Flights and hotel booked on our emigration to Australia with a stop off in Kuala Lumpur for our honeymoon, 1st off the agents did not know about the forrest fires in Sumatra which were causing health problems in KL and that this kind of pollution happens every year so very stressful for us thinking we had to spend our honeymoon in a smoke filled environment or pay to fly elsewhere. 2nd as we were arriving at KL airport when talking to the air stewards they asked where we were staying for our honeymoon and we showed them our booking which stated that we were staying in Penang not Kuala Lumpur, never having been to this part of the world we would not have realised that the 2 were hundreds of miles apart, so we had a very stressful 2/3 stuck in the airport trying to get hold of Travel nation to confirm where the hell our hotel actually was. Luckily it was in KL but for some reason they decided to put the address for a hotel in Penang on our booking!! Eventually we arrived at our 5 star hotel for our honey moon in the Bukit Bin-tang area only to find we were booked into a dump! if our room scrapped 2 stars I would have been surprised and it was a smoking room where I requested NO SMOKING as we cannot stand the smell. Being so shattered and stressed from the previous challenges at the airport we decided to get some sleep for the night and send a few emails to Travel nation regarding the hotel where I was told to complain to the hotel reception, I did complain the following day and we were moved to a nicer room than previous but not a 5 star by any means and this time it did not smell of cigarettes it only smells of mould and it is a very bad smell. But we re so disappointed with the whole experience I refuse to complain again to the hotel again as it is clear they are not a 5 star establishment by any means and it would be hard to blame them.
Other than the above the staff were nice to talk to at Travel nation when we were in the Uk and the price was the best we received but getting cheeper price is not necessarily better as we have learned the hard way.
