Outstanding

Delivered my new mountain bike on time and without fuss. Driver phoned me to check exactly where to find me (he was literally 200m from the house). Tracking worked perfectly, right from an immediate automatic email to say the order had been packaged and ready to ship (from paulscycles.co.uk), through its journey down South, right to being out for delivery with a PM slot.

Couldn't ask for better - if only all couriers were this reliable.

Very good dependable service

We have been dealing with XDP for approximately 18 months. In comparison to the mediocre service provided by our previous better known carriers, they are a breathe of fresh air. Most of the staff seem to be motivated to deliver the consignments at the correct time and on the odd occassion things do go wrong, the staff at our local depot are always willing to go the extra mile.

Unreliable

I took a day off as delivery suppose to be done on Tuesday 12th of June. I received text confirming that my parcel is going to be delivered on that day (ZWABDG012841). I stayed in the house all day and the was no sign of courier. Website states "11.06.13, 16:22 - Out for delivery - Route 99 - PM Slot" But nothing happened. Why to declare that delivery will be done on specific day if according to rest of reviews they just suit themselves and confuse all the clients. They do have my phone number so I don't see the problem to inform me about delays. Contact number (01382 614517) on tracking website might look nice and professional but nobody answering it and you can't leave message because mailbox is full! I'm going to wait another 2 hours and I have to go back to work. I will inform the supplier and show him the reviews.

Hello, I see from the con number search that your delivery arrived at 13.00, the contact phone number issue has been passed onto the regional manager for him to investigate with regards the mail box full and no answer.

We have used XDP for the last 12 months with no issues at all. Question and queries are either dealt with there and then or answered within a sensible time frame. Fantastic Service by Haverhill Depot

Whilst other carriers have failed time and time again, XDP are the exception. From start to finish, I could track my order indicating an am or pm estimation, and upon calling the Haverhill Depot, I was dealt with in an extremely efficient manner. Even the driver was friendly and helped with the goods.

Couldn't of been much worse

First I had the delivery confirmed for a Friday, so I took a day off of work unpaid to receive it, delivery never came, I wasn't contacted to say why or that this would happen at all, I had to contact them to rearrange delivery and then on that delivery date they said they couldn't find my parcel and the lorry had already left and my parcel wasn't on it again, in the end one of the employees had to drop it off to me on his way home from work, totally unprofessional service from start to finish and I will never deal with them again

Hello Laura, Im really sorry your delivery didnt get to you on friday your confirmed day, having looked into this, the problem arose due to incorrect information provided by your supplier.
The one star rating would indicate... Very bad – unacceptable experience, unreasonable and rude conduct.... which i believe wasnt the case, when you contacted the delivery depot they done all they could to rectify and sort for you, which entailed your delivery being upgraded to a saturday and delivered by the driver in his own time.

Friendly, helpful and efficient

they turned up on time and the guy knew what it was I was expecting, and due to the the length of the packs, they were at bottom of the pile. He suggested that due to the size ( 2.6m lengths) he should back up the drive to make bringing them into the house easier. He quickly found the 3 additional smaller boxes, and in less than 5 minutes he was onto his next drop. Everything was completely undamaged which did surprise me as I work in distribution on trucks and know what 'outsize' packages can expect in such circumstances.

Appalling, Lazy and Dishonest!

Ordered a mattress that should have been delivered Tuesday, after waiting Wednesday I contacted the seller who looked into it and told us it had been carded, this is total fabrication on behalf of the courier. She provided a consignment number (Z3DIQS000437) and telephone number for my local depot. We called the number and got an answering machine, obviously left message asking for them to call back which they still haven't done. Have also emailed with no response. Since Wednesday there is another update on their website again saying they carded which is a blatant lie as I can 100% guarantee there has been no attempt to deliver at our home on any day and certainly no card left. It's now Friday night, no response to anything and am just waiting for next load of rubbish about being carded to be put on their website when they obviously couldn't be bothered to deliver. Hurray just checked again and apparently the phantom courier has carded again!!! Rubbish do not use

absolutely awful!!!! I would give no rating if I could

been waiting almost two days for my delivery, have caused a great deal of disturbance to my family who have been waiting for the bloody delivery and hasnt arrived yet. just like the person previously said they apparently have 'attempted and carded' which is absolutely crap. I hope it doesn't arrive damaged either!!!

Cant wait for the idiot to turn up so I can give him a piece of my mind. The company I bought the item off should have posted on their website who their delivery company is. it would help, its strange how they would write in bold "if this item arrives damaged, please inform us within 48 hours" sounds like its something that happens to them regularly!

Only Just spoke to someone called John from the Chesnut branch in london, he said he will guarantee my delivery for Saturday morning. I Will change my review to something better if it turns up not because I got the item (because it wouldnt have been on time anyway!) but because I enjoyed the conversation I had with the guy!

Driver on Derby Route 13 can't even read!!!

Should have received delivery on 4th June. Website said pm delivery. No delivery and no contact. Phoned Derby depot on the 5th June to be told that my parcel had been delivered to someone else with their parcel by accident and it would be picked up and delivered that day between 2 and 4 pm. No delivery. Left answer phone message with them that evening. Phoned again this morning (6th June) to be told they didn't know what was happening as the driver wasn't in yet at 8.30. This in itself I find odd for a courier company not to be on the road before this time. Was assured that the driver would call my mobile as soon as he arrived. It is now 11.15. He must work some strange hours not to have arrived yet! Have called depot again 8 times only to get engaged tone or answerphone. Would give it one star except that no one has been rude or malicious yet. Will update when I finally receive my dog food and my poor pooch has been fed!!

very unhelpful and could not care less !!

I ordered a trampoline from simply be which got sent direct from the supplier which was plum. All fine and good, so I placed the order on 22/5/13 given ten days to arrive by 1/6/13. Anyway I recieved a text message from the company xdp on fri 31st may to say my order will be with me am. Brilliant I thought! So I ring the number given on the message for the derby depot and explain that as I live on a new estate they may have to use my instructions to get to my house. The chap replied no problem ill let the driver know. They also had my number so in the event of getting lost you think theyd call right?! So I waited in all morning.... no trampoline. Try ringing them again.... no answer whatsoever! Try ringing saturday...no answer and no trampoline delivered. Rang them this morning to be told it would be with me today before 1pm. As its my little girls birthday tomorrow I thought brill! Just in time. Waited in AGAIN till 1pm.... no delivery. Ring them up the guy says oh he should be there soon its definately on the van.... so I ask for the mobile number of the driver. I call the driver to find out it never was on the van as it got dropped back on friday as nobody knew where I lived! Even though I called to explain this! (Lack of communication here) so the driver tells me hes going to get his boss to bring it to me when hes done at 5pm. Ok. So by this point im already frustrated. I patiently wait in and lo and behold the door goes at 5:40. There it is! They guys leans it up against the wall and says "uhh youve kept me out all day, iv got loads to do!" ( well excuse me for wanting MY DELIVERY) Bite my tounge after all its here now! Then he says "oh I delivered around the corner the other day" oh so you knew where my adress was anyway but failed to tell your driver! So he goes I take it outside as I want it setup for my daughters birthday tomorrow. Start putting up and I didnt think nothing of a great big hole in the box until I realise one of the pieces of frame is missing!! So I call him bk within ten minutes to say please could he look in the van as its probably dropped out. He replys oh its not there iv already looked!!! ( but Iv just rang you and I can hear you driving!!) So he says hell have a look tomorrow! Well its not good enough as I now have to present my heartbroken daughter with a half built trampoline that she cant play on until god knows when! Cheers!!!

still waiting.... after 26 hours

Hi there i am still waiting for my delivery to arrive. Since 9am in the morning that says out for delivery. Is 17:30 in the afternoon and nothing. Tried to call lots of times and i just get an aswer machine. No replys, no mensage, no email. No call. Please can you check this. Its urgent. The www just says out for delivery-roude 33-pm slot???

Another day taken out to be at home to recieve my delivery. And until now after calling 02031892639 26 times since 8am no one answers the phone. Sended email with my details and no one replied. Called costumer survices and some man very rude said that i shouldent call and that he cant help me. Www just says now for the 4 time this morning "at the depot". And when i call depot no one answers. God what else can happend? Help please

Don't keep promises made: only 40 miuntes from Oxford depot

Expensive garden item from Mow Direct out for delivery this a.m (31/5); at 1.45pm ring number on XDP tracking www, and after 4 attempts get someone to speak to. Promised to call driver/ call me back.
Call again @ 3pm, as needless to say no call back/ no delivery.
All knowledge of calling back forgotten by XDP, and update given that due in area around 4pm.
Ring again @ 4.55pm, as no sign; no answer.
Call Mow Direct; they too try-no luck.
Obviously gone home for weekend.
I am advised that delivery can take place up to 6pm. No sign...of course.
Now see on www, it's "carded"- certainly no card left here, as someone in all day, plus security cameras can verify.
I was hopeful that this delivery wouldn't suffer YODEL service levels :(

Awful. Might help if you answered the phone

Been waiting in all day for a delivery for consignment number ZWAWPI000255 which was due to be out for delivery today. Shows on XDP website it was at the depot for collection yesterday. Meant to be out for delivery today, no communication from XDP, no update to say it's even out for delivery, tried calling depot number or 07546770686 never answers. Furious to be honest!!! Have had to take a whole day off work for a delivery that's not even turned up!!!!

Poor Customer services, Rude on the Phone Desorganized

I've been trying to contact the Depot since yesterday to make sure they contact me B4 they delivery my goods, However nobody contact me, and I see on their website that my goods should be delivered today, without any notice so nobody will be home to receive it.. and I can't contact anyone to rearrange the delivery for a suitable day .. and I really need my goods urgently as it is a mattress and I suffer of back pain and I've been sleeping in the floor for 1 week in which is not helping.

I only hope they contact me ASAP to rearrange the delivery for Tomorrow as it is their fault that they didn't contact me so I could arrange for someone to be home.

Very disappointed.
Out for Delivery - Route 03 - ETA: 2:53pm to 5:53pm

Exception and Carded .. yet no call or card!!!

Waiting for a next day delivery Service... Never heard of XDP..At first I was impressed at the way XDP notify you.. "text and email".. Seem they offered a serious service. I made sure I didn't leave the house!!! .

Been tracking the delivery every hour, nothing changed until 20:39... Status: Exception and Carded, yet no notification to the end customer.... I'm sure you can use the same "Pre-Alert" notification system "email and text!"... no call or card left either... No Delivery truck/van in the horizon. I leave in a T-Road ... I see all the cars that come and go. XDP did not come here!
Out for delivery at midday and nothing after 8 hours, not even a call/text/email to indicate "we could not make it today".. I think that's rude.
Depot number... I never made it through to them

Very disappointed now, I hope I can get my delivery this week. Otherwise my guests will be sleeping on the FLOOR!!! Thanks XDP!!!

Outstanding Customer Service

I ordered a large 4 door wardrobe, which I expected to arrive on Friday 24th May. After a hiccup in the supply chain the wardrobe did not arrive, however, after contacting the company through Facebook, I had a personal assurance the wardrobe would be with me the following day and it was with me by lunch time.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. They were polite, courteous and went out of their way to help

Failed to deliver next day twice, goods damaged.

Hi,

We were having some bees delivered. We got the PM slot, being delivered to work. They miss the slot and mark the delivery as Carded at 18.34. No card, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, the loading bay did shut at 18.30. The bees get delivered the next day. Someone had clearly treated the package poorly because it had been the wrong way up at one point, drowning nearly all the bees in their transit food.

We get more bees sent out to home this time (ZDBGCN000304). My wife waits in all day FFS, and finally at 19.56 the delivery is flagged as Carded, despite not actually turning up to the house or delivering a card.

I only hope the bees aren't dead again this time.

XDP has basically turned this experience into an unpleasant one of waiting in for no parcels and getting damaged goods.

My girlfriend and I placed an order for a bed and sofa which was requested to be delivered on Monday 20th May. After waiting in all day, at around 4.30 we rung up as directed in the email confirmation. We were informed that the packages had only been collected this day and were due for delivery the day after. No one would be in on Tuesday so we asked for delivery on Thursday instead. After waiting in on Thursday for most of the morning and afternoon we received a phone call to say that the the base of the bed we ordered was missing so the furniture would not be delivered that day. Friday morning they phoned again to say that they now had the base of the bed, but not the sofa. Due to the bank holiday we were told that they would call on Tuesday morning.
They did not call yesterday, and they have not called today. I would drive up to the depot and pick it up myself tomorrow if I had to, because we've had to spend over a week sleeping on the floor, and I would just like my furniture or a way to contact the depot directly to find out exactly when the furniture will be delivered.

Great Service and Pleasant Driver!

I've never had a delivery from XDP before, I had ordered a Petrol Lawnmower on a Friday morning, and by Monday morning at 10am it was at my doorstep as promised!

Excellent service and tracking with a timeslot too! Can't be better! Drivers from your Bridgend (Pyle) depot were also very helpful and pleasant!

Disorganised and rude

We’ve been trying to take delivery of Consignment Ref: ZFBVDW001363 for over a week now.

My boyfriend and I have called both the driver and local depot on multiple occasions to find out when the package will be delivered and there is rarely any response. On the one occasion I did get through to the depot last Wednesday I spoke to an extremely rude disinterested man. After finally establishing that I had got through to the right place (he was hard work!) I was told the package would be delivered on Thursday which was great, however when I called on Thursday I was told it would be delivered on Friday – when no one would be at home!

I told them no one would be home on Friday however, now logging onto the tracking page on the website it says the package was delivered on Friday, which it wasn’t!!! Neither was there a card left to inform us that someone had tried to deliver it!! Very frustrating!!!

I’ve called the local depot again this morning and left a message for someone to call me back. And my boyfriend tried to get hold of the driver....who isn't at work today. And so, the saga continues! Will they try and deliver it again today? Will it be am or pm? Will they even bother? Who knows!!?!!!!!

What I do know is that given the choice in future I will avoid this company like the plague. I had no idea simply having a parcel delivered could be so difficult!!

Very poor communication and organisation

I ordered a number of items from eBay (different sellers) who all used xdp to ship.

All three orders were due for delivery on thurs 23rd may. The status if orders was marked as dispatched on the Thursday morning for a pm delivery slot. Phoned XDP depot in Darlington (numerous unsuccessful attempts before finally getting an answer) to confirm what the time frame was for delivery and was confirmed as between 12:00hrs and 18:00hrs. Waited until 18:15hrs with no delivery and no answer from the depot when I tried calling after 17:00hrs.

Called the next day (fri 24th may) and was advised that deliveries were to be made that day as the delivery van had broken down on the previous day.

The delivery came at about 15:00hrs with 2 full consignments but only 3 parts of the third consignment. The driver called the depot to enquire about this and then suggested that it may be on another can as the deliveries for my area had been split (to clear the backlog from the previous day). He then stated that he would check to see whether the final part was at the depot.

No phone call/email communication received to inform me whether the item had been found.

Therefore I have a mattress but only 3 parts of the bed that it is meant to fit on.

Have tried calling the depot today but I assume it is not open on Saturdays!?

Not very impressed that I may have to wait until 5 days (due to the bank holiday) after my original delivery date to find out whether the missing item has been found.

NON DELIVERY BY XDP

Purchased timber and associated extras (50KGs) from LEL Timber Devon on the morning of 17th May 2013.
Their website says "despatch same day if ordered before 2pm"
LEL Timber advised delivery date would be Wednesday 22nd. Waited in all day - no delivery.
Contacted them on Thursday morning 23rd - they advise XDP are the delivery company.
Checked XDP website to view the delivery status - Information says "COLLECT", Telephoned their office (0203 1892639) and spoke to someone!

Not the most courteous person I`ve ever spoken to! He eventually informed me that it had NOT been collected, which doesn’t mean anything to me. I informed him that it MUST be delivered Friday at the latest and he must call me back to confirm before close of business that day.
He NEVER called back.

Friday 9am Checked their tracking online, same status “COLLECT”
Friday 9.05 am and 9.30 am tried telephoning again NO REPLY
9.30 am telephoned LEL Timber in Devon told them the story and also told them to sort delivery today
10.15 am still no contact – sent email to LEL Timber informing them that unless delivery was guaranteed today I will cancel order and expect a full refund.

10.33 to their credit LEL Timber called me back to say they had spoken to my “Local” XDP depot and they cannot understand why this hasn’t been delivered!

XDP services is pathetic, but just to round this off the nice gentleman at LEL Timber then informed that one item I ordered could not be used with one of the other items I had ordered

To cut a long story short LEL Timber had despatched some wrong products. I attach no blame to LEL Timber (except to their minor error on ordering) and to their credit they are immediately refunding my payment. I`m now off to Homebase or B&Q to pay their extortionate prices for the same product, as I have already hired a company to install the products on Saturday 25th.

Good luck to anyone using XDP in my opinion you will need it!

Need to meet delivery deadlines!

We ordered a bed from bedroom world and paid for next day delivery, we received an e-mail stating xdp would be the courier and given details on how to track our order. I took the day off work today so that I would be in between the hours of 8am-6pm for delivery and checked on the status of delivery via e-mail, which said our bed had been dispatched on an am delivery. After waiting in all day at 4.30pm my husband gave the Blackburn depot a call to ask what time we should expect delivery. The person who he spoke to said he would contact the driver and call back in 10 minutes. After waiting an hour for a return call we rang again and were told that the driver had run out of time and was going back to the depot without delivering our bed (despite the fact that we have paid for next day delivery and we had provided our telephone number so that we could be contacted throughout the day). We have now been told that our bed will be delivered before 10.30am tomorrow morning (which means I will need to take more time from work). After reading other reviews about this company I am doubting that this bed will actually arrive before lunchtime tomorrow in which case we will be cancelling our order and making further complaints.

Update: Our delivery arrived by 10.30am today as promised and the delivery driver was helpful in bringing the boxes in as I would struggle on my own. Seems that there are issues in bedroom world promising next day delivery and xdp being unable to deliver this service. Changed my rating from 1 to 3 following today's service.

Hello Loree, Thankyou for updating your review, XDP do there very best to meet the deliver dates promised by suppliers, with on average 12000 parcels going through the network each night sometimes they are unrealistic. Im glad to hear the driver was helpful although taking goods into a property is not something that any delivery company does just incase of damage of marks on carpets etc but he could obviously see you would struggle I will find out who the driver was and thankyou him, without his depot knowing.

A delivery firm that does not appear to deliver....no customer support/service

Similar to a number of other reviews I have been shocked with the way that XDP operates. In summary, we ordered garden furniture from world stores with next day delivery from XDP. Everything seemed to be working fine, as their tracking website confirmed the selected date of delivery (being 8 May); we waited in all day on the 8th no delivery was made. I called both world store and XDP and neither answered their phones at any point through this whole ongoing issue.

Their tracking website was updated to state that consignment was now booked in for the 9th, again we waited in all day and no delivery. The website stated call the depot, but after countless calls I concluded they do not answer this number.

A number of days pass and both the seller (world stores) and XDP depot do not answer their phones (or in the case of world stores their email, as they switched of voice customer support due to their volume of issues). I did get an email back from Caroline in XDP admin, who basically said that all she could do is email me the depot number. I asked her to email me this as the one quoted online is not answered; I am yet to get a response.

I later got an unrelated email from Gail Robertson (XDP customer services) who stated they had phone issues on the 10th May (although hardly an excuse as I have been calling every day for the past 10 days), she stated that due to the time lapse from my original email I needed to resend the request (even though in this time lapse of 3 days nothing had happened other than me wasting a lot of time trying unsuccessfully to get hold of people)

I finally got hold of someone from world stores (actually following advice from a member of trust pilot, so thank you); they apologised and started to actively chase. They said that XDP could do a delivery for last Wednesday (13 May), I said that I could not do that day (as was overseas) but instead requested Friday. World stores confirmed that it would be booked for Friday. XDP ignored the request and came on Wednesday and left a card, stating to call the depot, same number as before, however this time te number appears to have been disconnected! Unable to contact either Worldstores or XDP on the Thursday or Friday morning, we decided to take Worldstores at their word and wait in for delivery on the Friday. Again XDP did not turn up!

I have tried XDP customer service again via email, but am not hopeful. I am used to logistic firms allowing you to book re delivery online, but not XDS!

Based in the other reviews, assuming I eventually get the product (which at this point seems a big assumption) there is a high chance of either partial delivery or it being damaged, and I don't like my chances of booking a pick up!!

Hello Paul, I have spoken to the depot manager, and customer service who are looking into this. The phone has been reported to BT and awaiting an engineer. I will be monitoring the outcome which will hopefully be resolved as a mater of urgency.

Fabulous service, shame everybody else seems to get a bad deal.

I ordered a mattress from Amazon and Xdp were my courier. Amazon sent me the wrong details for tracking my parcel, so I became a little concerned. I became considerably more concerned when I looked on here and saw that they had received so many horrific reviews. However, on contacting my supplier and receiving the right tracking number, I couldn't be more thrilled. The tracking number allowed me to see where my parcel was and it all went very smoothly. My mattress arrived a day ahead of schedule and in perfect condition. My driver was friendly and very helpful, he even offered to carry the mattress upstairs for me. I have been one of the lucky ones apparently!

No Complaints for me!

Had a parcel delivered by XDP and i have no complaints! the delivery driver was very helpful and courteous, i knew what time my parcel was coming and it was delivered on time. Its a shame that others havnt recieved such a good service but im sure that i am not a exception! A** company would reccomend!

Its an embarrassing Company

I have spoken to their head office, various people on three different occasions, and each time I’ve been told that someone will call me back regarding this complaint. I’m very annoyed that I have now been forced to waste my time again in writing you an email.

There are a few elements to the complaint. –

1. The delivery was 1 hour 20mins outside of the delivery slot, which meant I had to have someone on site to wait for the delivery for nearly 6 hours which I had to pay for. I called the number on the email – 07596831761 to ask why my delivery was late. I was told it was running 15mins late, so I waited. Nothing, so called again, told another 15mins, and waited, and nothing. I called back to be told to stop calling and was hung up on. When I called back, no one picked up. I left 4 voicemails. No one replied to any of them.

2. When the delivery finally arrived, the driver said that he had an accident, and paint had spilled all over his van and all over my delivery. He told me I could refuse the delivery at this point. i was so tired and angry from waiting and so we assessed the situation. The paint had spilled on the outer boxes of my beds and on 1 mattress on the plastic cover. The driver removed the plastic from the matress and I inspected it, and it had no paint on the actual mattress.

3. I personally removed all items from the van myself. The driver did not take anything out of the van. I never asked him to, nor did I ask him to help me. So that’s ok

4. When we counted all the items, I mentioned that there was an item missing, a headboard, and we had an extra bed frame. I counted all the boxes which were in my hallway at this point, and noticed he had given me an extra headboard which wasn’t for me. I told him to wait outside, and he came in, at this point, he brought into MY HOUSE, two massive footprints of white paint onto my dark purple carpet, and only my hallway parquet wooden floors. I asked him to step outside and that hes put paint on my carpet. He apologised and said I should call the headoffice.

5. I immediately called the mobile number above and no one picked up. At this stage I was FURIOUS, as THEIR driver was 1 hour 20mins OUTSIDE of the allocated 4 HOURS DELIVERY slot, and then got paint all over my NEW carpet in my new home.

6. I called the following morning, to be told exactly – “what do you want me to do about it, I obviously cant, im very busy, stop calling this number” and the guy put the phone down. I called back immediately and asked why he hung up on me, and I was told, “im sorry, im too busy for this, what do you want me to do”

7. The fact that you as a company have been rude, unorganised, driving dangerously for a pot of paint to explode, keep clients waiting, speak to people as if they were a nuisance, and then NOT to take my complaint seriously? I have never in my life heard of such a ridiculous operation. It was almost like a wind up joke at that stage.

8. The next day the rest of the delivery was being sent to me, so I received another email saying their product is out for delivery, and so I rang up, no one answered. I went back on site, waitied, and waited and waited, and this time the delivery was 1hour 40mins late outside of its allocated delivery time. I don’t know if you understand what it feels like to wait in an empty house for a delivery, not knowing if its coming or not, but I left 5 voicemails on the number above and NO ONE got back to me.

9. I have contacted their headoffice on this matter, and no one has got back to me, I have been told a regional manager will call, no one did. I don’t understand why you want to treat their clients like this?

10. I have had to spend £35 on supplies to remove the paint from my house that their company as an act of vandalism did to my property. I want this refunded immediately. Please arrange for the refund to be processed immediately. Please contact me for my payment details. I am not going to keep calling, because their customer service team don’t care about their business.
