A day late and no communication.

I ordered a bed to be delivered by xdp who gave a full day slot for delivery so waited in but it did not arrive. No one let us know. The following day I had to contact the company to find out what happened who apparently automatically try and re deliver the next day, of course they don't tell the customer. Rubbish service and communication.

Cheerful and chatty staff

The delivery driver that came to drop off my Parcel was a breath of fresh air. He was cheerful and chatty. We normally get stuff dumped at the doorstep but in this case the delivery man went out if his way and brought the items into the house, which he didn't have to do. If all deliveries were like this!

I'm glad I didn't pay for the service.

I was taking delivery of a parcel being sent to me through XDP. I tracked the item which it said would be deliverer between 2pm and 5pm (approx). No item delivered on the day. Although the tracker said delivered at 17:31. I was at home at this time so was a bit perturbed by the tracking info. No card put through the letter box. I sent an email to the link on the tracker asking for some information on the delivery. This was sent on 09/04 @ 19:29. On 10/04 I sent another email @ 15:57 again asking for information. No contact was received from XPD. So on Saturday 12/04 I rang at 08:30 in the morning and spoke to a gentleman who told me he could not help as the 'internet was down'. I asked what time they were open until and was told 12:00. Between 11:00 and 12:00 I rang 15+ times only to get a message box which I had previously felt a message on with no reply. On Sunday 13/04 my neighbour said 'I have a parcel for you'. This would not have happened had a card been put through the door or a note on the tracking page stating left at neighbours.
My main gripe is that I find it very rude to ignore emails and messages left on voice mail. I have still had no contact from XPD except for this email I'm replying too asking for feedback. Sorry I can't be positive but the service was shocking. Like I say I didn't pay for there service and never will.

Hello Stephen, I really am sorry you had this problem, I can see the driver had put on the POD left with No 75, I agree with you a card should off been left, I will be passing this onto the delivery depot to ensure the driver is fully aware of the xdp requirements.
Which email address had you sent messages to? the myparcel@xdp.co.uk is monitored monday to friday 9-5.

Again I very sorry, but thankyou for taking the time to post this review, all reviews are investigated to ensure issues like this are stopped.

Good delivery if 50 late

Promised to deliver at 2-5 but dropped off at nearly 6. Otherwise, all good - qualtiy product and quality delivery. No real issues.

No communication whatsoever

I have been tracking my order and the details state they tried to deliver my item yesterday but 'delivery address is wrong' I emailed them (as there is no telephone number provided on the site) to ask what is happening. This was almost 24 hours ago and still no reply

I called the supplier of my good who states that XPD have attempted 3 times to deliver my item (in one day???) and it is now being returned to the supplier (I ordered it on night of 14th April so do no know how it is possible that XPD have been trying to deliver for 3 days)

Still no word from XPD when my item will be delivered no one has had the courtesy to acknowledge or reply to my email. Very bad service.

Disappointed and Annoyed!

Upon confirming sale I was told I would receive a call to book a delivery date for my area on the Thurs/Fri of the week.
On the Tuesday at 9.30am I received a text to say it was being delivered at 10am. I was not available or at home so called and spoke to a man to change the delivery address and time which he confirmed. I had done what was asked to change delivery.
I then arrived at the property 8 hours later to find my full shipment worth over £120 had been left on my front door step, no signature, no protection from rain! Thanks for that!
Not happy or impressed and will be writing to the company used to make an additional complaint.

Good, value for money service, shame about the driver

So, the delivery was on time, really quick and good value for money. The parcel arrived safely.

But...

The driver expected my girlfriend, who is eight months pregnant, to carry the stuff upstairs to our flat. He did it in the end, which is somethoing I suppose....

Hello Andrew, I am pleased the driver did assist in the end, overnight parcels are delivered to the ground floor, there are strict rules in place to cover both parties, due to health and safety and the possibility of claims been made if a driver marked a wall or carpet whilst bringing goods into a property.
Could I ask you to update your review with the consignment number so the driver can be identified, he weight up the situation correctly on this occasion.

On time with a smile

Informed of timeframe for the delivery by text and delivered as promised. Delivery man very pleasant and brought goods - a heavy bed frame- right up into hallway for me. Would highly recommend

Poor beyond belief ( minus 5 stars, if I could)

The large parcel arrived safely, but that was the end of the good service. I asked the driver for help to get the delivery up the buildings staircase to my flat, he refused assistance and drove off. I was left with a very heavy 3 seater sofa, to carry up SIX flights of stairs, by MYSELF. I just about managed to do this, after a long struggle and fortunately without injury.
If this is your company policy, then it needs rethinking, customers should be informed ,that they will not receive help getting the delivery up any building stairs, so they then can make arrangements for help with any large item.
This is an urgent issue that needs to be dealt with, not everyone would be able to carry large items on their own and could injure themselves badly trying.

Hello Chris, I do aplogise, however I would need you consignment number to clarify this, I suspect your supplier put your consignment on the overnight service not the 2man, the 2man service does cost more but would ensure goods can be carried up stairs, usually to first floor room of choice.
If the supplier is sending items on the wrong service this needs to be addressed to avoid a similar situation.

If only all firms were this good

My goods were delivered right on time with no hassle at all and brought right to my door. No waiting for days on end not knowing when the delivery would arrive. If only all delivery firms were like this.

Worst delivery company

Our delivery was 3 days late. On the first day the driver apparently had an emergency call and couldn't make it. We were never informed about this (I only found out several days later) and when I tried to call customer services nobody picked up. I left 3 voice mails and nobody ever reached back to me. The next day a different driver actually called to ask for directions to our house, which I gave, only to never hear back from him again and he never showed up. His phone was switched off. On the third day somebody finally came to deliver our items and when he arrived he literally dumped them out the back of his truck and drove off without even offering to help me get the parcels into my flat. I should mention I am on crutches after a knee operation. Worst delivery company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

All reviews are investigated, the drivers are the face of xdp and have a standard of service to uphold if that is not being adhered to the relevant depot needs to take action.

Unexpectedly (in that you never know what to expect when waiting for a delivery) brilliant.

We ordered an item expecting delivery in "7-10 days".
We received mails for tracking and phone call to check we were in.
The item was delivered the day after we ordered it.
Over 100 miles away too.

what a great bargain coal bunker

I was very pleased with the purchased of my coal bunker, it was so easy to assemble
and quite light to move about which as a pensioner I found very useful indeed, it is a very sturdy bunker and fits in nicely where i have it in place, It was a pleasure doing business with this seller with a quick delivery and a friendly delivery driver. thanks

Friendly service and goods received with no damage

Goods were delivered later than expected but driver did ring to advise they were stuck in traffic and would be about an hour late. I was fine with this as know these things can happen and I wish more delivery companies had the courtesy to do this. I would certainly be happy to use them again.

Poor customer service, rude, couldn't care a less attitude when item lost, delivered day late after waiting in all day.

Spent considerable time trying to get through to check what was happening with delivery. Response was that it had been lost between the collection and delivery depot. Consequently it was not showing on the tracker and they would be unable to trace until the following day. No apologies or reassurances that it would be found. "This sort of thing was normal and a number of lost deliveries were allowed". Explained that could not wait in the following day. Supplier of goods advised that they would work around my commitments. Day 2 received a text advising delivery times - although I was at work and so not able to take delivery. Rang to explain - phone went dead and they rang back in 1 hour. Rang local depot centre to explain difficulties who was most unsympathetic - take it or leave it and then put the phone down. Appreciating the logistics involved and that mistakes do happen, an apology, some common courtesy and offer to help rectify should surely have been the best response.
