Great app, able to scan items get price, then sell them.Very easy to use and plenty of free collect and drop off places nearby.I would use this service and company again and the payment was quick and was informed as to how order was doing when received and when cheque was been processed etc.
Good serivice althhough had to wait a bit for cheque to arrive.
It was very easy to enter books on their system and price was good for most odd books that I had collected over he years. Got the final payment as promised.
Firstly, they took 10p off (I think) every item. This was for unspecified damage. It was suggested this was for broken cases or disc scratching, but the items I sent were in good condition. A bit strange that everything was deemed damaged in some way. It's enough to make you think they do it to everyone. After all, a few 10ps lost by the customer, but if you have a lot of customers it all adds up nicely. I have never experienced this with Amazon.
Then, after two weeks from receiving the confirmation email, still no cheque. My email enquiry was handled quickly, and the promised cheque appeared.......six days later.
So they skim money off the value of your trade-in, and then delay paying you for as long as possible.
No thank you.
Scanned books & dvd's using my phone, which made it soooo easy.
Sending the items was easy.
Payment took forever. I was emailed to say my cheque had been sent. Waited 14days, didn't arrive. Emailed them, they re-issued another, it came 10days later. Would be so much easier for them to send the payment through BACS. That is the only bit letting them down.
Very friendly, had to email about a missing item and there were no issues with this, they seemed to appreciate me contacting them first. Quite fast but would've liked my cheque quicker, but only due to personal circumstances. Overall experience selling to Zapper: very good!!!
Having used a number of alternative sites, I have to say I found Zapper to be the most efficient. Turnaround of my sale was prompt and I received a cheque within the timescales promised. Highly recommended.
Takes in all sorts of books even older editions although at a low price.
I wasn't sure what to do about the fact that I didn't have a box, so I used a carrier bag instead. It was all fine.
The collection point was a short walk away, but fortunately, my dad doesn't have much to do at the moment, so it was a pleasant enough walk for him.
It would be great if I could get rid of a lot more of my stuff. It seems you won't accept the rest.
I had a lot of DVD films that I could not sell individually on a well known auction site, so I found zapper.
I was very pleased with prices offered and it was so easy to use the site. Taking the boxed DVDs to my local pick up point was easy too.
I sent over 50 DVDs into this place almost two months ago. They have supposedly posted me a cheque twice but still no sign of it. They won't send me the payment electronically but keep re-checking my address. Seems like a total scam to me. I should have taken the DVDs to my local charity shop instead.
I'd recommend Zapper to anyone wanting to have a clear out. The website is easy to use and the service is excellent and very professional. We got emails to let us know when our cheque was in the post and good follow up. Also there are so many drop off points it was hassle free!
I used Zapper for the first time and I was a little sceptical if I would get the amount stated for my DVD'S but Zapper paid the exact amount and kept me up to date on the process right up to receiving my cheque, unlike similar companies that that didn't pay anything like the stated amount.Would definately recommend Zapper if you want some extra cash for your unwanted items.
Excellent experience all round. Accepted more items than expected and paid a lot higher than Music Magpie in almost all cases. Sent the items free via collect plus and got notified immediately on their arrival at zapper. Then the cheque arrived very promptly. Highly recommended and way better than MM.
The amount received is not massive but it's a good way to make a little bit of money from unwanted items in the house. The fact that the parcel is free to send makes it better than other methods and I got my cheque quickly with no problems at all. I would certainly use it again.
Unfortunately, there's no option for paying in by BACS, so you have to wait for a cheque. Also unfortunate is that they claim they didn't get several CDs and others they reduced. Plus we had to walk the heavy boxes down to our nearest posting point, which wasn't really close. Another popular trade-in offers courier pick up and bank payment - and no deductions from them either.
All in all, I did get some money, site wasn't difficult to use and they did keep me informed via email. I'd likely go with the other site for future trade ins though for the reasons mentioned above.
Prices are compatible wiv other companies and took more DVDs / CDs than other companies. Good cust service informed every step if the way. Wud use again. Parcel dropped at collection point so don't have to wait in no probs start to finish
