They put out a Groupon offer for Denon NC-600 Noise Cancelling Headphone and they had no stock!!!!
No way to run a business. They deserve to go bust.
Another week waiting and still no headphones. I've told them to cancel the order - let's see what happens.
I stumbled across premier Ink and Photographic two years ago and have been using them ever since for my photographic accessories. They have never let me down over the phone or the internet. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and go out of their way to get stuff posted even when the orders come in late in the day. My last encounter was in September when I needed a new bag urgently. They let me play in their shop with their bags and my kit until I found the bag that was right for me. They are not always the cheapest but the level of service they offer I am always happy to go back and would definitely recommend them.
I came across Memory for less via Froogle. At first I was quite wary because I could find out little about them and soon realised that it was just once trading name among many for the same organisation. They had a phone number however and it was answered promptly, courteously and with helpfully. E-mails to them were also answered quickly. So I decided to take a gamble and ordered a £320 portable media player from them, helped by the fact that they took PayPal which offered me a little more protection. I took the standard delivery option - 3 to 5 days by Royal Mail and received the player next day by courier.
Overall - delighted and would certainly consider them again.
I'm just back from a 10 day photo safari in Kenya. I hired a Canon 500mm f4 and a 1.4X Extender for the trip to supplement my own gear since I can't justify the £6K purchase price for the use they would get. The process couldn't be simpler. Prices, which include all-risks insurance, are very reasonable. The kit arrived spot on time, superbly pacakaged, with comprehensive indtructions and fully functional. Sending them back was easy too.
I'm delighted; they lived up to every expectation and I would have no hesitation using them again or recomending them.
Really surprised to see I'm the first to rate John and Nadine Wright's company, Photographers on safari.
I've done several days with them on workshops in the UK, getting privileged access to big cats in wildlife parks. They do many overseas trips too, such as Alaska, Montana, Camargue, Sri Lanka.
I've just returned from a 10 day safari in Kenya with 6 others. Long hours to get the best of the light and the area but superbly organised and great food. The group was of mixed ability - from beginners to nationally known, award-winning wildlife photographers. John is astonishingly patient with beginners and helps them get the very best out of even simple cameras.
If you're thinking of taking up wildlife photography or want to join a group on one of those holiday-of-a-lifetime trips to watch bears fishing for salmon or leopards and cheetah in the wild then Photographers on Safari would be worth considering.
It's rare to come across the standard of service I have just had from Clever Boxes. The laptop I wanted was not in stock and their supplier couldn't source it over a month but that didn't stop them. Within 4 hours they had found one and kept it on hold for me for 24 hours.
So it cost me a few quid more than the cheapest price on Froogle but for that service I'll happily pay.
I'll be back!
OneStop Digital does everything it says. All my e-mails were answered promptly, comprehensively and curteously. Couldn't ask for more pre-sale. Post sale they were just as good. Despite the ash cloud fiasco their carrier DHL got the goods to me very quickly. Couldn't be happier. No VAT. No Import Duties - just as promised.
