Good service IF they have stock. Do not believe the 'Dispatch approx 3-5 working days after order'. I have placed many orders which required back order, I always end up chasing and usually cancelling after a couple of weeks. If they just said 'hey its going to be a few week' and manage the expectation there would not be an issue.
it's a long one, so thanks for reading!.. brought an external heater from them September last year. it stopped working in November.. (it didn't look brand new when it arrived). so I called them and asked for some advice, because I had to cut the hoses running from my filter to my tank to fit the heater they suggested the best thing to do was buying another one and simply swapping them over and a refund would be issued when they had the faulty one back. (with the postage costs refunded as well). sounds easy! ordered the new one over the phone there & then. now here come the fun part! they didn't have any in stock when I placed the new order. so why was I advised to order it? was told that they would be back in stock in December. ok, I 'll have a refund for that and was again advised that if I ordered a different model of heater and send the faulty one back a refund would still be issued. ok, so ordered a different model and some new hoses to replace the one I had cut to fit the external filter. all showed as in stock on the website, easy! oh no.. the new hoses I had ordered were out of stock (they were not the original hoses from tetra tec to pair with my filter - cheaper replacement). decided to hunt down from another retailer some new tetra tec hoses to finally get the faulty heater back to them. keeping warehouse aquatics in the loop, sending emails.. just to confirm what was going on and I wanted my money back for the external heater. new hose fitted. faulty heater on it's was back to them, sent it as agreed 1st class recorded delivery. (with me still receiving updates from them telling me new external heaters would not be in stock until February.. why?!.. I don't know.) sent it back on the 15/01/14 and emailed them to confirm that it had been delivered and that is was faulty. received the reply of: We are just awaiting the new stocks which were manufactured last week to arrive with us - as soon as we receive these we can send your free of charge replacement straight to you. I read as they have the faulty one back, confirmed it as being faulty and we will get it finally sorted.. WRONG!! emailed them again, explaining I didn't need a replacement. NO REPLY! tried calling them, no answer.. tried again, sorry our phone line is down for maintenance - tried again.. bingo!! they answered and now claiming that they hadn't received the returned heater. THEY HAD! I had tracked it. DELIVERED!! now they were saying that I would have to give them parcel number - it was a month since I sent it, do you think I could find the receipt from royal mail?.. NOPE!! tried calling them again - sorry our phone line is down for maintenance.. And that's where I am. out of pocket and wasted plenty of my time chasing them!..
Last year i purchased a Arcadia led strip light, this unit developed a fault with the first year of manufacture, thus was still in the warranty period. After a disscussion with them they said to send it to them for testing. I sent the unit off and after a month of nothing i emailed them to find out what had happened and they emailed back to say there was no fault with the unit. How convieniant that they kept the unit till the warranty expired and then returned to say there was no fault. This unit was definitly faulty and there was no way that it had fixed it self. I received the unit back and sure thing when i put it on hey presto only half the strip was working. Warehouse aquatics have since asked for the unit back for further testing. will keep posted. Since last speaking to Warehouse they have sent me out a brand new unit, so overall I am happy.
Got my order today as expected. I love the fact that you can enter your own prices in (genuine competitor prices) and that you will match those prices. That is a brilliant idea which I am going to adopt for my own website. It gives the best of all worlds. You really can’t go wrong. Along with your bubble points scheme it makes you the cheapest around. Safe to say I will be back for more. I am a new customer and I give full marks for the site, prices and delivery. All A+. I am so pleased with the service received from warehouse aquatics that I felt I had to send in my thoughts.
Whilst the product happened not be in stock on the day I ordered it was swiftly re-ordered to ensure shipping to me as soon as possible I was kept up to date along the way and staff could not have been more helpful re the few times I called in for an update.
The product itself arrived at 11.30Am the day after being shipped in excellent condition almost as frozen as when it left. Given that I am on the other side of the country this is quite a result on its own. The price could not be bettered either at any of my local tropical fish outlets or on the net All in all fantastic price & I will defiantly be coming back for more and for all my other tropical needs.
My advice to anyone not sure about on-line purchasing or fragile items or frozen goods is that they are safe in good hands at Warehouse Aquatics Can be certain of great service and a great deal on price plus in the unlikely event of finding the goods they are after cheaper elsewhere then as long as they can provide the details (which WA can then verify) they will price match too. It does not matter where you live as the couriers used will always ensure in time and date deliveries as promised on the companies website All in all there really is no need to look elsewhere as Warehouse Aquatics ticks all the boxes a fish keeper looks for so why waste time shopping elsewhere.
I ordered 4 bags of gravel for my aquarium and the service from Warehouse Aquatics (WA) was fantastic. The carrier managed to 'loose' one of the bags in transit and when I informed WA they immediately set about rectifying the problem, kept me informed at all stages and had a replacement bag delivered in no time at all. I had almost forgotten what excellent customer service was in this day and age but WA have shown that it can still be done - Thanks to all on your team
I ordered an Eheim filter for my very large tropical fish tank and I cannot believe how good this company was. I was kept informed at all times as to where my order was up to and after it was dispatched I was emailed to let me know exactly when I could expect it to arrive. It arrived exactly when I was told to expect it.. One tiny component was missing from the filter box and was speedily posted out to me after I had informed Warehouse Aquatics. Again I got 5* treatment as I was kept up to speed with dispatch and anticipated delivery. It arrived safely the day after posting out. My experience with Warehouse Aquatics has been exceptional and I would truly recommend them highly to anyone wishing to purchase from them. We purchased a tank and stand from the website on Sunday night, both items showed in stock and available for store collection. I called them the next morning (Monday) to confirm order was received and that all items were in stock. Also explained the urgency as our tank had broken. I was assured all was in stock, but could I give them an hour or so to get the order ready. Left work to drive there 2 hours later. On the way received a phone call to say actually stand was out of stock. But he could get it for Friday! Not really that bothered that they had let us down or offered any solutions which may be helpful. Disappointing as we like to support local shops. Had to buy it from one of the bigger online stores.
I ordered an Aquarius universal pond pump from warehouse aquatics, as promised it arrived next day before 12 pm (I even received some free sample food!)
Just as I was setting my pump up I realised that the nozzle set was missing, I contacted Warehouse Aquatics straight away and they were very helpful and understanding.
I was told that the nozzle set would be sent out that day on a next day service, after reading some of the comments on here I didn't have much hope however, it did turn up at 10 past 9 the next morning.
I was and still am very happy with the service and care I received from this company and I can be sure that I will spending more with them in the future.
Received a package of a number of items I ordered, and only noticed that one was missing a month later. I pointed this out to Warehouse Aquatics, expecting them to just send the item to me - I didn't think any more of it. How wrong I was!
Warehouse Aquatics told me that as I had not notified them within 5 days, it was hard luck on me!
Had to subsequently waste weeks of time emailing (pointing out that they had, in effect, stolen from me), reporting to PayPal, then escalating as a complaint to PayPal. PayPal were fantastic and, of course, I received a full refund from them as they knew I was in the right.
Avoid like the plague. A dreadful, cold, unfriendly firm in my opinion. There are far better fishkeeping stores out there!
