years!

Let down by poor communication

After a week of having placed my order for a 10 x 6 shed & not being given a delivery date I decided to chase up Waltons. I rang up & after being kept on hold for 40 mins gave up & sent an e-mail to which I had no reply. Rang again & still 3rd in a queue after 35 mins, so sent another e-mail, but as before had no reply. After another half an hour on hold I eventually got past the auto-attendant & actualy spoke to a person & was given a delivery date!
On the day of delivery, driver phoned 20 mins ahead & was most helpful in taking the shed to my back garden to the final location.
Assembly was quite straightforward with no damaged or missing parts & overall the shed itself was good value for money.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

19 Mar: Shed ordered with delivery agreed for 1st April
31 Mar: Phoned to confirm delivery, and was told was first delivery for next day, anytime from 07:00
01 Apr: No shed, tried to phone from 16:00-never got through so sent email
02 Apr: No response to email- tried to phone again
03 Apr: Still no response-so another email
04 Apr: Still unable to get through on phone
05 Apr: Sent letter recorded delivery, saying if shed not delivered by 11 Apr I will cancel-still no response
06 Apr: Yet another email
08 Apr: Yet another email
10 Apr: Another email and Insult of customer satisfaction form received
Giving one star because you can't give zero!
Update 12Apr: If you can, it seems that the way to contact them is through Facebook. My wife posted a message on their Facebook page, and got a response within 5 minutes, and a second message was also responded to, telling me to email websales@waltons.co.uk if I wanted a refund - my money has now been refunded, and I can look for a shed from a proper supplier.

Great purchase experience, but let down on delivery

Great website and easy to check out select delivery etc. Product was fine and as advertised. But left slightly disappointed with whole experience by the delivery. I received several text messages claiming they would text 30 mins before delivery (great!), but never did. Instead they arrived, without notice, left the shed on my driveway (when I was going to ask them to take around the back) and left. I was in the house the whole time. I had to ask a friend to come and help to simply carry the pieces of the shed myself to free up my driveway.

Good Service Overall

Forgot the base on the initial visit but were apologetic and courteous then returned 2 days later and put the shed up quickly and efficiently - I would recommend using Waltons good service overall

Terrible

What a dreadful experience and I can safely say I will never use Walton Garden Buildings again or recommend them.

I ordered a shed from the site, which promised delivery 3 days later on a Friday, as it was required for the weekend. Nothing delivered on Friday. Nothing delivered on the Saturday.

No contact received from Waltons. So I called to be met with an automated response to say that if I was calling about a delivery and hadn't received a date its because it was still to be set. Then why if this is the case, is delivery promised on the website within 3 days?

So I call to cancel my order, and I'm told as calls aren't recorded that can't happen over the phone and I have to email, fair enough so I do so. No confirmation email is then received.

I receive a call a couple of days later, around the 6th call from an unrecognized number, previously no messages were left. The call is to arrange delivery. I explain that I've cancelled the order due to the poor service, no apology was offered and it wasn't even attempted to get me to change my mind, in fact after I gave the reasons why, the caller practically hung up.

Around half an hour after this call I receive confirmation of my cancellation and receive a refund within a few days.

Then I get an email to say how do I rate the service and to review the product I've bought!

Delivered promptly and product as described

Greenhouse was ordered online with no problems. Impressed with delivery arrangements and times, all as described. Did not put up for a few days due to windy conditions, but with help from a friend went up OK. Could have used a few more clips to strengthen the structure, but overall seems fine and as described.

5* customer service

Bought a shed from Waltons, couldn't ask for better service or price, a good quality shed with simple instructions.
As for customer service they are second to none 11 out of 10, I made a mistake of leaning the panels against a wall, the wind blew and a roof panel broke, I phoned the customer service line and within 2 days a replacement panel had been delivered free of charge, top top company.

Excellent service

6x4 ft garden shed, Arrived 2 days later,(phoned to tell me arrival time) about 3 hours to erect it. tools needed are 1 xhead head screwdriver (cordless better), 1 drill, couple of small drill bits, stanley knive, hammer, Read the instructions and its a doodle to erect.

THE MOST DIABOLICAL SERVICE - ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING

On the 12th February ordered over £700 worth of goods including a shed and 15 fence panels with an expected delivery of 5-14 days. Shed arrived by the end of the week (not even opened yet so hate to think what I'm going to find). Had no contact at all after 14 days so telephoned to be told that they were out of stock and they would contact me as soon as possible. I advised them that delivery had to be made on or before 10th March as Landscape gardener was going to start work and fences were required before work could commence. Having been assured by Laura, Customer Service Supervisor, that my fencing would be delivered on the 10th March my garden was bulldozed and all fences removed on the 8th. However, as work was progressing I received a telephone call from Laura to advise me that although 6 of the fences (which were actually for my mother, I had ordered in bulk to save on costs) would be delivered the remaining 9 were out of stock! To cut a long story short I finally received complete delivery of my order on Friday 28th March. However, I had to cancel a pre-arranged 85th birthday party of my father, my Landscape gardener cannot fit me in until April and I will still have to make some contribution to their loss of earnings, my neighbours, to whom I was once very close, have threatened me with legal action since my fences have been down their dogs have not been able to use their garden and finally today it appears that the fences are not actually 72 inches wide but are in actual fact 71 3/4 which means my already perfectly erected and measured concrete posts and gravel boards will have to be moved. Thank you so much Walton.co.uk which is a subsidiary of Mercia Garden Products. When I informed Laura that Trading Standards advised me that I would be entitled to 'consequential losses' she told me that the company do not pay costs like this. I have yet to open the shed. God knows what that's going to end up like!

Shoddy customer service

I ordered 11 fence panels on 9th March with a delivery time of 5-14 days. On 13th March I hadn't received my expected call to 'arrange a delivery date' so I emailed them to ask when I would receive this call. My email went unanswered until I received a generic email (from a company with a different name) on the 20th March apologising for the delay and that they were experiencing a high demand and there would be a delay in delivery - but still no promised delivery date. I then heard nothing again until 1 week later only to receive the exact same generic delay email this time from a different email address. To date no panels have materialised and I have got sick of waiting so have requested a refund. Lets see how that pans out!

Unfortunately I ordered these panels in haste and did not think to read reviews of this company, which is something I would not normally do. How I wish I had read all the stuff on this review site before ordering. These jokers take your money straight away without informing you at the time of purchase that there will be huge delays in delivery (that's assuming that they will ever deliver the products at all). Then when you enquire about delivery they ignore your emails in a shocking display of shoddy customer service. Its a shame that there is not a way of getting all these reviews out to a wider audience. Maybe then stupid people like me would think twice about ordering from these clowns and put them out of business where they belong.

Stay away this company does nothing but lie

I order products and was given a delivery time of 5-14 days and was confirmed through email. I emailed dispatch running up to the end of this time for an update to be told they would be in touch and I will receive my product before this deadline. I waited the 14 days and still had not heard anything so I decided to call them instead, biggest waste of time. Now I am being told by Laura supposedly a supervisor and one of the agents that oh well the lead time for these items has now been changed to at least 25 days and they just do not have the man power to contact everyone waiting to update them on the problems. When asked why when I have been in email contact why wasn't I informed of the changes it was inferred that they would of told me about the changes. I have all the emails and no I wasn't.

Laura now is supposed to be trying to contact the "man she knows who she needs to talk to" but what a surprise he must be walking around the warehouse counting his panels - her words not mine.

This company just try to fob you off and do not want to do anything about it. Steer well clear if you do not want to tie money up in a company for over a month with no updates and no deliveries.

Disgraceful !!!

I bought a Yardmaster 8x10 shed from these people in December. Due to weather conditions etc, it could not be erected approx a month ago now, it was found to be faulty. I contacted them immediately, and was told it would be collected, but they expected me to pay £30 plus VAT for collection, I argued that it was faulty and why should I have to pay for collection, but they insisted. I then contacted Trading Standards, who informed me that was not the case, as it was special circumstances, i.e. if you buy a lawnmower in the winter, and go to start it in the spring, and it is found faulty, you have the right to return it, without any cost to yourself. I emailed them this information,, which by the way is law !!! And still they have refused to collect without cost to myself. I am now in the process, with the help of Trading Standards, of taking Court Action. I paid two men a days work for erecting the shed, and also have all my tools etc in storage, and as this has not only, not been resolved, I am having to wait for a refund, and that means that further costs are being incurred by myself for a longer period, according to Trading Standards, these are called "Consequential Loss", which I will also be claiming. Be careful everyone, and know your rights before you proceed to buying from these people, Customer Care, is atrocious. One other warning is that if you find the premium rate number 08444777500 on your phone bill its is Walton Web number, although they show a freephone number !!! Shop around, talk to customer services, look at their policies. And PLEASE look at reviews sites like these BEFORE you buy, which was my mistake. I am an O.A.P and disabled, tbis has caused me untold stress, with a heart condition, so be warned. Customer CARE should come before anything else, and sadly in this case it most certainly does not

UPDATE:- Shed was collected on 13/3/2014, two emails later from me, and being totally ignored. I am now going straight to Court, and their local press, have had enough !!
