I buy knitwear from Woolovers because I can't wear wool! They have a good range of jumpers and cardigans in a wool and silk blend and I have quite a collection now, good colours, mostly plain but some spots and stripes too, and all machine washable. It would be great if there were more heavy quality garments in cotton - most of the thicker jumpers etc are in wool, and also I find the care labels are very irritating to my skin and I have to cut them all out. I also find that I have to check the measurements quite carefully as I need different sizes in different styles.
Placed my first order (a large one) and was delighted with all the knitwear. The colours were just as expected from the website and the method of measuring an existing garment to ensure a good fit worked perfectly. I think it is the first time I haven't needed to return a single item! As to the quality of the product: I asked my husband to measure his favourite jumper and he chose a very old, well worn guernsey that my parents bought him about 10 years ago. Only on measuring it did we discover that it too was from Woolovers! Still looks good as new. Can't recommend this company highly enough.
Reasonably prompt service. Bought two long length wool cardigans in contrasting colours after buying a silk/cotton mix version which is superb and has been much admired. Slightly disappointed with these two - as is said elsewhere, the qool quality could be improved (would rather pay a little more for a softer feel). Colours are fine though not very exciting and will definitely replace buttons for a better look. That said, these are highly serviceable additions to my wardrobe and at a fair price.
Some of the knits are just fantastic but I find the colour choice whilst wide not to my taste at all. I also find some of the sizing a bit irregular so have had to change garments for that reason and found the returns service rather slow compared to other mail order companies; I will keep coming back as some jumpers are just fantastic.
Well, I've been a customer of Wool Overs for several years now, and the (mens) sweaters/vests I wear are almost exclusively from Wool Overs. This kind of shows that I am very content with the quality of garments. And of course, given that I am a student, the prices are indeed very agreeable for the quality you get.
However, as much as the product itself is important, customer service plays an essential role in the choice of a brand name. And to this end, I am very very happy about the service I get from Wool Overs team. Once, I even had a voucher applied after a purchase has been made and dispatched—I forgot that I had a voucher and as soon as I recalled it, I contacted the team and as a gesture of good will had the appropriate amount refunded. Imagine that!
I am delighted with my purchase of two v neck jumpers for the summer. Lovely colours, a delight to wear and delivery and price were as good as you get. A high quality company with high quality goods at sensible prices.
This was a very good find on the internet. I love all the shades, people have complimented me on the colours and style of knitwear. I would suggest that the Company consider making some larger sizes. I am a size 18 and fit the XL perfectly, but there are a lot of larger ladies out there who I am sure would be very happy to purchase items if this were possible.
There's a huge range of styles. I just decided what style and colour I wanted and there was one available in the Wool Over range. Also found a second in a colour I liked but hadn't thought of looking for.
Brilliant website, encourages one to buy. My first purchase from this company, a lambswool cardigan, I have returned for a smaller size. The initial delivery was in the quickest time possible but yesterday I phoned Wool Overs because the replacement is such a long time arriving I wondered if it had actually been received. I was told that there is more than a week delay in dealing with returns. I hope this implies a lack of staff rather than too many returns. The fabric of the cardigan seemed stiff and harsh and I'm hoping a wash will improve this.
A few days ago I received my best jumper from Woolovers. I ordered blueberry jumper (Polo Neck Jumper (L3)). On my mind Pure Lambswool is the best material, if it is your first purchase. The dense fabric fits well your figure. It is very warm and is ideal for winter or autumn. Thank you for your job!
I have been buying all my jumpers from Wool Overs for many years now. I find their range, quality and price to be second to none and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend buying from the company. It is always a gamble buying a garment online without being able to try it on, but Wool Overs' sizing guide is very accurate and no matter what the style they always advise you if the jumper comes up big or small. This time I bought 2 crew-neck lambs wool jumpers for myself. This is a unisex style and I was warned that the jumper might come up large so, being a female size 10, I went for an XS and they fitted very well, although I feel an S would have given me a bit more length. The quality of the wool is excellent and they wash perfectly in the machine. The colours of the garments are quite true to the photographs on the website, perhaps a little more vibrant than I expected but lovely anyway. I can honestly say that I have only ever been disappointed once by a jumper from Wool Overs- this was a cotton/silk mix granddad style jumper with a buttoned neck and after one wash the placket cockled up badly and wouldn't lie flat. But their wool jumpers are second to none- all my family think so as well.
You know how from time to time you stumble across a firm that really delivers on the online shopping experience? Well, Woolovers is one of those rare gems!
It started about three years ago when I was an ex-pat. My family in the UK sent me some Woolovers sweaters as birthday and Christmas gifts. They were simply superb quality, and oh-so-comfy! Absolutely everything in the range is made from natural fibres to a very high standard. I now order on my own behalf, and have already recommended friends from as far apart as Cumbria to Dunedin to do the same. One thing we all agree on: Woolovers rocks!!
My own latest purchase was a couple of pretty silk and cotton ballet-wrap cardigans for Summer. They were ordered during one of Woolovers frequent 'free postage' deals, so I expected to wait at least a week for delivery. But guess what? They arrived, well-packed as always within 72 hours of placing the order. How good is that? These guys are truly trustworthy and deliver quality goods at exceptional prices - what more can one ask? Highly recommended!!
I ordered an Aron cardigan for my holidays and was pleased that I found what I was looking for on Wool Lovers site.........but upon receipt of the cardigan I was very disappointed with the wool.........it did not feel or look like real aron wool, it felt more like a man made fibre, not wanting to quote exactly what the make up of the cardigan actually was......So I returned it straight away for a full refund.... Very Disapointed Customer
I ordered three jumpers for myself which arrived promptly and did not disappoint. The sizing guide was perfectly accurate so no need for tiresome returns. I haven't washed any of the items yet so can't comment on that aspect but I'm very pleased with them so far and intend ordering more things!
