After my husband decided to do some electrical DIY we ended up with no power!! I run my business from home so it was a disaster situation for me, we put in a call to We Fix Now, very friendly staff, very helpful had an engineer to us within the 2 hour timescale given, the engineer had us up and running within three quarters of an hour, phew what a relief, very professional excellent service, would highly recommend.
I am an existing customer of Wefixnow. I have been using their services for plumbing, radiator and boiler repairs and maintanance for many years, as the particular company is the only one I trust. I would like to thank Wefixnow for the excellent co-ordination, organisation and service they provide to the costumers. The repairs are carried out very promptly and in a very responsible and professional manner. Moreover, the operators arrange everything and provide all the necessary updates and information on time and in detail. Once again, congratulations on the high quality of the services.
I had a boiler issue and called WeFixNow. I was told that the whole radiator system needs to be flushed at a cost of several hundred pounds and paid their callout fee of £94.80 incl VAT. Called someone else for a second opinion, and they pointed out (an obvious, in retrospect) leak of a valve that needs replacing, which makes their initial diagnosis incredibly suspicious.
Called when I had a leaking boiler staff were friendly someone came out quickly and finished the job well. When discovering I needed a new boiler a competitive quote was given the next day and installation set for less than a week from the first call out. Would recommend the service
We were pleased with the job done but a little concerned as to how the job was costed. Would have liked a breakdown of the cost of parts and the cost of labour. Only given sub total plus VAT which did not reflect the labour costs of £59 per half hour.
I'd simply had too many appliances feeding back to one socket, which caused the adapter to melt and, in turn, lead to a burnt out socket which was visibly smouldering. This Company offered availability when others couldn't, initially with a time slot of 10.00-12.00, then 13.00, but with an actual arrival time of 13.45. The aggravating factor was it was a Monday and I was due in for work at 09.00. The engineer was very friendly and straight to the point, and confirmed the socket needed to be replaced. Initially he mentioned he may have a spare in his van, and that otherwise he would need to buy one. I replied that Wicks was five minutes down the road. He returned over half an hour later with a top of the range socket for £10.00 that you couldn't buy in Wicks as their stuff wasn't good enough. The problem was I was paying in 30 minute intervals, and this pushed the overall price up to £132.00 all in, simply to change a wall socket. The actual time on site was about 20 minutes, and given that you need to explain the issue when you make the booking it seems fairly harsh to double the fee for parts which are obvious yet cherry picked from more remote retailers whilst the clock is continually running in their favour. Standard tasks should be capped so they're incentivised to resource basic parts responsibly.....
I was quite worried about calling and using a company I had no experience with, but my experience was good the engineer Clinton was prompt, honest and diagnosed the problem very quickly. I had tried all basics to resolve the issue I had before I called them out to no avail and was very happy that the engineer did not try to stretch out the job, after explaining what I had done and tried he was able to diagnose the problem within the first 30 minutes. The thing I would advise the company is to make it more clear that the price they are quoting is less vat as I only knew when it was time to pay.
When I called the customer service book the time slot, I was told no waste time, work guarantee, bla...bla. When the plumer came to fix the boiler, firstly he asked for the manual book, so certainly he doesnt know how to fix it, and I dont have one, then he started search on the internet to diagonise the problem. He spent 40 min eventually 'fixed' the boiler but I have to pay 1 hour rate(including seraching internet and go and collect the tools). Thats not end, the boiler is broken again the next day and exactaly the same problem. I called the customer service a couple times, and they told me this is a temporary fix and no guarantee on the work, I need service on the boiler or get the same person come again but I need to pay again !!! Totally rubbish and poor service. I suspect where the other 5 ratings really comes from !
Job was done to a high professional standard...but as We Fix Now charge by every 30 mins and the electrician went just a few minutes over 30 minutes, I was charged for the full additional 30 minutes which is a bit harsh
My brother in law is a fully qualified electrician and he visited me 3 times trying to solve my electrical fault. Vinny came along from Wefixnow Ltd, never once stopped working whilst he was with us, run around like a man possessed, found the problem, fixed the problem and was gone in under 3 hours.
I am a landlord and asked for a visit to provide a quote for a shower to be replaced....... I was told this visit would cost £49 ( Not sure that I was told this did not include VAT ) The first visit was cancelled and after the second visit I contacted them to get the quote. I was told I needed to pay the £58.80incl. vat before I could be told the price of replacing the shower. I told them that I was not going to pay before I had the quote. They then suggested I could pay half but I was now beginning to worry about dealing with them. I finally ( after a second phone call ) managed to get a quote for £868.80 I was told that a replacement for my type was not readily available and the high price reflected the fact that a new cable needed to be run from the fuse-board below the bathroom and an RCD was needed. The old shower was a Mira Event, the new model Mira Event is identical apart from curved corners and even has the same hot and cold water connections. I spent 3 mins on the web and ordered one from Plumbworld costing me £243.00 delivered........... they had 14 in stock. The quote from WE FIX NOW did not mention what shower was going to be fitted and when I asked they could not tell me ! Power showers range in price from £95 to £250 or more. I have found a local plumber that is going to fit my new Mira Event and an RCD for £160.00 including VAT . This makes a total cost of £403.00 which is £465.80 LESS Do not be fooled by the promise of the initial 1/2 hour visit/quote being deducted from the total......... in my case they were not going to do this ! They did give me a revised quote to fit the Mira Event shower I had bought. They were happy to fit this for £456 after I offered to remove the old shower. The £58.80 quote charge needed to be added to this making a total of £514.80. I have payed the £58.80 because I suspect their debt recover is very similar to their treatment of customers.
I have been charged more than should be. 30 min for talk, 30 min for to get a staff (tools) and last 30 min for fixing the small thing all together to fix a simple lick £ 260. And plus they did not came on time!!! Job been done not so good!!!! Would not use them and would not recommend to anyone.... find others on the net... trust me will pay less and quality will be the better... I am sure they writing rest of the comments for themselves .....
My bath cracked so I had to get it replaced - The retailer that sold me a new one wouldn't come and install it. I was pretty desperate to get the new one installed so I called Wefixnow. Your engineer came at about 10:00 and stayed late, and had to come the next day to finish - a total of 13 hrs in all. It was very problematical getting the installation done because the bathroom is in a flat and is small, the original bath being slightly smaller than the standard size. This meant he had to cut into the wall to get the new bath in. The pipework needed to be redone as well. The job was clearly problematical but your engineer was clearly very experienced and did an excellent job, leaving me with a very securely fitted new bath.
The guy who called was very professional and was concerned over the end cost .He worked in a fast and efficient manner working to a high standard. I would welcome him back any time over his work. My only concern was the cost over £50 plus VAT a half hour. This is acceptable for a small short job but when it goes over a couple of hours it becomes very expensive to me my bill was a shade under £500. This is an area the company need to look into.
I was given 11am -1pm as my time slot. The electrician finally turned up at 4.15pm. I had been waiting in an empty flat with no electricity since 11am, so was not happy. I received a call from the office at 12.45pm asking me if I could change my timeslot to 2-4pm - I said no, but would wait after 1pm. I was called at 1pm and told he would be with me in 20 minutes and then made a number of calls when he failed to arrive being told he was on his way and then finally that he was stuck in traffic. The electrician also gave me the bad traffic story, but when he was working was called to give details of his previous job...arrival time 1.15pm...departure time 3.15pm...so he was not on his way to me at all! The electric work that needed doing was to test and make safe following water damage. He tested the circuit no problem, but was not keen to do any investigative work to identify the problem on one of the circuits - probably because by now it was dark and late. He reluctantly investigated further at my insistence. I believe he was a competent electrician but the actual overall service I received from Wefixnow Ltd was very poor.
From the staff who handle the calls to the plumber Clinton who came to replace the thermostatic valve on our shower I could not have asked for better a service. Everything was outlined clearly in terms of time and cost upfront, and Clinton was professional but also incredibly friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to book this company again for any future work.
