I found the shoes I was going to buy elsewhere for cheaper on zolando. Thinking this was an excellent piece of luck I duly bought the shoes and waited.
After a week I got an email informing me they were delayed. Annoying but not the end of the world.
Then I waited.
Today I got an email saying the order was cancelled. No reason given. No alternative suggested. The shoes are now no longer available because zolando failed to get back to me. Well done - if they had told me straight away that they couldn't fulfil my order I would have gone to a competent company but as they did not they are now permanently sold out everywhere. I wouldn't touch this joke of a company with a barge pole.
So far so good. Ordered a bag on the Sunday, arrived Wednesday. Bag was not exactly what I was looking for so I arranged a return and ordered a different one. Spoke to a telephonist who talked me through the return process. She was based in the UK and incredibly kind and helpful. Again, the prices are cheaper than the UK and if you look around, you can find discountcodes. I cannot fault them at this stage.
Looked on the review sites and Zalando has a lot of criticism. I had found a good deal on a pair of running shoes and they were not available elsewhere so I decided to take a punt. Placed order Wednesday evening, online tracking via Hermes worked a treat, shoes arrived Monday morning. What more can you ask for, will use again.
Still waiting for item after three weeks. Had to cancel it since it seemed like it would never come and had gone past the point at which it would come. The coat I ordered is now not available anywhere else and therefore I have been completely screwed over by Zalando. Horrendous customer service and no real compensation offered except a dismal 20% discount which is useless since I will not be using this service again. I will be taking this matter further and lodging an official complaint but would like to warn others from using Zalando.
Made an order on 17th and 18th December. Have been given three delivery dates by delivery company Hermes, have waited in on each occasion all day and they still have not arrived, I am at 1st January. Have telephone Zalando and each time they assured me the delivery will arrive on each occasion. One of the parcels is now showing returned to Hub? Not a good service for a first time customer.
I placed my order on Friday 20th Dec 2013 and after speaking to the customer service team i didn't hold out much hope of delivery before Christmas. After explaining on an email this was a Christmas present the item was delivered on Monday 23rd Dec 2013. I was really impressed with this and am very grateful for the fast delivery.
This site is a joke, not only they don't answer the phone they don't even respond to emails, i made the mistake ordering my Christmas gifts from them and i ended up going empty handed since i have waited over a week for my order to arrive, the reason i'm angry tho is that they didn't even responded to my emails with a straight answer or an apology for not been able to deliver, shame on you. PS. Thats why amazon rules
I purchased a pair of Frye boots via Zalando after being unable to find any other UK retailer which sold them. I searched high and low for these, for *ages*. Upon arrival of the package, I find that Zalando have sent me the incorrect size?! I then find that the particular size I ordered was now sold out. Great. I contact customer services via the email which they provided. Still no response. Super disappointed and absolutely unimpressed.
Thanks so much Zalando. I would be a little more understanding if I were not now aware that this seems to be standard modus operandi. Really, how difficult can it be to send customers the item that they paid for!?
Two stars instead of one as the dispatch and delivery was prompt, box decently packaged, and item in great condition - shame it was the WRONG SIZE!!
I placed an order with this company for 6 items, and got an order confirmation. A few days later, I got a shipping confirmation with a tracking number. I checked the status several times over the next two weeks, but the order always showed as in transit. When I asked the company for an update, I got a response saying the order had been cancelled due to 'technical' reasons. They refunded the total 3 days later. Overall, the process took a month. This was followed a couple of days later with advertising emails encouraging me to buy again. I never managed to buy from them the first time, so it's a bit rich for them to encourage me to buy again!
My sister-in-law and I ordered from Zalando recently, and we are extremely disappointed and frustrated with their service. We ordered two pairs of boots, however we have only received one. We have contacted Zalando a dozen times, and they have not responded to a single email! We feel as though we have been scammed!
I placed my first order for an 'in stock' item online on 03 Oct. On 07 Oct received email to say there was a delay in the parcel leaving the warehouse. On 10 Oct I called the service desk - which takes forever to connect as the 0800 number is redirected to BERLIN. They confirmed that the order was picked and packed and was being shipped from BERLIN. On 11 Oct i received an email to confirm cancellation of my order as they were 'unable to fulfil your order". One hour later I received a further email to say: "We have some good news for you! The item you requested is back in stock and can now be purchased on Zalando.co.uk". They had also offered a 10% discount. On 11 Oct I called their service desk [long wait again as it transferred to BERLIN.] There service rep agreed with all the details of the history but could not explain why there was a delay or a cancellation, and in response to a question 'am I the only one to have problems?' assured me that I was. He confirmed that the cancellation had generated the 'back in stock' email as it was referencing my cancelled item!! Given this history, I have no trust in their returns policy should the item, which was a present, not fit, therefore I have chosen not to do business with Zalando. You should make your own assessment and decision accordingly.
First time I have used Zalando and I am really impressed with their sales and return service, which is the good news. Bad news is, although I loved the shoes I ordered they weren't a good fit, so I had to return them, but the good news is I have never encountered such an efficient and simple returns service .. just took them up the road to my local garage .. no postal charges .. done! Will certainly use them again.
I was attracted by the £5 voucher which is available once you sign up for an infrequent e-mail newsletter. I ordered two t-shirts and I was impressed by the free delivery/free returns policy. The t-shirts were ordered late Thursday and arrived early Monday - not bad for free delivery service! The courier, Yodel, was excellent too, even though I had previous negative experiences. The tracking offered, which often enough is not available with free delivery, was accurate and easy. I was notified in advance, when my parcel would arrive. The order was neatly packaged, even including air-cushionings, which were not really needed. (all that for free P&P!!). Finally, Zalando was kind enough to include a £10 voucher in my order, which I definitely intend to use soon! The only setback was that one of my t-shirt's colour-scheme was not quite as displayed on the website, but I was not upset at all as it even looked better than expected.
