Great website, simple to place order and very prompt delivery.

I would give 5 stars if I had tried the whisky and found it to have been accurately described on the site. However as it is a gift and I haven't had the opportunity to test... yet! I feel confident the whisky will be well received!

OK if they could get the address right and my account in order

After deciding to use Whisky Online I wassurprised that minimal account details were forthcoming on my order. Subsequently I discovered(after chasing it myself) that they had sent my order to the wrong address) that their system was up to date, I had to chase it again. Seems they have a single contact/admin point who has to rectify all issues. This lady did do so eventually.....
Having said that the bottle did arrive safe and sound - but very late....Beware

Anthony was unable to access his account so he contacted us and this was rectified when he called,
When he called to say he had not received the parcel, we chased this up as a clerical error had been made and had a re-delivery.
Sometimes things aren't as smooth as we would like but we have a helpline prominently displayed on the website to quickly sort things out. Anthony did get his bottle safe and sound.

Great product, unsatisfactory delivery

An excellent product. However, it was NOT delivered on the day it was supposed to be (it was a day late). Consequently I missed the delivery as I was out at work.
The courier company used was not particularly helpful or accommodating as regards redelivery and in the end I had to schlepp miles to an industrial estate to pick up my parcel. Sending it via Royal Mail would have been much better as they are more flexible than cut-priced couriers and have more places to pick up from.

Once again, proof of the argument: COURIERS SUIT THE RETAILER BUT NOT THE CUSTOMER!

Kevin we apologise if the courier was not as helpful as they normally are but we do have a help line on our website to solve any delivery issues and solve them quickly. It certainly does not suit us if bottles are not delivered. We ask for feedback through Trust Pilot so that we can be aware of any problems that arise. The customer paid for a 48 hr delivery on Tuesday the 11th Dec. A delivery was attempted within 24hrs on the 12th and again attempted on 13th December (the day specified) and was carded by the courier as he wasn't in. If we had received a call on the helpline we may have been able to help more quickly.

I wanted a bottle of a specific Whiskey sent to a friend in Germany to celebrate a special birthday. I was treated in an efficient and friendly manner. Details were taken and I was given delivery information and told confirmation would be e-mailed to me.
1 hour later I received the e-mail and my friend received the bottle of whiskey and the requested date.
It is rare to find a company that do exactly as they promise but Whiskey Online do.
I would certainly order again and recommend them to friends.

Top whisky, top service.

I ordered 2 bottles of whisky, and 1 bottle of port very late on a Saturday night. As I live local I opted to collect these bottles. I received a phone call just after lunch on Sunday saying my order was ready and they would be open until 4pm that day. Went straight down, parked up outside the building and collected my order. Easy and straight forward.

I would definitely recommend whisky online and will be using them again. The customer service was excellent when I'd ask for a gift wrap but had put delivery and billing address as the same address, a very nice lady called to check the details were correct - which they weren't (my mistake) and she amended them to the correct delivery address. I found the decanter online after some effort as other suppliers were out of stock and i am so glad they were as Whisky Online have got to be the best company i have ever had the pleasure to deal with. Easy ordering, the product was in stock and delivery was fantastic, arriving well ahead of the estimated arrival date. Well done to them and if you want anything in the same line then Whisky Online are most highly recommended by me.

After a disastrous attempted delivery, you took on the couriers and sorted it out in no time. It is so refreshing to talk to real people who seem to care about their customers. It is a pity that the courier caused hassle which you had to sort. Never mind, I am delighted with the product and it did arrive within 48 hours.

Good range but non-branded bottles

I ordered a few miniatures from the site for a birthday present. They arrived very quickly and I had no problems with the ordering process. However, I was disappointed to discover on receiving my order that the bottles are not what I would consider proper 'miniatures' but are in fact just small bottles with a generic label stuck on. I'm trusting that the whisky is as stated, but it's not so nice to not have a branded bottle, particularly as they are to be a gift.

I think it should be made clear on the website that the small bottles are simply small samples, presumably taken from a larger bottle, rather than proper 'miniatures'.

Thank you for your comment, we have checked the way these samples have been listed on our site, and although some further clarification will be adjusted so customers are fully aware that these samples are drawn from the original bottles, it clearly does state sample, The concept in offering these samples is in most cases these are not available in the traditional 5cl bottles, so therefore gives the customer an opportunity to sample some fine whiskies that are not normally available, the main label is used to illustrate from which bottle the sample are drawn from.

Thanks to Wayne and family at Whisky online I have just added to my Port Ellen collection, I would recommend them to any whisky drinker or collector as I have contacted them on the phone in Blackpool as I am not always on line and they have been very friendly and helpfull, and they have recently set up a auction site so its a great way to sell some whisky aswell.
