Received a coffee table which I bought from Amazon, delivered by XDP with the glass all broken into thousand pieces. My ID or whatever that crap website calls it is Z3DIWZ008222, the delivery man was in such a rush and now I realize why

After watching my sofa "tour de depot" - it now seems to have landed at the "delivery" depot... Except no one can contact the depot, nor is there any sign of movement and the delivery is now delayed without any update from XDP.
Having called the help desk - I was forwarded onto the company whom I purchased the Sofa from... They are using the same tracking website! How can they give me a better update?!

I ordered a Bed via Worldstore last week and it was supposed to be on next day delivery, which was Friday, I have just moved into a house and I have been sleeping on the floor so was looking forward to having a bed sorted for the weekend. However, little did i know that excitement would be shattered! And 4 days of frustration was beginning! The tracking website didnt get updated until 12noon to say deliver would be between 4.30 and 7.30 - not the 8 - 6 I was previously advised. If I had know this i could have actually gone to work and not taken the day off at all. I did get a call about 4.55 asking if i was in and 10 minutes later the van turns up ... a plan white grubby looking van with no logos on it! My friend that was here assisted bringing the boxes and mattress in as 1 of the delivery men never even got off the van to help! And then I was told only 2 of the 3 boxes for the bed frame were on the van, i asked why and when i was to expect the last box and i was told it will be on a van coming later that day - a clear but very well rehearsed lie! I was then pushed to sign for the delivery so they could leave which i wasnt happy to do as it wasnt all there, he reluctantly changed the figure on the form to 2 and said he would park up properly and make a call for me so I stupidly signed and surprise surprise he just drove off! I called him back (had his numebr as he called me before arriving) and he said he would text me his managers number. He did this and I called but it went straight to voicemail, no response was ever received to the message I left and the depot number on all the emails just rang out, after 5.30pm I gave up and tried contacting Worldstore (i won't go into that here). The end result what that i went the whole weekend having no idea if or when i would recieve the last box - I am still sleeping on the floor. I managed finally to contract Worldstore on the Monday and someone was looking into it for me but were not getting any commitment from XDP on when I would get the delivery, just that they would try and delivery the next day (Tuesday). So here I am another day off and it is now 12noon and i still dont have my box. Worldstore contacted me at 9.15 as promised and said the XPD said they were loading the van but still wouldnt confirm a delivery time, I was then given a number for XPD to call if I needed too but I was told they should be calling me directly to say it is on its way. XPD never called me. So I have just called them on the number provided, I explained the situation and was told they couldnt help me as I shouldnt have this number and I should go back via Worldstore. I explained that it is them that messed up my delivery, it is their delivery man that was rude and unhelpful and it is them that has my box so why cant she tell me where it is. She said no and she would be contacting Worldstore to tell me. I have heard nothing since!
I have never known a delivery service like it and as a contractor myself this has now cost me 2 days money as well as the cost of the bed. As well as not using Worldstores again I will avoid any delivery via XDP as well - not worth the hassle.
My biggest fear is that I wont ever get the last box as yesterday the tracking site updated to say all barcodes delivered which is clearly not true - so will i ever get my final box. I will let you know if it happens!

I ordered a 4 door wardrobe and dressing table. Get an email saying its been dispatched Thursday night and will be with me Friday. Take whole day off of work and wait in. Absolutely nothing delivered. Tried calling local office and customer services within opening hours and it just ring and rings and rings. Email and automated reply says I should hear something within 2 hours, nothing still!! Saturday comes and tracking says ETA of 1-4pm, so I wait in. It just arrived, one of three parcels to make the wardrobe!! What use is one parcel to me!! And no sign of the dressing table. It clearly says on the box, box 3 of 3, so why even bother sending out this one parcel for delivery on its own! The dispatch said Thursday all my parcels were at the same depot so why separate them!! I ask the driver for a contact number, he has nothing. I have hired somebody to put the furniture together today, what a waste of money. This is the worst customer service I have ever received. Can someone from XPD call me on 07730679787 because no matter how hard I try I cant get through to talk to anybody!!!!

Can't deliver on date agreed and blatantly lie about carding your door when you've waited in all day and rang twice to be told it will be there. Absolute f'ing cowboys. Disgusted of Staffordshire. Update: yes the house no is 6, and I supplied my mobile no. So there was no excuse to not contact me if there was a query. As you supposedly carded my door at 17:45 in a invisible van according to my CCTV footage, driven by the invisible man, you must have had the house number.
I've had no missed calls or voicemails...in fact my wife was on the phone to the depot a minute before the status changed to carded, obviously the depot changed the status knowing full well we weren't getting the delivery having just told my wife it will still make it that day... Then hey presto at 6pm with no show, the depot have sodded off home and the phone rings out, no option to leave a message, nothing. Your company is a total waste of space, and whilst I appreciate your efforts, it must surely be better for your continued business to actually do what you're paid to do, when you've agreed to do it and not lie to your those that keep you in food and shelter, then expect yourself to mop up these many dissatisfied customers.

Expected a delivery of a bed today. Waited at home all day as instructed for delivery ZWAMAQ000163 which never showed up. Phoned the local depot several times from 4.30pm-no one answered. Have no idea where delivery is or what is happening!
Okay so i took a day from work to wait for my specified delivery date of wed 8th may.It was over 500 pounds worth of furniture from worldstores.I have tracked the order and it just says dispatched so where is it.The consignment number is ZWAMCS000848.Why is the service from XDP so bad as was the service with world stores.I hope i haven't been scammed because i am seriously getting frustrated and will consider further action if this is not rectified soon.

Have taken day of work today to be in for my delivery, I phoned up company at 16.50 and asked for an update and was advised that order was not out for delivery because it was a bank holiday on Monday. According to tracking information the package was received by my local depot at 07.19am this morning. I do not see how bank holiday on Monday would affect a delivery today.
Person on the phone was very rude (Motherwell Depot), instead of offering apology simply stated that it was not his problem. I then asked if delivery would be made tomorrow and was advised that he did not know. I stated that this was not good enough and asked to speak to his manager, I advised that he was rude and that his conduct was wholly unacceptable. He then hung up the receiver.
I will be advising the company that I purchased from and recommending that they cease to use this company for deliveries again in the future.
Unimpressed to say the least.

A no show on Friday 3rd May. Waited in from 0800 to 20.00 as instructed. Several emails to vendor who apologised profusely and said I would hear from XPD shortly. Nothing all weekend. Monday was Bank Holiday. E mailed vendor again. More apologies. E mail pre delivery alert received at 11.32 today to say the goods would be delivered tonight (?) between 6.04 pm and 9.04 pm. Cancelled my plans for the evening to say in and accept delivery. Checked tracking progress when I got home. The systems says the goods are back in the depot just after 3pm today! I cannot get hold of antone at XPD or my vendor. Value of shipment is about £1800. I am pulling my hair out. I have repeatedly asked for someone to call me today to arrange delivery to no avail just this random alert email.
Phones ringing out all day or Head Office number just dumps your call by saying "exiting the system". Customer Service? What service???

Delivery arranged twice with XDP and on both occasions it failed to arrive. I need to arrange it a third time but guess what? I can't get through on the phone. Any proactive company would call me first instead of waiting for me to get in touch. Their phone is constantly engaged because of the sheer number of people trying to get through, none of whom will get an answer because the phone just rings out.
I called their Bristol branch to speak to a person who gave me their head office number. Surprise, surprise all you get there is an automated response which cuts you off. Persistence pays though and another branch told me to call 01675 475754 where I got someone in customer services. Typically of such a useless company all that person can do is leave a message on someone's phone.
Absolutely, disgracefully, alarmingly useless.

UPDATE 7th May: Item delivered today despite me not having scheduled it. It was just luck that I happened to be in. Noticed that the XDP site said the item was 'out for delivery' - that's a first! Makes it seem like the other two occasions it wasn't being delivered at all. Don't trust them - XDP are worthless! Their drivers are friendly though.
Z3DZVD001175 - shown on website as out for AM delivery. So at 13.00hrs I called the local office. They say it was delivered this morning and someone signed for it.
My house has a unique postcode (only house in the UK with that postcode), I have been in all day and we have no near neighbours. It has not been delivered to the correct address.
So it looks like my parcel (a £500 inflatable boat) has been lost :-(
Been promised a call back by the local office when they get the paperwork from the driver?
UPDATE - over the weekend the branch manager (Thetford) called and emailed me. They used a sub-contractor to deliver my parcel and they can't get hold of him over the Bank Hol weekend to find out where he delivered it. I hope to hear early this week.
FURTHER UPDATE - 3 days later. It transpires that Thetford XDP sub-contracted my delivery route to a Thetford second-hand tyre Company!! The tyre Company then sub-contracted it to someone else and they are now un-contactable. Parcel lost or stolen. I now need to try and recover the £500 I have paid.
Now where to start, I ordered some equipment on the 20th 0f April 13 from a reputable supplier on Ebay someone who we have had dealings with before and was known to be reliable, it was marked dispatched on the 23 when it was shown on the tracking system as two consignments on an overnight delivery TRACKING NO: Z3DOUY000225, and then nothing despite contacting the supplier and phoning XDP until the 3rd of may when the system suddenly showed it was it was now in motion, well one half of the order is?, now this lot is an antenna mast of some 12 meters when extended and a rigging kit &guy lines etc, one half of the order is totally useless without the other, I have to have this equipment or a replacement sited and in operation for use this weekend, now that's a bit of a tall order even for me if it is not here today I will have no option other than to buy a replacement set of kit at a cost of £450 or lose forthcoming contracts, OVERNIGHT DELIVERY!,

Excitedly waiting for my new bike. Website said out for pm delivery excellent :) waited around all till 5:45 still not bike tried calling unable to speak to any one :( sent email no reply :( later that night website changed to carded and this was definitely 100% not carded through my letter box. Rang supplier who said they would re route my bike to work so i didn't have to take more time off. Great but then XDP express deliver to my home address in a damaged box with some contents missing (meaning i then had to go home pick it up take it to my local branch for them to rectify then take home again :( would have easy to collect it myself) i then get a email saying your parcel has been delivered. So i replied to ask 1: why was it not delivered yesterday and 2: why was it delivered today to the wrong location in a damaged box labeled as FRAGILE only to be told only my supplier could get this answer.
Very poor service and a very stressful two days. Maybe some more customer service training needed here and it would be nice if the delivery guys respected the valuable things they are delivering
I ordered a bed and wardrobe through world stores who used xdp as their courier. I specified at the time of order that I wanted the order delivered on 1st May as this was the day my wife had taken off work. I received an email from world stores that morning stating that delivery was out and that it would be delivered between 9 and 6. My wife waited in all day for no delivery to arrive. She took a day off work for this and we are not happy that our order wasn’t delivered. We can’t afford to have to keep taking extra days to wait in for it to be delivered again, especially at such short notice for our companies, and when we tried phoning the number of our local depot all we got was the answering machine. I received a phone call from Jennifer this morning who informed me that the delay to my delivery was due to the supplier trying to ship me damaged goods and XDP refusing to deliver it as it was clearly damaged. Thank you Jennifer for your prompt asssistance with this, I shall update my rating accordingly.
Contrary to other unlucky reviewers I have been very impressed with the staff and service from the Dartford depot. I rang first thing this morning and was told the approximate time of delivery. Jason the driver rang me later in the morning with an update to the delivery time (not far off that originally stated) which I was grateful for. He was on time. The goods delivered are slightly damaged but that's down to the supplier, not XDP, and I'm not too concerned, having paid far less than the original price.
I was waiting for a delivery of my new bike which was at the depot on Friday due for delivery Monday (I thought it was due saturday but I was wrong) however XDP went out of their way to deliver it to me on the Saturday! :-)
They were supposed to deliver a sofa bed yesterday. Everything seemed to go smoothly (i got an "Out for Delivery" message at 9am yesterday), but then they called me around noon to tell me that they would not be able to deliver and had to reschedule to the next day (which is today). This morning the tracking system indicated that my item was back "At Delivery Depot" and there was no "Out for delivery" message, so i decided to contact the local depot.
After 1-2 hours of failed attempts i finally got someone on the phone. I was told that my item was again not out for delivery and they once again proposed to postpone delivery to next business day (Monday). I explained him that i really need it today, as i'll have guests over this weekend who are supposed to sleep on the yet-to-be-delivered sofa bed. He told me that he'd see what he could do and call me back in 5 minutes.
Those 5 minutes nearly became an hour, but the good news was that they were going to deliver after all. A few hours later the sofa bed was indeed delivered (by the man who runs the local depot, in his own car). He told me that they were having some troubles because one of the delivery vehicles had broken down.
My overall impression is that they can be a bit sloppy in communication but are very helpful once you manage to get them on the phone. I guess i was just unlucky with thefailed delivery, but the problem was adequately solved once i explained the urgency.

well my large item was sent overnight delivery on Monday. Now on Wednesday it is not here and the customer service people I have spoken to do not know when it will be here. they did offer to downgrade it to economy rather then overnight so as the sender gets some money back but i fail to see what exactly that offer extends to me? I want my parcel. seller told me to expect it Tuesday or Wednesday at latest and I can make no plans as XDP cannot tell me when they think they might deliver. USELESS!!!!

What an incredibly bad service. rude. unhelpful.
Thursday- 2pm. it has finally arrived. one man and little van so i ended up helping him unload as on his own he could not handle the items carefully.. upon unpacking discovered several items badly damaged. I will never buy anything delivered by this company again.

Hi, there just to let you all know that we as a company have used XDP for over 3 years and we have found them to be excellant. Our couriers <private data removed> are always there to help you. The service they offer is outstanding, they go out of their way to help you get the service you require. We have had no complaints regarding the services they provide, ok sometimes there may be hiccups in a late delivery but you can guarantee that they will do all they can to get your parcel there. With the internet online account you can also track your parcels, and even contact the couriers in the area where your parcels are going to check when they will be delivered. Well the delivery finally turned up today. All 200KG of it..... which was left at my front door outside. I'm no body builder, I can't lift it so it's sitting outside waiting to be stolen. Could have been courteous and brought it into the hallway for me, but at least its finally here. Will never use again.
Apparently my item went out for delivery this morning and would be delivered during the AM slot. Still no sign and can't get an answer from any of the depots. I've sat in all day with 4 kids under 5 and keeping them all entertained is proving to be extremely difficult! This is the second time I have had a delivery from XDP. The first I was out and the van popped back to my house later that evening on the chance I was finished work, much to my surprise and delight. The 2nd time the delivery was made within 36 hours of my order. I received an email telling me it was on route and a quick call to the dept told me the approximate delivery time which was within 15 mins. You can only speak as you find and I am impressed.
Based on the number of negative reviews I was very worried when I saw xdp were delivering my package. Apparently true to form the tracking showed that the package was out for delivery today for a pm slot. Just checked again and it says the delivery was carded at 20:31 this evening. Given that no card had been posted through the doors, no bell ring or knock has occurred, and I have been sitting about ten feet from the front door all evening I would doubt that any delivery driver has even made it close to the house. This doesn't bode we'll does it...

Package now delivered - many thanks for your help today. The driver did attempt to deliver last night but couldn't find our house somehow, and actually carded the house opposite. We even saw a van go past but didn't know it was him and didn't see him stop or anything. Anyway, it's here now so thank you! Several e-mail messages received over the last couple of days telling me the delivery status of my consignment, including an estimated delivery time for yesterday afternoon. Driver arrived mid-afternoon and offered to take the heavy consignment of two items out to my rear garden where it was to be installed. This meant negotiating two parked vehicles and a 3-ft fence. He did it with ease and cheerfulness and placed the items on the garden side of the fence. I couldn't have asked for more and the driver was absolutely great - a real credit to XPD. It's such a shame that other clients have not shared my experience!
I've had the same experience as all the other posts, ordered from world stores on Wednesday 10th for delivery Friday 12th, took my existing bed down on Friday and have been sleeping on the floor ever since. The tracking info on Friday said at delivery depot, i rung the number all day and noone answered, it didnt arrive Friday. I spent all of Saturday trying to speak to someone at world stores and xdp, world stores will only deal with you via email after a sales been made and when I finally spoke to someone at xdp they said it won't be coming on a Saturday and from now on I need to speak to world stores as they're the customer not me!! Monday 15th, it finally says out for delivery pm slot, waited in all day and With a 20 month old this isn't fun! Again no show, at 7.30pm they updated tracking to say carded, which is a complete lie! And from reading other reviews it seems this is a common trick they play! Checked today and it says at depot again so it doesn't even look like its "out for delivery" today. Xdp emailed me yesterday saying it was out for delivery, they've not replied to my latest email informing them it didnt arrive, nor have world stores who also emailed saying it was out for delivery. So angry, I've got No bed and wasted days waiting, I think I'm just gonna instruct my credit card company to cancel the payment and shop somewhere more reliable. I still want the bed but I'd rather be able to go out and know next time I stay in i'll actually get my goods! I was giving it until the end of today but as it says at depot it's obviously not coming today. What I don't understand is why world stores claim they offer next day or selected day delivery service because when I've looked at xdp website it states for home deliveries it takes 3-5 days from when the company dispatch the items. So although I'm angry at xdp in equally angry at world stores because it was never going to be here on time! However I don't know why xdp lie and say its out when it isn't! I'd be much less angry if they'd just tell me an accurate day and time rather than keep wasting my time! I've took photos of everything, from world stores stating next day delivery to xdp stating 3-5 days, to all the tracking info and emails, and ill be informing watchdog.

I ordered a bed via Worldstores for a specific day to be delivered (Thursday 11th April) having ordered on the 9th April. Waited in all day and nothing arrived. Tracking page said it was a the delivery depot. Tried ringing the number it mentioned and nobody bothers to answer the phone. Took day off work on the Friday as thought it would be the following day, guess what, nothing arrived, dispite ringing the number numerous times during the day, again nobody bothers to answer. I guess someone is there as on some occasions I got the engaged to tone. False hope as kept trying only for it to ring and ring. Kind of knew something wouldn't happen over the weekend.
So Monday arrives, thought I'd have a laugh and check the tracking site. wow, its changed to 'Out for Delivery - Route 80 - PM Slot'..Now i've had to take another day off at short notice, can you imagine that my boss is quite happy with that.
Its now 18.30 and despite more phone calls nothing has arrived. Even had a call from Worldstores to say it'll be with me today and also they couldn't get through to XDP, guess they're looking at the same tracking page I am.
Actually starting feel sorry for all these companies using XDP for their logistics. Not only do they have a disgraceful way of doing their business but they are dragging companies like Worldstores down with them

UPDATE 16/04 - Time now 12.30, guess the morning phone call isn't going to happen - Consignment now back at the delivery depot. From a selfish perspective, not really interested in the stats of 11,000 consignments yesterday, the one stat I am interested in is the one that says 'I haven't got my delivery'
UPDATE 16/04 - Received phone call from Area Manager who then personally delivered the bed in the back of his car, so from that perspective he showed willingness to resolve the issue. Overall still not happy with the service, but on the flip side, I have my bed so thank you for dealing with the review.
Having ordered a new bed and mattress from Discount Furniture Store on Ebay two weeks ago, today my items finally arrived via Xdp. I haven't yet checked the contents as I had to return to work, but the boxes seemed OK (i.e. not too battered!).
Having received an email on Friday 12th from Xdp saying that my goods have arrived with them, I checked the tracking information. This stated that they were out for delivery, AM Slot. Great, I thought, as I'm at home all day today! Just to be safe though, I phoned the depot (Thetford) to pass my phone number to the driver as I know my house can be a bit of a pain to find. After several unanswered calls, I finally got through and the guy said he'd pass my number on. I also asked roughly when he thought it would be delivered, to which he replied probably between 11-1.
Fast forward to that night, still no goods and several more unanswered phone calls, the tracking had been changed to "carded" and my goods were back at the depot! I had received no card, or phone call.
Saturday I check the tracking again, and its changed to out for delivery, AM slot once again! Fantastic, I thought! My girlfriend is in all day today! I tried to phone to confirm this throughout the morning though, but just kept getting an answer-phone telling me their opening hours (which included 9-12 Saturdays). I left a message, and got no reply. That is when I found this website, and after reading the reviews on here I didn't hold out much hope of getting my new bed before the end of the month!
Then today arrives (Monday 15th). I check the tracking, which hasn't changed from Saturdays out for delivery, AM slot status. I thought I'd give them until lunchtime (as it did say AM slot still) before I phone and speak to nobody/answer phone once again. But at 10:20 this morning, a nice chap from Xdp phones ME! He's the delivery man, and can't find my house, so I arrange to meet him on a road nearby. He follows me back, finds my packages in the back of his van, and even helps me carry them upstairs in my house.
SO, although their customer service (answering phones, returning messages) and their "tracking system" (which doesn't seem to mean anything - why change the status to carded, when no card has been left?!) leave a lot to be desired, the politeness and helpfulness of the delivery man did go a fair way to rekindling my faith in this outfit.
I will edit this if their is any issues with any damage to my products, but as I stated earlier, the boxes seemed OK.

I specifically arranged for a Saturday AM delivery for which I paid an extra fee, through Wayfair.co.uk, for the delivery of a bed. I have not received the delivery and I have not received a card either, at 1pm. I have been sitting by the door all morning to ensure that I did not miss the delivery, and have received a text message confirming the AM delivery. At 12pm someone eventually answered the phone (after I called a number of times in order to get an estimated delivery time), who told me that it should have been here by now as the driver left at 9am this morning. He said he would ring me back, but has not in the last hour and nobody will answer the phone again, though I have called about twenty times now.
I am not able to take time off work to receive the delivery on another day, or I would not have bothered paying the extra fee for a Saturday morning delivery (I was assured it would be a morning delivery as I have commitments in the afternoon which resulting in financial loss if I do not attend). I will be seeking the repayment of this fee (luckily I paid by credit card which of course provides you with good recourse if services for which you have paid on it are not provided). I will also claim back the financial loss I have suffered this afternoon, as I will be staying in the house on the reasonable assumption that it may be delivered at some point today, and I paid the fee in reliance of the representation that it would be delivered today, at any point up to midday. Very, very unhappy with the service.
Also, it is not possible to leave a message with the answerphone, even though nobody will answer and nobody has called me back.

Waited 3 days for XDP to deliver our parcel. The driver came today and was disgusting. He was so rude it was unbelievable. He dropped the parcel in the conservatory and has broke the pool table inside. I tried phoning XDP but as usual they don't answer. If you are reading this Jennifer I would like you to ring my mother asap on the number I supplied you in the email.

EDIT: Yes I give the supplier a telephone number and yes the address was correct that I supplied him. I have deleted my initial review and I understand the rules. I am also tired of either you or another member of your company asking my mother to inform me to give a 5 star review. Do you honestly think after the way the driver spoke to my mother I would give a 5 star review? He damaged the parcel. The driver insisted that my mother who is an old lady and who has problems with her back to carry the 39kg pool table from his van. Idiotic.
I am waiting for a bed delivery. The depot is 45 mins away. I have been waiting for two days while my bed has been driven around the Greater Manchester area but apparently they ran out of time on Both days!! i am going away for the weekend and am back at work the best I have been offered is before 2pm tomorrow but quite frankly why should I believe anything they say? I think this is disgraceful service and no plausible excuse was given.

I was contacted yesterday am to say it was down for delivery. If you check it was actually on the van yesterday and again today so please don't try to fob me off with this response. I have told your man I will not be at home after mid morning as 2 days sitting around waiting is all I can allocate. i have told him I will ring at 8am and I expect a time that is acceptable. If the delivery was not made yesterday it SHOULD be first in the queue today and certainly tomorrow. I am very annoyed about all this. I even offered to come and collect it myself. Just diabolical.

Checked website frequently throughout day - no updates. Check again at 6pm and apparently the order was 'carded' at 1743. I've been home all day & there is definitely no card.
After 3 calls to the answer machine of this courier company - they never answered my call... They never returned any either.
I'm disgusted we've been charged £50 for this service! It's quite frankly diabolical.
