Promised delivery before christmass, defected on delivery date and refused to offer compensation or accept blame then lied in an e mail about ever garenteeing delivery before christmass at all. Do not answer querys properly asif they did not even speak the language of the question, instead sending generic copy and paste replies. worst online retailer EVER!
A friend recommended Zavvi not too long ago; and as a result I've bought most of my digital media from you guys since! Prices are usually the cheapest, and I really like the exclusive steelbook editions for DVDs and Blu-Rays. Also items arrive at least within the specified delivery time, usually nearer the shorter date.
recently purchased items from Zavvi which were later cancelled due to "pricing errors" then told I could buy them at full price. done some research and they seem to do this a lot. later found out that price was honoured to certain customers who placed orders after mine. brought this up with them to be told it was under investigation and I was owed nothing, seems their equality policy is top rate...on top of this they are allegedly threatening customers with legal action over yet another "error". don't get me wrong the prices are great and when it works its a great deal but I think some of their practices and ethics are just plain wrong if not possibly illegal.

Speedy and efficient service as always. No hassle whatsoever and really good value for money. Especially with a nice 10% off voucher. Good website and they have some really good deals, always worth a look at zavvi before anywhere else!

I bought half my christmas Christmas presents from zavvi. They have a very good range and are very well priced. The delivery is amazingly quick and postage is free. Shopping on zavvi is quick and simple. One of the best on the market.
Since i made the big mistake of becoming their customer I made two orders. The first sent to me was faulty and the second was the wrong item (same thing seems to happen far too often according to other people's reviews!). I then promptly email them as unfortunately no telephone number to call and they quickly sent me a pre-paid collect + label. I then took the parcel to my nearest collect+ shop and it was delivered back to their warehouse on the 27th of November. It took several email and a good 3/4 days for Zavvi to finally confirm to me that the item was received back and guess what .....they couldn't send the right item because they are now out of stock!! So it took an unbelievable 15 days to know that I would never get it!!
On a very different note I ordered the same tablet for buyitdirect yesterday (just £3 more than Zavvi price) and already got it today (free delivery!)!! Now that's excellent customer service!
Zavvi won't see me ever again!!
Placed an order for PS4 with a dispatch date on the day of release. Did not receive it and after a few emails saying they are trying to sort it with their suppliers they now say we won't get one for Christmas which is a huge disappointment. A lot of other sites are at least honest.
After searching several online retailers for a DVD box set I found it on Zavvi, not only was it in stock but also it was the cheapest price around! Needless to say I clicked BUY NOW and it was delivered within a couple of days too! Truly excellent service from start to finish! .. Thank you
Zavvi offered the best price on the item I wanted so I ordered from them, the ordering process was quick and painless and delivery was very fast even though it was free. Great service and I will definitely be buying from them again
I was trying to think of something witty to write since I'd had such a fantastic service from a company who IMHO have turned around their services 180 degrees. 2 years ago, this would have been an entirely different review involving medieval metaphors and a general rant. However, this is not the case. Instead I shall tell the tale of an ordinary man who, upon realising that he DID in fact want the new Xbox, saw Zavvi were still taking orders for the day one release only 2 days before launch. With my trusty PC and mouse, I managed to secure an item. I was however sceptical, but I put my faith in the service being offered (and really hoped for this to be fulfilled) and lo, my console arrived on launch day! The Kingdom celebrated that the demon which was 'Zavvi poor customer service' had been vanquished.
purchased a game which was clearly marked as 'in stock' and delivery would be within 2-5 days. get one of these preset emails they send, 3 days later to say the item is in out of stock with their supplier and they are awaiting further information. A week later get the same email again. What was the point in wasting my time and advertising an item is in stock when it clearly wasn't! could have brought it elsewhere and had it by now. Wont be using these guys again!
I love shopping with Zavvi, they always have great prices, the items are well packaged, I receive the goods without any problems and am always satisfied with their results.............just plain and simple............great. Keep up the great work Zavvi.
In this age of computerised stock control you would expect a company such as Zavvi to know when they have sold more of a product than they actually have. Apparently not. Not only was my order cancelled, but it was cancelled late in the afternoon of XBox One launch day. Despite me contacting them multiple times asking if my order was going ahead they didn't feel the need to let me know they were cancelling it until so late in the day that all of the other legit companies selling the XBox One also had no stock.
I will never buy another product from Zavvi or the Hut group again.
Pre-ordered the Xbox One day one edition from this company and gauranteed launch day delivery. Found this deal originally on HOTUKDEALS and followed the thread since to see if others had received theirs.
I opted in to not using any codes as it is against their policies on pre-orders, and also chose the premium delivery option for an extra £5. All was well, until I noticed that they began dispatching out Xbox Ones to numerous people who were keeping us posted on the HOTUKDEAL thread.
It was when I noticed that customers who ordered AFTER mine, used 10% discount codes and free delivery receiving their Xbox Ones that I began to become a little irate.
I tried multiple queries on their online system only to receive the most useless generic answers to my questions. They do not have a dedicated phone number to talk to for customer services, all in all they are pretty useless and I would avoid them at all costs.
As you can see below I am not the only one who had this bad customer experience with Zavvi and I can assure you I am not the last.
I am utterly disgusted, I preordered an Xbox one from them which was a guaranteed launch day delivery and I have received an email stating that they have cancelled the preorder due to not having any stock.
I cancelled a preorder from Amazon and Gameseek prior so now have no console.
I will never use them ever again AVOID.
