I have had 3 wonga loans when things have been a bit tight and they have always been great. I would use them again, they have always taken the money back from my account on the right day and the correct amount. This said I have always paid it on day agreed and think the problem maybe if u extend it or don't pay then that's where it goes wrong
When things go right seems to work very well for people but when things go wrong thats a whole new story! I applied for Wonga to pay my BT bill for me as at the time it was cheaper to do a wonga loan than pay BTs charges!! Spent a month (yes a whole month) chasing up what had happened as BT had not received any money yet Wonga where saying they had paid it. When using the Pay My Bill section with Wonga it does not ask for any payment details or bank details of the company as it said they had them and just needed to make sure my customer account number was correct. Turns out Wonga had the wrong bank account details for BT and didn't know where this money had gone. They still wanted to charge me for the loan though! Even though it was there mistake and I had to pay BT another way. Wonga expected me to pay for something I had not had! Would avoid customer service was shocking!
basically i owe my mum rent and i only wanted to loan £50 out and i get paid this week so i can repay them then.. however it declined it so i was confused i kept ringing this number for help 08717038624 where i was put through to a women who put me on hold for 40 minutes until i hung up, i then rang it again it instead of putting me through to somebody it would just say 'hello thanks for calling, goodbye' and hang up. I am worried although ive not got a loan out with them, they now have my bank details and everything else.. and reading reviews i'm scared they will take money out of my account.. i rang up another service where a man said they can not cancel the accounts for 7 years?! please someone tell me will they take money from my account??!!!

I used Wonga to help with a short term cashflow problem last year and the application was very simple and I got the cash withing 15 minutes, it was fantastic, I then had to extend the loan up to the maximum of three times, I failed to repay on the promise date but that was my fault not Wonga's which I must say in all fairness, they got in contact with me about it but contrary to a lot of the headlines in papers they weren't heavy handed or anything like I feared they might be, they asked me to get in contact discuss ways of repaying, I contacted them via email and they set up what I think is a very reasonable and manageable repayment plan, so, on the whole, I can't complain, I have no criticism of them at all, I only regret not being able to make the promise date but as I say, this was a fault at my end not theirs.
Had a few loans with these guys and I suddenly lost my job. Got on the phone to them and they froze the interest straight away and set up a payment plant. Fantastic customer service
Just don`t do it !!! if You don`t have money for food - go and beg , if You don`t have money for bills - let them cut of Your services , if You don`t have money for petrol - walk!!! BUT NEVER EVER borrow money from this thieves !! ANY of them !!! Best analysts and lawyers in England already said that all of them should be banned straight away by law . They are not there to help . THEY WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE , YOUR RELATIONSHIP , YOUR CREDIT HISTORY AND ALL THAT OVER 300 QUID!!!! . If You are late one day - You are totally SCREWED. Borrow once and endless ring starts because when You repay all the money with interest You`ll be short again ( cause of this huge interest ) and You will borrow again . I know peoples , their lives are ruined because they borrowed money from that thieves . Don`t believe in any positive feedback . They pay their employees to post them . PS. NEVER never never please .

Please beaware of this company, they take money from peoples bank accounts even though they are not even customers! I had never even heard of Wonga.com until I saw that they had taken money from my bank, when I phoned them up to ask why they did this I was met by extremely rude and unhelpful staff! They have Never replied to any of the 7 emails I have sent them now trying to get to the bottom of this. I have therefore reported them to the financial ombudsman service as clearly Wonga.com can not be bothered to sort this out!

I am not a customer or Wonga.com and never will be. Yet they took a large sum of money from my bank account in August meaning me having to make 5 seperate phone calls to try and sort this out, each time I was greeted by a very rude and very unhelpful member of their staff. An investigation was supposed to of been launched to find out why this fraud had taken place yet after a week I had heard nothing from them so then decided to email them to which they did not reply. As I had heard nothing from my bank then I thought that this was all sorted until I came home from holiday on Sunday to find in my bank statment that Wonga.com had taken an even larger sum of money from my account at the begining of September!
Like I say I an NOT and NEVER will be a customer of this shody organisation.
Well I SENT YOU AN EMAIL ON THE 4TH OCTOBER AND STILL NO ONE HAS BOTHERED TO GET IN CONTACT.... YOU FRAUDULENTLY TAKE MONEY FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT TWICE AND THEN YOU CAN'T EVEN BE BOTHERED TO GET IN CONTACT WHEN i
I ASK. WONGA IS DEFINATELY A COMPANY NOT!!! TO BE TRUSTED.

Another brilliant payday loan company. Again, only use these companies if you have the means to pay back the next month otherwise it can become very expensive.
i have taken out about 3 loans with wonga. they have the option for you to extend the loan (with a one off payment which comes off of the total amount to pay back) if you cannot pay the loan back on time. also you can pay back on the loan WHENEVER you want (minimum £5) which means they are very flexible.. they do not charge for you to pay back early (of course).
I recently fell into arrears with wonga on my last loan by forgetting to extend the loan, after 2 days of my account being in arrears they contacted me via email to ask me wether I would like the interest frozen and to take 3 equal monthly payments to pay off the arrears (you can choose the dates when the money comes out). I still owe 2 monthly payments but true to their word the interest has frozen. I am very happy with their service and would definately recommend. The ONLY thing i would say with Wonga is their APR is EXTREMELY high.. but this is stated BEFORE you apply with them and that is your perogative.

A truely brilliant service. I was very sceptical when they said I would receive the money in 15 mins, but I actually did!
Well done Wonga!
I have always found wonga.com to be reliable and good for lifes little emergencies! A tip for customers, use the promo code vto419 to save yourself the £5.50 transfer fee! Worked for me!
Wonga are a terrible company and just as bad as all the others. I borrowed some money from them over a period of time and always paid back on time. The last occasion I borrowed from them, there was a problem with my bank account (through no fault of mine) and they were unable to collect all of their money in one go. When I realised this, I made payment separately - one day later than my due payment date and bear in mind that they had already collected most of it. They then proceeded to take more money out of my account (at least £100) over what I owed them. I wrote to them on various occasions asking for my money back. They refused to respond. I asked for a manager's name and they refused to respond. To date, despite many messages asking them to look into what happened to me, they will not respond, yet, I get messages telling me how great a company they are. THEY ARE NOT. Do not be fooled by these bunch of vultures. They can make mistakes, but woe betide you do.

They said they would get back to me within an hour, I found it hard to contact them, there AUTOMATED chat service disconnected me 3 times before telling me I had to wait and I cant see there names on any of the Trust Guard and copnsumer finance websites. Has anyone ever delt with them or have I given my bank details to cowboys. why is there no reviews of them online???
