Zero communication, no delivery, premium rate helpline kept cutting out.

I wrote this letter to Zavvi explaining the problem but their messages are limited to 1000 characters so I'll have to vent here! Incidently Love Film purchases are also managed through Zavvi.

Hi Zavvi. I placed an order for this laptop on the 21st and expected it to be dispatched within 24 hours as stated. I chose Zavvi from a number of sites offering the product as it was one of 3 with the lowest price. I have never shopped with Zavvi before. The product was not dispatched within 24 hours so I sent a message regarding changing the delivery address but this was not responded to within 24 hours as stated. I then called your customer service helpline, the message to creditors isn't particularly inspiring and your phone system hung up on me twice mid-call, the first time one of your staff called me back, the second and last time they didn't. Apparently there was a security check which needed to be performed on my card (simply asking for the last 4 digits of the card, not even the security number) and no one called me to do this. When I said I needed to change the delivery address I was told I would have to cancel and re-place the order. I have requested an order cancellation both on this site and by phone but your systems do not allow instant confirmation of this. I have placed the order with a competitor and will not be trading with Zavvi in future. I have no faith that your systems will correctly work in cancelling my order so am sending this message in the unfounded hope that someone will actually follow up on it and ensure that it is cancelled. You have managed to take the convenience out of online shopping for me on this occasion, I will not be shopping with you again.

Lidt ventetid, men god service

Har handlet via Zavvi i London et par gange, også i deres butikker. De har et stort lager af varer, selv (for mit vedkommende vigtigt) specielle CD'er og musik DVD'er. En enkelt af mine varer var forsinket, dog blev jeg rigeligt informeret og fik undskyldninger op over begge ører. Rart at handle der, og gør det klart igen!

Incredibly poor pre-order service

I pre-ordered a game with Zavvi and was told that it would be with me on the day of release. However, with it now being the weekend I have still not received my order and I will get my game a minimum of 3 days after the release date. As another reviewer said, HMV, Play, GamePlay et al despatch pre-orders in time for release, so why not Zavvi? Completely unacceptable.

Very poor delivery, shop elsewhere

The game game was supposed to be on general release on Friday 21st, so I had it in pre-order. Had an email saying it had been dispatched on Tuesday 18th, yet still to receive it on Saturday 22nd. Amazon, Play, Game, Shop.to and other websites managed to get the game out on release day, so why can't Zavvi?

I am from Denmark and waited 15 days for my package, and had to pay the same customs as I paid for the package. Not a place I want to shop again.

Zavvi doesn't deliver

Don't order. The price may look competitive but your item isn't really in stock. You'll never see it. Your order will remain "Awaiting stock pick" until you eventually give up and cancel. I waited a whole month for a game to be picked from stock, and it wasn't a particularly rare game either. Alas this site seems to take quiet pleasure in wasting your time for reasons that are beyond my comprehension.

very bad customer services spoke to a manager she was very rude ,if item is under £50 and you need to return it,it cant be collected from home,no way i could get to post office with the size of the item i had.manager say to me was there a crackling on the phone couldnt you hear me.

STAY AWAY

STAY AWAY. i an still waiting for a christmas gift ordered from these crooks. they sent the wrong one and so i sent them a message. they never replyied so i called on their premium rate number. they arranged a replacement and a mounth later i still have not recived it.

Incidental my sister also ordered a game from them less than a week after me on a completely separate account and she still hasnt recived anything from them. It was too cheap to waste money calling them and they dont reply to emails, so money stolen.

I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN. I have never come across such cowboys, over many years i have ordered off many different unknown websites and never had a problem, bar slowish delivery, with any of them. Seriously these guys are terrible.

What can i do? Cant take them to small claims court as fee is over double the game!! Ill tell you what i will do. i will leave as many bad reviews as possible to stop this from happening to YOU.

Poor customer service

Ordered game for my son as xmas present on 15th Dec ......... not arrived. Emailed five times, no response. Tried phoning customer services but gave up after 45 minutes. Very disappointing service and very disappointed son.

Customer service doesnt mean anything to zavvi.com

I ordered 3 xbox 360 games for my kids on 29-Nov 2009 in plenty of time for Christmas I thought, Still waiting for 2 of them to turn up now 17-Dec,
E-mailed them 2-3 times got response once about the 10-working days line, Anyhow its well beyond 10 days so i phoned up on monday and wednesday took me over an hour to get through and cost me £8 on a mobile and was told by the call centre supervisor that she would send me out some fast track forms that i had to fill in to get these items in time for Christmas.
Well i am still waiting for the forms never mind the items i paid for a month in advance, there is nothing i can do, i am at the hands of zavvi.com who dont seem to understand what customer service is or care never mind any Christmas spirit.
Anybody considering zavvi.com dont bother cause if your order goes wrong you will find yourself at the hands of an un-caring money grabbing machine and the money you thought you saved will be chewed up trying to get some Customer Service which doesnt exist within zavvi.com.

can't deliver, can't be bothered to let you know

Ordered blu ray player on 1 Dec for xmas delivery - listing said 3-5 days but this changed to 7 days. 9 days later I queried as website still said "awaiting stock pick". After I sent 4 messages, I finally got a reply saying delivery would be next week. Then they changed their minds and sent a message saying it was out of stock and my order was cancelled. Why it took 2 weeks to find out they didn't have any in stock I don't know, they shouldn't have accepted my order in the first place. Stay away or risk being disappointed.

RIP OFF

I pre ordered a blu ray disc at £17.95, I checked my account the day after release, the item had still not been dispatched but worse still, the price advertised was now £15.95. I attempted to cancel the order sending a message with my reaason but less than an hour later i got a message to say that it was not possible to cancel as the order had been "prepared for dispatch" and I would have to wait to receive the goods before returning for a refund, to reorder at the new price...duh.
Ridiculous policy and very flippant couldn't care less return messages

Completetly rubbish - Avoid at all costs!

I ordered a simple, everyday XBox controller from them well over 2months ago and they still refuse to give me an expected delivery date.
Their customer service is rubbish and less than helpful to say the least andall that they have been able to do is tell me that the item is rare and is on special order - despite the fact that you can go into any highstreet shop and there are 100's on the shelves!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Do Not Use Them

Their prices are generally pennies different from Amazon but they take weeks to post things, if they ever get around to it. Ordered DVD's and had to wait 3 weeks to get them. Same items on Amazon were 3 pence more each. I just made a new order with Amazon for 4 Blu rays that are 3 pence more than Zavvi but I got them the next day (turned from my first experience.

JUST DON'T BOTHER USING THEM

Long wait time bad customer service

Very long wait time for shipped items. No track and trace. Wanted to order a games console, which they then asked me to send them information for credit card details and proof thereof. Three days after they received that, they told me they do not ship "electrical" items outside uk. Had some other orders which i cancelled early but they shipped them anyway. First and last time experience.

Worst customer service

Tried to buy a couple of copies of Nightwatch & Daywatch on blu ray. Waited a week, then got an email saying I wasn't allowed to buy more than one. Crazy, thought we were in a recession!

Zavvi - disgraceful returns policy

Total rip-off. Their returns/refund policy is very poor, i.e. none existent for games console - you cannot return a games console even if it was brought a few hours ago.
