If you have a problem, as we did on two of the three blinds we ordered, the so called Customer services just DO NOT WANT TO HELP. They offer no solutions, are not even particularly empathic or even particularly nice about it. They did not phone back as promised on two out of three occasions. Then when we came up with a solution, which would have coat them pennies to rectify the problem, they just point blank refused.
Our problem was that the blinds arrived, "Made to measure" as advertised, but not all pieces are cut to size. The valance for the top part of the blind to hide the workings was way too long. All they needed to do was to cut the pelmet to the right size, which they did on one of the Blinds delivered but refused to do this for the other two. This is a small thin price of wood, which would take no effort and very little money, to cut or replace but Customer Services (so wrongly named for these people!) refused. Not only only but that that but then said "so sue us". I wish we had read the reviews on this site first. We would not have ordered, Suggest you don't either, if it is not too late.
Bought a blind but was not aware it was 'made to order'. Site did not make this clear! You really have to read everything on the site to realise what's going on.
I did not realise that the measurements did not convert form cm to inches .called after receiveing them and advise that they could not take back as made to measure. NOWHERE IS THIS STATED WHEN ORDERED then they have the nerve to only offer you a 25% DISCOUNT ON NEW BLINDS, RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN AND TELL YOURS FRIENDS TO NEVER SHOP HERE.
I was a bit unsure to use this company based on some reviews, but overall I think the reviews averaged out so went for it. Glad I did, the blinds are amazing, easy to put up and look stunning and a great price too. we went for the "designer oak" and they look amazing, added so much to our living room.
The only reason they do not get 5 stars is their delivery, they used UKMail to deliver ours, and they are an abysmal company, lucky I had a sister that could collect them from their delivery depot otherwise I do not know how I would have got my blinds.
If they sort out their delivery service I think they will get a lot more good reviews!
Ordered some made to measure blinds and received TNT courier notice with 'neighbour'' address they had delivered the item to, because I was not in to receive them. I had no idea who this 'neighbour' was, who 'kindly' signed on my behalf and so I went round to his house, two doors away, to retrieve the blinds - assuming at first I would not be met with any problems. I visited weekday daytime, weekday evening, next day morning and evening too and now weekend and can see that his car has come and gone during the time (he is not bedridden and unable to answer the door). Another householder answered the door the first day I visited, and she let me through to the hallway area enabling me to slip a letter under his own ground floor flat door just in front of the house front door (and half poking out the bottom of the flat door too, so I could see if he'd taken and likely read it from outside front door peering through the glass, should I return later on. That's becuase he was not answering the bell (despite his car being in the driveway according to this woman). He has taken the note and has since made no attempt to answer the door, honour any request in the letter or to respond to the note in any shape or form, despite receiving it. Now it looks like theft: he is avoiding me on purpose. The infuriating thing is that TNT had not got his signature of receipt of my item either - they just wrote down his name on the slip in their own handwriting - so it seems based on the rest of the information on the slip in the same writing. Now the police are claiming that he might not have taken the item at all, merely given TNT his name after refusing to accept the item in the first place, making TNT the ultimate recipients of the item potentially with no chance of proving theft at all. This might explain why he won't answer the door - he does not have anything of mine. Furthermore, this could all be a scam between TNT and WB to return 'undelivered' items under the guise of neighbourly disputes over receipts of blinds and the customer still bears the cost claiming they received the item from the neighbour. Disguisting. I will never use this company again because the courier service has made it impossible for me to get my item in the first place and I have insufficient proof that the neighbour has, in fact, stolen the item too when it could be TNT who'd used the neighbour's name to justify they had claimed reciept of an item when they had not and then they took the blinds away themselves and probably parcelled them back to WB for re-sale onto the next mug who orders the same blinds with similar dimensions to mine to another customer, whilst I still lose my money on the sale of the item altogether. My advice: never buy any item that uses a courier service that insists, against the customer's own will, to leave parcels with 'neighbours' you have not sanctioned or agreed in advance to receive them and certainly not when the neighbour has not signed for the parcel in their own handwriting to prove receipt of the item. I am so cross with this matter now I have simply lost faith in the company entirely and will be demanding a refund immediately.
Extremely poor service. Cannot believe they are actually a company who take money from innocent people. We ordered wooden blinds and they sent the incorrect measurements. It took 1 week for them to collect and another week to deliver the correct measurement. We said it was okay and gave another chance. They sent us incorrect measurements for the second time for some vertical blinds and when we called them they did not believe us and asked us for photos and we dealt with very rude customer services who did not bother to call us back. They collected them again and one week later they sent us another incorrect blind. When we called their customer services they were vulgarly rude. Very frustrating at how they can rip people off. DO NOT buy from direct blinds. Pleases believe us.
I ordered two sets of blinds for my front window and all was fine with them. I decided I would order some more for my bathroom OMG what a big mistake! Ordered online and used the inch to cm conversion chart....44.5 inch width by 40 inch drop! The conversion didnt happen and I was sent 44.5cm by 40cm bearly big enough to cover a dolls house window! When I called them up I could not believe how I was treated the two ladies I spoke to if you could call them that where so rude I was amazed. Point blank refused that it could be an error on there part at all even though I explained I had not two weeks earlier done the same and those blinds where fine! In the end offered me very reluctantly 25% discount if I ordered the correct size but no way would I get a refund of my 45.00. I was forced to order another set by this which cost almost 80.00 only for them to send them and these ones be too long...these of course couldn't be change by ourselves as they had tapes with them. When I called up to complain I was told to take a photo and prove they where too big why I would be ringing if they weren't I have no idea. I asked for compensation for their error as they had had 75% of my money for the first set they claimed was my error and again was told we won't be compensating you. Just seems a little one sided where this company is concerned and if I was you I would avoid it at all costs!!!!!!! They always right and the customer always wrong think they make have this the wrong way round to succeed in this world!
I ordered as per the site instructions and they arrived without fuss and quickly. I fitted them in about half an hour on my own and they look just great. I had wooden in white which dont give the impression that its any darker in the room and let the light through. The product is well made and works well. A good purchase that i am very pleased with.
Superb company. The website is very clear and informative, very easy to follow. Blinds were perfect, great quality, easy to put up, measurements were exact, and the price was excellent, all of this and super fast delivery as well. I will definitely use again!!
I have used this company quite a few times and find their whole service excellent. In my opinion the website is totally clear if you read it properly. There is a lot of choice, the prices are very reasonable and the delivery was exceptional. Not sure why anyone would disagree from the experience I have had.

Colours on site are very dodgy so get a sample. Bought blind - ugh! Much darker than on site - Alabaster looked like a creamy stone colour but really it's beige, the kind you get in a cheap office - yeuch! They call it light mushroom - they should call it beige mushroom. Their mantra is 'you should have ordered a sample'. Lost over £60 because the returns policy is only for standard sizes, but it's not clear that 99% of the site is made to measure - No mention on invoice that I had bought made-to-measure. Quality good, delivered on time, but 'jobsworth' customer service. Don't buy from this site unless you check literally every link. Only buy from them if you're really experienced at using their site, or if you just happen to get lucky. BIG WARNING - Do the following: get a sample first, remember literally everything is made to order, don't trust the colours on the site. I won't buy from them again.
As previously stated by other reviewers, I was a little dubious about ordering from this company due to some poor reviews, however I decided to take the plunge and am so glad I did. The blinds arrived, were easy to fit and look fantastic, I am very pleased with the quality and they look every bit as good as other expensive companies. I will certainly be ordering some more!
I purchased one wooden blind for my daughters bedroom to check the quality, as they were made to measure and the price was so good.. I received it within 5 days and was very pleased with the style, quality and fit . I ordered the white wooden 5mm depth. My window was 115cm, so ordered a 114cm wide blind. The fit was perfect and looked stylish the best part was that it was so easy to put up.
I have since ordered another 4 and they service, style quality and fit was exactly the same as the original one.
As long as you measure correctly, you can't go wrong .....
After reading the reviews of this company I was not sure whether to order because the feedback ranged from very good to very poor. I gauged that the key was not to make any mistakes and make sure my sizes were perfectly correct and that I was not going to change my mind about shade, colour etc. These blinds were at least 30% cheaper than the same quality anywhere else and money matters a lot at the moment, so I bit the bullet. Delivery was within 5 days, and the blind is what I hoped and expected it would be. Looks great. *****
Received the wooden Venetian blinds last week they were for my daughter's bedroom. Absolutely thrilled with the quality and fit I am now going to order the same for my bedroom. Excellent value for money!
Ordered online - very straightforward. Half an hour later, realised I had ordered wrong colour (my mistake). Phoned them to explain / apologise and they very helpfully said they'd send me some colour samples and put my order on hold. Samples received - chose colour - phoned them asking them to go ahead with newly chosen colour. They confirmed new colour as we spoke. Blinds promptly delivered - the original light colour rather than the chosen dark colour. (I haven't taken them out of the box yet to inspect for quality, etc.) Phoned them to be told "The note I've got just says to 'go ahead'". They stubbornly refused to discuss it further. I am in no doubt that we agreed the new colour. Have online businesses lost all sense of decent values? My advice: go to your local shop where you can speak to a person. Ahh well ..... here goes a long drawn out battle via the Visa Debit card disputed purchase scheme!
I ordered 7 blinds last weekend, with a little worry after reading reviews on here, so made sure delivery was accepted 'Unchecked' as they advise, and even hung them as soon as possible, as any faults must be notified in 3 days, which does seem a little soon. However, on the Thursday after ordering I received an email confirming despatch, they arrived on the Friday. Brilliant - exactly what I ordered (its not difficult just put in size, after reading the measuring guide) the quality & price are amazing, they even come with the pelmets, which alot of places charge you extra. I would recommend them & not hesitate in re-ordering more. Keep up the good work
Arrived on time, got my husband to help me install them but cord cut too short on one side so wont lie properly on window sill, havent the time to take down, repackage, post office etc etc so have put up with it. beware not too easy to pull up and down but that mabe because of short cord.
We ordered a blind from wooden-blinds-direct.co.uk over a week ago and at the time, we were very surprised by the low price; for a mere 68 pounds, we ordered a made-to-measure (over 2 metres long) natural wooden blind (when all other websites were saying that we couldn't have one that long) and the price INCLUDED delivery! So we were very skeptical of how good the quality was going to be...Two days ago I got an email saying our blind had been despatched, the very next day I received the delivery...and we are genuinely really shocked at how good the product is!! It looks lovely and works beautifully, was easy to put up and is such good value that I've just gone back to the website and ordered another two blinds for our hallway (total sum of which was only 54 pounds and again, included delivery!!) Unbelievable. Definitely recommend this company 100%.
