Lost It...

I ordered some items from Firetrap via their online store during a Friends and Family sale they were having, and selected Expedited Delivery (1-2 working days) as a delivery option. The next working day morning I received an email from Firetrap informing me that my parcel had been despatched, and I assumed I'd be receiving it the following day.

A couple of days later still nothing had turned up, and when I tried to track it via Yodel's website I got an error message for my item code. Eventually, after speaking with Firetrap customer services a couple of times, I discovered that Yodel had lost my parcel and I would be receiving a refund on my order. They just lost it.

So I've missed out on the items, missed out on the sale price, and I will definitely be avoiding online vendors who use Yodel in future. This close to Christmas, it's just not worth the risk that my gift orders might not turn up. I read from a previous poster that this is the rebranded version of DHL (who've been bought out by someone else), which explains why so many online stores now seem to be using them as there's not really an alternative with the same capacity. Still, I for one will be looking elsewhere where possible.
