We missed the delivery, so they left us a card saying it had been returned to the depot. I called up to rearrange a delivery, they said that it had actually been signed for by someone called "Kevin". I don't know any Kevins.
Tried to find a Kevin in the local area, I could not. Called up the next day, they said that it had not been delivered, but was on its way today. It did not arrive either that day, or the next.
In the end, the supplier had to send out another one. They used Yodel again. It still hasn't arrived, and it is two days late already.
Brilliant company, A+++++ would use again (if I wanted to return a parcel to my worst enemy)
I ordered a shelf for my son's bedroom which Yodel delivered whilst we were out. We had left instructions for parcel to be left in (empty) dog kennel or if it was too big to put in the garage. We left the garage door unlocked. As it was, the parcel would have fit in the dog kennel, but anyway.... We arrived home to find our garage door hanging off the runners and inside the garage on top of our rowing machine. We had actually moved our other car out of the garage that morning as we knew we would be out a while and wanted it to look as though someone was in. Thank goodness we did, or the car would have been trashed! Driver had left a calling card saying "Garage door fell on me". We live in the middle of nowhere and the garage is a large double garage so the door is huge. We had to get it fixed as all our belongings were visible from the road. We don't think anything had already been taken, but we can't be sure. Had to call out garage door repair bloke, who was shocked at the state of the runners where they had been bent. He said the door would have had to be opened with a lot of force to do what it had done. Repair cost us £80. Yodel still haven't sorted anything. We can't speak to anyone on phone as people that deal with damage have no phone !!!! E-mails are ignored for ages and never acknowledged. Very angry that we are still out of pocket. Useless company. I do hope they will be getting back to us soon with a payment for the damage caused.
I buy a vast amount via the internet and Yodel is the only company that has never managed to deliver to me in a proper manner. I believe they throw away many parcels and then just say they have left them somewhere. I said, last time this happened, that I would go to Trading Standards as they seem immune and do not give a toss about their customers. Some one needs to take this company to task. I bought on-line a printer and it was dispatched on next day but I never got this. I contacted with seller and Yodel, then me and seller waited a few days for any response but we never got any explanation what happened. We checked an on-line tracker and we did know that the parcel was last time sorted in the hub store of Glasgow and then disappeared. I persuaded the seller to make a complain because only the seller is able to do this but again we never got any answer from deliverer. Of course the seller made a refund to me but it is not satisfactory of a solution the problem.
Similar problem was one year earlier with my new Nokia Asha plus full accessories pack ordered via O2. The parcel never found !!!
Cargo carrier companies exactly know that sellers sell on-line a huge numbers of stuff and when is in any problem with the parcel they prefer to refund money because it is easier than open any investigation (they would lost more time for investigation than make a refund). The customers are on the lost position from the beginning because customer can not open the investigation for lost parcel and transport companies use this circumstance (they call these STANDARDS!!!) to the cover-up of bad practices because sellers remit loss sustained.
if i could give -100000 stars i would. yodel need to BURN IN THE FIERY DEPTHS HELL!!!!!!!!!! they are the WORST company in the world! i have waited OVER a week for a delivery that was supposed to come next day! apparently there was a problem with the address and instead of contacting me regarding this, they just decided to return it back to sender twice! a problem with the address that they delivered to the day before with NO problem!? an address that I called to reconfirm on 2 occasions but because they are SOOOO INCOMPETENT they still failed to deliver! AFTER ABOUT 10 different phone calls and correspondence with the twitter team who are also USELESS! On the day that my package DID (amazing) actually arrive I logged into their tracking system before hand and it was showing that it had been returned to sender! I called them and they told me the same thing - "sorry miss there's nothing we can do it has been returned to sender". i basically had to tell them how to do their job and asked twice if they are looking at the right thing as my very account says that actually it's out for delivery, to be told no no no definitely looking at the right information. He then (after numerous "can i place you on hold") proceeds to say - " so im just looking at your account as there is no reason why your parcel shouldn't be delivered today as it says that your parcel is out for delivery" Oh so you WERE looking at the wrong information. In a nutshell YODEL are a bunch of INCOMPETENT PARASITES!!! BURRRRNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!
Having spent 2 days waiting for a delivery, having given a contact telephone number and having lived in my house for the past 22 years, which is reliably served by any other delivery company you wish to name, it appears that my house is invisible to Yodel and cannot be located. Despite claiming to deliver until 9pm they seem to shut up shop at 6pm, the Yodel main office is unable to speak with anyone in the local branches so its own internal communications are bad - what hope is there for anyone else? Why any self respecting company that values its customers would use this shower is a mystery.
WOULD NOT USE OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE .SEND EMAILS SAYING THEY HAVE DELIVERED PARCELS WHEN THEY HAVE NOT.PHONED THEM AND THEY SAY THEY PUT THE PARCEL ON THE WRONG VAN, WHEN PARCEL TRACKER CHECKED IT WAS BACK IN THEIR DEPOT I HR AFTER BEING PUT ON THE VAN IN THE FIRST PLACE. WHAT A COMPANY ?????
Always left a card for attempted delivery! Maybe knock a little louder as i was 20ft from the door and a card appears i didnt hear?... Also the drivers i have dealt with can be rude and abrupt. Bad experience and service.
I would NEVER use Yodel - unfortunately Amazon do. Whenever I see that my order has shipped with Yodel, I give up hope of getting the Prime service I pay for. The amount of 'Attempted Delivery' tracking messages is just ridiculous - do their couriers ever deliver anything?!? The last 'attempt' says they left a card too - strange, as there was no card, and the courier must have run up the drive very fast as the CCTV didn't even see him!!
I paid for express delivery on an order from Amazon, and the seller has chosen to send the parcel with Yodel. Tracking shows it has been at my local depot, 1 mile from the delivery address, since 8th Feb. It then shows 'delivery not attempted' for several days (i.e. couldnt be bothered), followed by a 'weather delay' (weather here is fine), then 2 x 'delivery attempted, could not gain access'. Delivery is to my work place, their first 'no access' was due to attempting to deliver at 8pm (not in business hours despite company name being clearly indicated), the second was 4.30pm and I know they didn't try as I was covering the reception desk at the front of the building all afternoon and no vehicles came into our car park!! Their 'live chat' has been particularly unhelpful too, just saying 'sorry we'll get it there when we can'. No definite answers, no sincere apology and no compensation/gesture of goodwill offered. Shocking customer service. It is now 13th Feb, and still no sign of my 'express delivery'.
Received a parcel to day from yodel . It was delivered by a very happy delivery driver. It arrived early and with a smile. Thank you yodel for a very good delivery, keep up the good work, I will recommend you to my friends and family. It was delivered to my work in Canterbury .
I am genuinely surprised by the awful and negative reviews that have been left by people on here.
The guys at Yodel do exactly what is asked of them. They provide a delivery service and when doing so, I've only ever encountered extreme politeness and friendly couriers. My parcels have always arrived in time and in pristine condition.
I honestly don't know what more they are expected to do?
I'm also a firm believer of speak how you wish to be spoken too. I can only assume that those complaining about the attitude of the couriers, have probably been very rude to them!!
Utter, unmitigated crap. Always an issue, never straightforward. From leaving a card saying I'd missed a delivery (when I was at home and turned out the delivery was for someone else) to simply delivering to the wrong address and then denying it, everything they touch turns to ashes. Customer service? Risible, they don't give a shi7.
Main problem is that although I'd never select them for my delivery many suppliers do (because of bulk discounts) so there's no way of avoiding them until it's too late. I've taken to avoiding those suppliers who use Yodel and telling them why I've stopped ordering from them.
YODEL DEFINITELY HAVE TO BE THE WORST DELIVERY SERVICE IN THE UK. THERE HAVEN'T BEEN ONE TIME THEY HAVE SURPRISED ME AND ACTUALLY DELIVERED MY PARCEL. TODAY HAS TO BE THE ICING ON THE CAKE. MY PARCEL APPARENTLY WAS POSTED THROUGH MY LETTER BOX BUT OBVIOUSLY THAT WOULD BE TO SIMPLE. SO NOW I'M LEFT WITH NO PARCEL AND HAVING TO DO MY OWN RUNNING AROUND AFTER I PAID FOR THIS SERVICE. THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER CARE AND VERY INCOMPETENT OF DOING THEIR JOB. VERY UNHAPPY, I THINK THEY'RE DISGRACEFUL
I observe that Yodel is policing these reviews, which can make it near impossible to fully express your experiences because they can find any 'reason' to remove your review... so if you are a dissatisfied customer and you're about to leave your own negative review, take care how you write it -- no bad language (even though their lack of service might drive you to foul language) and take care you don't give names and take care who you make any references to!!! Not really FREE COMMUNICATION, I know!
It is now the 10th of January and I am still awaiting delivery of a child's Christmas present which I purchased at the beginning of December!!! How do you tell a child that Santa's helpers are liars and irresponsible??? Actually, the seller booked the courier service via an online courier agent known as Connect something or other (a courier agent simply passes your parcel onto the likes of Yodel -- they take your money and pass the book -- they're not couriers, themselves).
The tracking number gimmick is just that... a sales gimmick! It promises that you are able to monitor the progress of your parcel, but in fact, you're just reading online lies! When I went online to "track" my parcel, it said there had been numerous (about 10) "Attempted Deliveries," however, when it came to light it was just Yodel's local depot pressing computer keys, reporting they'd "attempted" delivery when they couldn't be bothered to deliver -- they had been nowhere near my property... no calling card, no phonecalls nor emails, nothing! I notice from other reviews that this is common practice in Yodel's depots throughout the country.
The local depot initially claimed they had an incorrect address but it transpired that they were only missing the name of the lane... if you have the first line of an address and a postcode, then you have the address!!! ANY REAL COMPANY KNOWS THIS... EVEN THE COURIER'S IN-CAR SAT-NAV CAN GET HIM TO HIS DELIVERY DESTINATION WITH THIS INFO!!!
OVER THE PAST SEVERAL WEEKS, I have now had 9 conversations with Yodel. My parcel sender, himself, has also made 5 calls to Yodel's agent, Con something or other Plus. Each time, we have been fobbed off with empty promises and still no parcel from both call centres! Yodel's call centre staff make promises that they, themselves have zero responsibility in carrying through -- they promise to call you back, but they never do; they promise to get the local depot to call you back and they never do. I called 3 times on Christmas Eve morning, alone, with a view to coordinating my driving to the local depot to collect the Christmas present, myself, each time being told by Yodel's call-centre to call back after such and such a time, etc. and when I called back the 3rd time that morning (as I had been told to), I was then informed that I could not collect the parcel because the local depot will be leaving at noon for Christmas... A PARCELS DELIVERY SERVICE, LEAVING EARLY AT THEIR BUSIEST TIME OF YEAR -- NOT EVEN A PUBLIC HOLIDAY???
So now, almost 3 weeks after Christmas, and almost 6 weeks after the initial parcel collection from the sender, still NO PARCEL!!!
Finally, as of 2 days ago, this case has been escalated to Yodel's management team and I was told by them, "I cannot believe you have had to make 8 phonecalls before the case was escalated... it should have been escalated much earlier!" This individual is obviously working for the wrong company... she cares too much! She seemed to finally understand a customer's frustrations... but let's see if it's all talk... that was 2 days ago and I am still waiting for my parcel!!!
YODEL, CUSTOMERS ARE YOUR LIFE-LINE AND SO IF YOU HAVE ANY SLIGHT SENSE OF CARE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS, YOU WOULD START PENALISING YOUR DEPOT MANAGERS FOR FAILED DELIVERIES!!!! YOU SHOULD BE CHANNELLING YOUR ENERGIES TOWARDS PROVIDING SERVICE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS IN STEAD OF PAYING WAGES TO A STAFF TO SIT HERE TO POLICE THESE REVIEWS -- SEEKING EXCUSES TO REMOVE NEGATIVE REVIEWS, WHICH YOU ARE EVIDENTLY DOING RIGHT NOW!!!!
The self employed Yodel Courier who delivers in Gateshead (NE8) Area, phoned me on New Years Eve and called me a stupid fat Ba****d and that he was going to get me! This was because I had the cheek to phone him and ask what he has done with my parcel. I have been complaining about this driver for months, nothing has been done. It all started when he all of a sudden stopped delivering my parcels to my door and just started delivering them all over my street but not putting a card through my door to tell me where he had left them, tracking on the websites indicated my parcels had been delivered and signed for by me, which they weren't, so as far as I was concerned this has been going on for 7 months, Yodel has not done a darn thing in this matter, yet am paying for next day delivery services which I don't get and I get verbally abused in the long run....Yeah great service you supply Yodel....NOT!
I organised for a parcel to be collected by Yodel through Parcel2go last Monday. This parcel contained 2 x wedding dresses belonging to my customers (I own a bridal shop) The parcel was collected on Monday 2nd December, should have been delivered to me on Tuesday 3rd. Followed tracking and all it had was parcel collected - I contacted Parcel2go - no help whatsoever, I contacted them every day last week - eventually the tracking showed the parcel arrived at Manchester Service Centre on 6th December. Still not delivered. I have then contacted every day this week to no avail. Not helpful at all. Eventually got to talk to an actual person at Yodel today, but she cannot really help me. This is causing a lot of distress to me and even more so to my customers. I now down't know what to do. I am quite prepared to go to the service centre and look myself, but no one will tell me where it is or how I can get in touch with them. I don't know what else to do. Parcel2go have basically not tried to help and won't do anymore.
We ordered a company laptop from ebuyer and paid extra for next day delivery. It didn't arrive next day - OK, annoying but not the end of the world and it is a busy season. After 4 days of the item not being delivered i called the number - no answer. Live chat? offline permently. So I resorted to twitter.
The yodel twitter replied almost instantly saying they would speak to the depot and get back to me - but they never did. In the end i tweeted eBuyer and complained - they chased it and said the parcel had been lost and i would need to fill in a claim form to get a replacement.
I went through the hoops and completed the form and it was promptly sent out again ...using YODEL :(.
The replacement item is currently in the depot (the same one that "lost" the first laptop) with a delivery date of today. They have about 2 hours for it to leave the depot and get to the office otherwise this will be another late/none existent delivery.
Originally ordered the laptop for the 5th of December delivery...
I received a message telling me that a parcel of mine would be delivered today and containing a reference number. I went onto their website to track my parcel but it didn't provide me with any details. I then called their customer service line and was told the parcel can be delivered a time up until 9pm. I explained that my mother has been admitted to hospital with kidney failure so I would appreciate it if they can give an indication of delivery time. They said they can't. They also said that the drivers are not provided with mobiles so would have to use their own phone if they were to let me know when they'd deliver. If I can't receive the parcel today, they'll try again tomorrow and Friday but again they can't give me an indication of the time, it could be anytime up until 9pm. I can't wait around for them for a whole day. Do they not realise we hpave other things to do - in. My case go to the hospital. My parcel is important so I can't allow them to leave it outside. Their service is terrible. I'm so frustrated with them. DPD in the other hand are also delivepring to me today. They have text me to say they'll be with me between 12.30 and 1.30pm. I have never been disappointed with DPD. How can they provide such a great service and Yodel not be able to match this quality? Never use them!
