I've bought countless DVD's and Blu Ray's from Zoverstocks, always via Amazon.co.uk. Needless to say, they're my favorite sellers. They always have some of the lowest prices on the site and are one of the few sellers who ship to Denmark.
The DVD's/Blu Ray's are sometimes like brand new and i've never experienced recieving one that didn't work or looked worn out. The few times where i didn't recieve my order, or in one instance were the Blu Ray case had been ruined, probably during shipping, they refunded the money almosy immediatley.
I have absolutley no complaints and will keep buying from Zoverstocks in the future :)
I ordered a box-set DVD from Zoverstocks which turned up promptly. However, a couple of the discs were faulty & wouldn't load. I reported it immediately to Zoverstocks and their initial reaction was great. They offered a replacement box set & told me to just dispose of the original. After about 10 days, the replacement hadn't been received so I contacted them. They explained that things sometimes get delayed in the post so I should leave it a little longer. It is now over 3 weeks since 'despatch' of my replacement, but has still not been received. Worst of all, Zoverstocks now just ignore my emails, leading me to believe that no replacement product was ever sent.
I ordered a number of DVDs from them through Amazon.co.uk whereof one was only playable within USA and Canada. It even states on the cover that it may only be sold within those countries. Nevertheless they sold it in Europe. I have since then (3 weeks ago) tried to reach them four times by email without any reply.
I also checked the box for economic delivery but still got 9 packages for each DVD, with delivery prices higher then the DVDs themselves, which means that these used DVDs ended up being quite expensive. Will never buy from them again and would not recommend them to anyone.
I ordered an 8 disc dvd set from Zoverstocks, and received just a single disk from the set. After getting back to their Customer Services dept I was promised a re-shipment. When this arrived it was, again, a sigle disk, the same one that I received in the original shipment. So, back to the customer services Dept. They've offered me a refund, but I don't want that, I want my original order. They have now stopped responding to my emails.
Customer services staff in general (with 1 exception) don't seem to have the slightest clue as to how to respond to a disgruntled customer. I guess the company doesn't really care about losing customers, otherwise they wouldn't allow this fiasco to continue. Give them a miss if you can!
I can't see what the problem is here. Everytime I go onto Amazon to buy a CD or DVD I end up buying it from zoverstocks because it's super cheap! I receive the product pretty quickly, and in very good condition (considering it's a used product). I've not once had any issues with zoverstocks not sending me the thing I've bought. I find them very reliable and unbeatable value. Where else can you buy DVDs and CDs fo literally £0.01? How about two box sets for £5? Not even ebay can compete with that, and it's a lot easier too. Fantastic! Until I have a problem with them, I'll always recommend and continue to use them.

Have ordered many items from zoverstocks and always had great service. Just ordered three more DVD's as a matter of fact.
I ordered and paid for a dvd for my baby sister last year, never got it and never got my money back! THIS IS A SCAM!!
I ordered a DVD for my son for Christmas which didn't arrive. The only good thing about the experience was that I ordered through Play Trade. I tried three times to contact Zoverstocks, but to no avail. Eventually, Play.com flexed their muscles and my money was refunded. I shan't bother with Zoverstocks again and I cannot recommend them to anyone.
A lot of these negative reviews refer back to December - might it not be that a lot of the responsibility lies with Royal Mail whose delivery service was absolutely shocking over that period. I know because I sent two recorded items via 1st class and one of them took TWELVE days to arrive, while the other more important one didn't arrive at all.
It's true that zoverstocks should have responded to customer enquiries but i get the feeling the company isn't structured to answer individual queries. Like elitedigital on amazon, they offer a competent service so long as nothing puts a fly in the ointment - such as the aforesaid Royal Mail. As for the multiple feedback, people who have a good experience do tend to order in bulk, as their prices are often the cheapest.
Ordered a dvd on 5th December and saw it had apparently been dispatched on the 8th.
By 20th when it hadnt arrived i contacted them and was told to leave it 19 days after dispatch date? Who on earth would take that long delivering an item within the UK even at Christmas?? It obviously never arrived and 5 emails later...nothing..they havent even bothered replying! Have e mailed play.com but from what i can see they will say they hld no responsibility. I then looked at the reviews for today, 15th Jan 13 and see some of the good reviews have been left multiple times by the same people!! One 'customer' has managed to leave 50 plus reviews!!! Cooking the books to get the best results.
Will never use zoverstocks or play.com again. Am actually looking into the small claims court as it appears they keep getting away with this time and time again!!!
Had to give one start to be able to post the review!!
I ordered a dvd for xmas present on the 6th dec, i got a confirmation that it had been posted on the 9th, it is now the 28th still no dvd. I emailed a couple of time got the same response with a different persons name at the end(automated me thinks). This is the worst company i have had the misfortune to deal with they would have got no stars but i had to put at least one. I think the good reviews are by the imbecieles that run the so called company. As all the real reviews have the same experience. I dont usually write reviews but felt compelled this time avoid at all costs
I ordered a dvd for a christmas present on the 2nd dec, it was dispatched (apparantly) on the 5th Dec, it has still not arrived today (27th Dec), I have emailed them 8 times, they have sent the same standard reply each time about the weather affecting delivery times (not with any other product that I have ordered or other items for xmas post). Play.com have contacted them for me and they have been ignored. I have a disappointed child due to no product, but have got a refund from play.com. I am totally shocked by Zoverstocks customer services (or lack of it) and will never use this company again. I would definitely flag up immense caution to anyone else purchasing from them - they show no inclination to help the customer or even try to sort out reasonable queries. An appalling service from Zoverstocks.
i will never order from this company again,i have been waiting three weeks for my cd to arrive, they were quick enough to take my money, only two days after ordering. after my initial "e"mail informing them of non delivery, all other contacts have been ignored.my advice "dont deal with them",its not worth the hastle.
Have used zoverstocks before ok, but NEVER again. Customer service does not exist as twice they sent the wrong cd (same one each time) I returned both, only to be told I was experiencing a postal display - which was not the case. Rachael (sic) in customer services lost interest, and I have no cd. Don't waste your money pay a little more and get what you want. I can't be bothered getting a refund as it was not a lot of money, but BE WARNED.
Delivery didn't show up. All my attempts to contact zoverstocks have been ignored. I have contacted them three times over the last month. Play.com, which were hosting the sale, have tried to get them to contact me, but still silence. They are now tryign a second time. I have bought stuff from zoverstocks before and the items showed up as planned. With that in mind, I have no reason to doubt that they actually posted the order before withdrawing money from my credit card, so I don't think they're running a scam as such. I just think that they're very very bad at handling customer service. If this is caused by lack of talent or by lack of caring, I can not say. But I have bought my last item from zoverstocks, and I suggest that everybody else pay the extra coppers and deal with someone else.
After using zoverstocks many times I eventually gave up, to the point where I'll happily pay the extra 10p-50p to go to the next seller on the list. Problems usually centre around slow delivery, items not being in stock at all, or items not being as described (they list everything as 'very good' condition). Slow response to emails too. Avoid.
I always go to zoverstocks for my dvd's due to the price and the condition but where it does fail is delivery time. A shame otherwise it would of been a 5 star company.
Bought a dvd and it arrived faulty. They "said" they sent out another (they just happened to have another rare disc?) but nothing arrived
after one month I have no disc (as they asked for it back) and no replacement. They said a full refund had been issued but none came though and they stopped replying to emails. I have taken out a money claim online action against them plus costs just on principle as they are rip off merchents!!
had emails from "rosie" and "sarah" in customer service but of course they only reply once......

Zoverstocks is truly a dream seller for a music collector. They have practically every CD you could ever want, and at the lowest prices. Items arrive in either very-good or like-new condition. I'm very pleased with their service.
Well to be honest I've only ever used them once - However the CD never arrived. I asked them via e-mail and they responded about a week later and admitted it might be lost in the post. They refunded me for the item however.
Perhaps I just got unlucky (things DO unfortunately get lost in the post afterall, hence the 2 star rating rather than one...), however the slow response to my query really made me feel at the time like I was never going to see my money ever again.
Calling EVERYTHING 'Used - Very Good' as the item condition makes me feel very wary of the company also. I for one wont be using them again
I use Zoverstocks regularly to buy secondhand CDs, usually through Amazon links. I have never had a bad disc and the turnround time has always been excellent. My used CD supplier of choice.
I have used Zoverstocks alot this year and have never had any trouble. They trade on Amazon as Zoverstocks, but are actually music magpie, the second hand CD and DVD trade-in website. Of all the titles I have bought from them only twice has there been a problem and both times I got a replacement. Yes, they do just happen to have another rare copy of a CD, because people are selling their old collections in their droves whilst money is tight and it's all been ripped to itunes. So I get to buy lots of CD's for £1.27 (inc postage). That's correct CD's and DVD's for 1p!
I have ordered a Call of duty-game from them once and it came in the state written on Amazon: perfect! So all in all... spotless.
I have ordered a second game and hope it arrives in the same condition.
I have ordered about 60-70 items from Zoverstocks over the last 18 months, and they have been consistently excellent over that period. I have had a couple of problems (mainly damaged cases) but they just either send another one out, or make a full or partial refund of the purchase price. They do take a bit longer to deliver as they are sent second class but you can't really complain when the purchase prices are so low. Very prompt at answering emails via the amazon system. Highly recommended!
I have ordered hundreds of CD's from this company at ridiculously low prices. Maybe 2 or 3 problems out of hundred(s) of transactions. Great track record. They refund promptly as well.
Utterly the worst company ive ever ordered from, correct cd case turned up with wrong cd inside, A lot of emails later and they are still asking me to wait for the item to arrive and they apologise for the delay!!! Ive explained twice in long emails what the problem is and they are just too incompetent to sort it out.NEVER AGAIN.
Now you might not have heard of zoverstocks. However if you use Amazon or Play a lot and buy used music from them then you most certainly will. I tend to buy a lot of my CD's second hand as I don't see the point in buying a new CD that plays exactly the same which is in the same condition for double the price. You can buy CD's as cheap as a few pence from them in great condition. Postage is competitive - at time of writing I think it is about £1.26 per CD so you can buy a CD for less than a couple of quid postage included. Postage is usually very quick and reliable and I have bought a lot of music from these guys and not had one of them go missing yet. Based on my experience I will continue to use them. They also do new CD's as well at good prices.
