item arrived damaged

I had a hifi speaker sent on their 24hr service. The item wasn't packaged very well by the seller, I'll admit that. But the box must have been thrown around as the speaker is cracked on all corners. Looking on the net, it looks like they are known for damaging packages. I will never use them again.

Be warned - companies that use Yodel will loose business

Not even a real person on the phone. All automated. No timeslot given, no information. You just have to wait in from 7am to 9pm and thats it.

Other companies are miles better. Try using DPD, they do a one hour timeslot.

What a Experience give this service credit where it due

Excellent they keep you up to date with text massage and staff are friendly will recommend this company for all your deliveries

They don't know the concept of knocking

What did I have to do? Stand by the door for 6 hours and not move? I wasted a whole morning staying at home for my parcel (because they wouldn't tell me exactly when they were arriving with it) and they still managed to miss me.

I'm actually trying to understand the drivers' line of thought here. He arrives at my door step, writes a redelivery card with all of the details properly, posts said card to me and walks away with my parcel. Only to have to do the same thing the very next day (and I guess I'll have to keep vigil by the window tomorrow If I'm ever to see my parcel).

The other option would be: he raises his good arm, closes his fist on said good arm, makes a forward motion with it and hits the door a couple of times in order to make noises. A concept known by the whole of the civilised world as 'knocking'. Perhaps the driver didn't know such concept, we shall never know. It certainly impairs his job as a delivery man. But not all is lost. I assume he knows how to drive, which is a task infinitely more complex than knocking; so he could master knocking in no time at all with practice!

On the other hand, I'm happy that that was my bad experience with Yodel. Reading the other reviews and seeing that they lose parcels and dump them lying around in the rain, I guess I should count myself as lucky.

Once again another bad experience ! Please k&co/isme/very please stop using them!

Got an email from them on Saturday saying my parcel is out for delivery waited in till 9pm on the night and not delivery when i checked online is says i was not it at 8.40pm with no card left (not dumb i know courier drivers don't wok this late as I'm one my self on a larger scale)
Then today its out for redelivery they turn up at 9.09am (I'm at work) i phone the number thats been left on the card to tell him someone's in after three and he kindly said he will pop back about then, its now nearly 9pm and no parcel. I mean seriously whats the point to this company if there not going to work around the customers then they may as well shut up shop and do something else.

Please isme/k&co/very please use another courier service or allow more stuff to be done by collect plus please.

Never a good experience

Unfortunately i have had the displeasure of dealing with this delivery company on several occasions and had nothing but hassle with them on more than one occasion!
The most recent was a parcel being delivered to my home address when I was not in, most companies either make an attempt to deliver it to the neighbours or leave it in a safe place.
They did "attempt" to leave it in a safe place.... on my doorstep in plain view of everyone!

How very professional of them! I then received an email to ask me to rate my experience, i did so and never had a reply back.

I think this tells you something about this company straight away!

Incompetent idiots

I have waited all Saturday 29/03/2014 from 8am - 9pm as they stated for my parcel to be delivered, These people are idiots they should not be in business. cant get through on their automated service to speak to anyone. My parcel has been showing in transit for the last 3 days. WHERE IS MY PARCEL.

AVOID AVOID these people have no consideration and no customer service.

Non delivery plus mockery

This company is a joke. I've been waiting and waiting. Eventually, I checked online to see that my parcel was delivered to a ... neighbour. And then that they tried to deliver again (?) but couldn't reach me.
I called and they said they didn't have the house number. I gave it to them and they said they'd deliver next day. I took half a day off my job to be home to sign. Someone called me in the morning to ask me of the house number. I gave it to him (again). Late evening, tired of waiting I checked online only to see that ... I couldn't be reached. I called. They gave me the mobile number of the driver. He didn't pick it up. I called again. They told me to hold the line (on my mobile) and called him. They told me that ... he didn't have the house number !!! I said that I've given it twice. They said they didn't know who called me that morning. I asked why didn't the driver call me (since they had my number) when he ... found out that he didn't have the house number and they told me that he didn't have a company mobile to call, so more or less it was up to him and he chose not to. Obviously he didn't even try to deliver.
My house, by the way is very accessible on the main road of Harrogate and the house number easily seen from the road ...

Package first delayed with made-up excuse, only to realised it was lost

Online tracking system showed package was delayed with no further details. Called Yodel and was told its Vauxhall dispatch centre had an outage (whatever it meant) and package was guaranteed to be dispatched the next day. Waited for 2 days and called again, this time they said their system is out and that they couldn't reach anyone at the dispatch centre. They promise to call me back, but no communication so far. We raised it the seller and their response is that Yodel has lost the package. As far as we are concerned, Yodel lost our package and tried very hard to avoid responsibilities / be unresponsive. Seller has to send out a replacement package, hopefully not via Yodel this time.

Good polite service that delivered on time!

Yodel delivered on time for me on the day they specified on Amazon, so I have no complaints. Thank you yodel for a very good delivery.

they stolen my bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I could review on -1 THEN I COULD EXPRESS MABY A BIT WHAT I THINK ABOUT THIS COMPANY!
I PAIED FOR 2 DAYS DELIVERY, UNFORTUNATELY MY PARCEL AFTER COLLECTION STUCKT AT LOUGHBOROUGH SERVICE CENTER AND I NEVER GOT THAT PARCEL! I WOULD LIKE TO ADD THAT IT WAS FOLDING BIKE- 50CM LONG PARCEL, 15-17KG HEAVY!!! HOW THIS KIND OF PARCEL COULD DISSAPEAR??? WHAT I THINK IS THAT THEY STOLEN MY BIKE! I MADE A CLAIM VIA PARCEL2GO THAT MY PARCEL IS MISSING, GAVE THEM PHOTOS OF BIKE, MEASUREMENT, ALL INFORMATION, BUT THEY ANSWER THAT THEY CAN'T LOCATE MY PARCEL!!!! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!!!

Awful, do not trust them

Yodel attempted delivery and said on the card they would deliver the next day. I waited in all day and they didn't show. I said they could deliver the following day but MUST be after 5pm as I had already wasted one day. They attempted to deliver at 11pm and left card saying I must now go to their Depot to collect, miles and miles away. Cancelled the purchase with Ebuyer and sought a refund.

Terrible

We missed the delivery, so they left us a card saying it had been returned to the depot. I called up to rearrange a delivery, they said that it had actually been signed for by someone called "Kevin". I don't know any Kevins.

Tried to find a Kevin in the local area, I could not. Called up the next day, they said that it had not been delivered, but was on its way today. It did not arrive either that day, or the next.

In the end, the supplier had to send out another one. They used Yodel again. It still hasn't arrived, and it is two days late already.

Brilliant company, A+++++ would use again (if I wanted to return a parcel to my worst enemy)

No card drop ! Mobile contact that doesnt work ...

Email saying they attempted drop on Saturday afternoon and left a card....
No car card and delivery drivers number does not connect !

Dragging their feet on paying for damage

I ordered a shelf for my son's bedroom which Yodel delivered whilst we were out. We had left instructions for parcel to be left in (empty) dog kennel or if it was too big to put in the garage. We left the garage door unlocked. As it was, the parcel would have fit in the dog kennel, but anyway....
We arrived home to find our garage door hanging off the runners and inside the garage on top of our rowing machine. We had actually moved our other car out of the garage that morning as we knew we would be out a while and wanted it to look as though someone was in. Thank goodness we did, or the car would have been trashed!
Driver had left a calling card saying "Garage door fell on me".
We live in the middle of nowhere and the garage is a large double garage so the door is huge. We had to get it fixed as all our belongings were visible from the road. We don't think anything had already been taken, but we can't be sure. Had to call out garage door repair bloke, who was shocked at the state of the runners where they had been bent. He said the door would have had to be opened with a lot of force to do what it had done. Repair cost us £80. Yodel still haven't sorted anything. We can't speak to anyone on phone as people that deal with damage have no phone !!!! E-mails are ignored for ages and never acknowledged. Very angry that we are still out of pocket. Useless company. I do hope they will be getting back to us soon with a payment for the damage caused.

Worst courier out there, avoid like the plaque!

I buy a vast amount via the internet and Yodel is the only company that has never managed to deliver to me in a proper manner. I believe they throw away many parcels and then just say they have left them somewhere. I said, last time this happened, that I would go to Trading Standards as they seem immune and do not give a toss about their customers. Some one needs to take this company to task.

AVOID !!!!

I bought on-line a printer and it was dispatched on next day but I never got this. I contacted with seller and Yodel, then me and seller waited a few days for any response but we never got any explanation what happened. We checked an on-line tracker and we did know that the parcel was last time sorted in the hub store of Glasgow and then disappeared. I persuaded the seller to make a complain because only the seller is able to do this but again we never got any answer from deliverer. Of course the seller made a refund to me but it is not satisfactory of a solution the problem.

Similar problem was one year earlier with my new Nokia Asha plus full accessories pack ordered via O2. The parcel never found !!!

Cargo carrier companies exactly know that sellers sell on-line a huge numbers of stuff and when is in any problem with the parcel they prefer to refund money because it is easier than open any investigation (they would lost more time for investigation than make a refund). The customers are on the lost position from the beginning because customer can not open the investigation for lost parcel and transport companies use this circumstance (they call these STANDARDS!!!) to the cover-up of bad practices because sellers remit loss sustained.

What we as consumers can we do to change this?!?

THE WORST COMPANY EVER! VERY.COM NEED TO DROP THEM ASAP!!!!

if i could give -100000 stars i would. yodel need to BURN IN THE FIERY DEPTHS HELL!!!!!!!!!! they are the WORST company in the world! i have waited OVER a week for a delivery that was supposed to come next day!
apparently there was a problem with the address and instead of contacting me regarding this, they just decided to return it back to sender twice! a problem with the address that they delivered to the day before with NO problem!?
an address that I called to reconfirm on 2 occasions but because they are SOOOO INCOMPETENT they still failed to deliver!
AFTER ABOUT 10 different phone calls and correspondence with the twitter team who are also USELESS! On the day that my package DID (amazing) actually arrive I logged into their tracking system before hand and it was showing that it had been returned to sender! I called them and they told me the same thing - "sorry miss there's nothing we can do it has been returned to sender".
i basically had to tell them how to do their job and asked twice if they are looking at the right thing as my very account says that actually it's out for delivery, to be told no no no definitely looking at the right information. He then (after numerous "can i place you on hold") proceeds to say - " so im just looking at your account as there is no reason why your parcel shouldn't be delivered today as it says that your parcel is out for delivery"
Oh so you WERE looking at the wrong information.
In a nutshell YODEL are a bunch of INCOMPETENT PARASITES!!! BURRRRNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!

Appalling Don't think about using!!!!

Having spent 2 days waiting for a delivery, having given a contact telephone number and having lived in my house for the past 22 years, which is reliably served by any other delivery company you wish to name, it appears that my house is invisible to Yodel and cannot be located. Despite claiming to deliver until 9pm they seem to shut up shop at 6pm, the Yodel main office is unable to speak with anyone in the local branches so its own internal communications are bad - what hope is there for anyone else? Why any self respecting company that values its customers would use this shower is a mystery.
