BLANK in YORKSHIRE
I have been with Yorkshire bank for over 30 years and it's been a gradual decline since I first joined. They used to be something different but now , theyre just like all the rest . JUST A BANK. out for themselves. All banks are businesses and need to make a profit and I understand that. Customer service center are abrupt , rude and don't properly investigate complaints. They wrote to me after I wrote to them to ask me a few questions about my complaint I replied 5 days later but by then they said as I hadn't replied sooner they had found against me ! ........mmm thanks for a customer friendly service.
Over last few months they have NOT given me 'best advice ' to the tune that it cost me over £60 , after complaining in the branch I managed to get some of their charges reduced but was still left out-of-pocket because of something THEY failed to tell me. Good practice .... NO !

Have been treated apallingly
After being a customer for nearly 30 years i have had it with Yorkshire Bank. I have held a mortgage, current account and credit card and have never missed a payment. When i was recently made redundant they refused to provide a short payment holiday on the mortgage, despite the fact that i had already found another more highly paid job.
Also, after making a claim on the associated gadget insurance with my 'Signature' current account discovered that it is absolutely useless. When i disputed it YB refused to intervene and asked me to complain direct to the insurance company, who have treated me appallingly.
In just 4 words AVOID AT ALL COSTS. If they treat customers of 30 years standing in this way what chance is there.

A poor bank
poor internet banking taking a few days to have transactions listed in your on-line balance. No free internet security software and customer service does not exist. Plus high charges would not recommend.
