I had a very pushy guy come to my door from ADT Security. I asked directly if it was a sales call and was told 'not at all' but then launched into his spiel about how he wanted to provide a security assessment as there were a lot of burglaries in the area. He wouldn't confirm or not if it had been instigated by the council or the police - I checked and it wasn't. Seems to be a scare tactic, clearly WAS a sales call. Also no email address on ADT's website - in order to provide feedback have to register ALL my personal details include phone number - yeah right. Certainly won't be using this company!
I am trying to buy maternity clothes and as Next don't seem to offer any in their shops I went online. I placed the order specifying I did NOT want a catalogue, then I went through to the payment pages it had automatically added one and then there was no way whatsoever to remove it. I tried to place the order on the phone and they insist on a credit check - seeing as I wanted to pay on the phone and not open a credit account this seemed completely unnecessary. Will be shopping for my maternity clothes elsewhere after such a waste of my time.
I feel very let down that Home Retail Group are not honouring basic commitments to the quality of products sold before acquisition of the Habitat shops in London. I would have thought it should have been a legal obligation of taking over the brand - not to mention selling the exact same products - that they look after past customers.
I paid over a thousand pounds for a sofa from the Tottenham Court Road shop in March 2011 which is now faulty, but when I rang the shop they would not help me as apparently Home Retail Group will have nothing to do with products sold before their takeover. And yet the very same sofa is still in the shop! I certainly won't shop at Habitat again.
