I wanted an online shop set up for my university society to order hoodies. I also wanted to make it complicated by allowing the option of several logo designs on several different items. They did this for me at no charge. The quality of the items are great, they really went out of their way to make sure I got what I wanted. Couldn't be happier!
Basically I decided I wanted to do something different for my mum this Mother's Day. I came across the Your Design site after searching personalised gifts on Google.
Straight away I was really impressed with the huge range of gift ideas and products for personalisation. After struggling to decide what to purchase, I settled on a hoodie and mug with my mum's name and 'I love you' printed on.
I even got the option for different types of printing for the hoodie which I was impressed with and could change the colours etc on screen to help me visualise what it would look like.
It cost me £30 and with that I got free delivery, so I was more than happy. The parcel arrived with 2 days as promised, and I still have lots of time to put my feet up before the big day.
I will definitely be looking to go back to Your Design, particularly for baby momentos, and other gifts for birthdays and Christmas, and maybe even myself.
I found Your Design very easy on the net. I called them as I had an idea, but am awful at drawing. They told me this is something they don't usually do...but they went out of there way to make it possible for me.
I talked through my ideas with the deisgner...he showed me a couple of ideas....and done. Received my jumper today....very very pleased.

I ordered from this company on 14th December 2010. I write on the 27th and still I have received nothing. I emailed them on the 26th and received the follwing reply : Thank you for your email. This is an auto responder email. YOUR EMAIL WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DELETED. I am sorry we are now closed. I really wish i had read these reviews - as the ones that say "poor customer service" etc are very true. They initially told me (when I enquired about where my goods where , on the 23rd) to check with the local post office - however the local post office have delivered other items that were ordered on the 18th December, so the issue is not a backlog there. It is apparent that this shambles of a business SIMPLY DO NOT CARE. My advice is to use a different company - there are many to choose from.
I'll start by saying im not in the habit of writing reviews but I just felt in this day and age companies that go that extra mile should be given a big pat on the back.
It was my nannas 80th Birthday and we decided to look for a company that could put a very old picture of her on a mug. Found Your Design and ordered a porcelain mug. Later that afternoon a lovely lady phoned me from the company to suggest my picture would look nice on both sides of the mug (great!) and if I liked one of the design team could make my very old damaged picture better by taking out lines and generally brighten it up. I was thrilled. Well never was I more suprised than the next day the postman brought my mug! And I absolutely loved it and got a quote from them for 60 so we could suprise my nanna by all having them - they were unbelievably cheap and they could get them done within the week for me! They went down a storm with the guests and mores the point it made a very old lady very happy.
Great products and genuinely lovely customer service - thank you Your Design. I hope others will read my review and shop there too - I will certainly be going back there!
I ordered a hoodie with a charity badge.
The design produced is unreadable, fuzzy and with a tatty edge, meaning that the hoodie is unwearable. This was going to be used to do street collections for a small charity.
Yourdesign.co.uk blamed the poor image I submitted and even though they knew it was poor quality (I didn't by the way!) they printed it anyway. Wouldn't you expect a reputable company to call the customer to give them the option to review the order?
They offered to rectify it at a further £9, but as we are a charity we can't just throw money away.
Customer service was very defensive, and it was clear from the first email that they weren't going to take any responsibility for producing a poor quality item.
I had to return it to them to look at (further cost to me as they weren't even prepared to cover postage)
There are lots of printing companies out there,so I'd recommend you avoid this one!
I ordered a gift from this company to be delivered next day as it was for a birthday present - I paid extra for this service. I stayed in all day and rearranged an important appointment in order to receive this. It did not arrive that day. I contacted them by e-mail as requested and they did not reply to me that day. I contacted the delivery company who informed me that it would be not be delivered until the day after the day I paid extra for it to be delivered on. They told me it was Yourdesign's responsibility. I then phoned Yourdesign and was contacted by an extremely rude and confrontational woman who claimed it was the delivery company's fault!!!! I think they need to liaise with each other!!! She had sent a reply to my e-mail to the person who the gift was for, therefore ruining the surprise. She claimed it was the only e-mail she had for me, however I specified an e-mail that I was to be contacted by when I ordered the gift and they sent the confirmation to that e-mail address! Laughable. She also claimed that they do not usually refund the next day delivery charge if it is not delivered on that day - what??!!! So it's the customer who loses out if they cannot provide the service they have accepted payment for. This also implies that it has happened on more than one occasion. Totally unacceptable.
I think Yourdesign need to train their staff in the art of customer service and good old-fashioned manners. It was supposed to be a present from my newborn baby to her dad - needless to say I won't be using this company again but the woman I spoke to didn't seem to care about this. Hopefully, other people will read this and not use this company. I am now staying in yet again to receive this item - another day wasted and more plans rearranged. Very difficult to do when you have a newborn baby.
