Prior to the hire period I rang a couple of times to check details (insurance, delivery & so on) and spoke to someone straight away who was friendly and helpful. The online booking process was faultless as was the email confirmation at every stage. The lens was delivered safely and in the time given by the courier. A quick check confirmed all was well before heading off on holiday. The lens performed perfectly throughout the hire period (wish I could say the same about my photography skills!) so had no reason to contact the office. Another email duly arrived reminding me the time to send it back was approaching with a reminder of what to do. The courier collected once again within the agreed time, more emails confirming the lens had safely returned then finally that it had been checked and all was well. If the service could be improved I don't know how! No hesitation in highly recommending Lenses for Hire.
They offered a price £60 lower than another competitor, helped me to get the right (caravan) tyres on the phone and then organised the fitting at a very local service centre who were ready and did everything needed - the whole process was easy and like clockwork.
Have used Amazon on many, many occasions over several years and never had cause to complain. Yes, I have had a couple of issues, items damaged or not as described, but Amazon's response and service to resolve these few issues has been exemplary. (Worth noting most of my issues have been due to the carrier or the vendor, not Amazon). Can't recommend them highly enough - Amazon is my first port of call for anything I need.
