faulty goods, returned goods, no refund

I bought a Sumvision media player from them, I received it , but it was faulty when playing. I got in touch with them, they said return the item, and they gave me a freepost address to send the item back to, so I sent off the item. Several weeks passed, and I still never heard about a refund, so I e-mailed them, they said that they never got the returned item. They told me to claim off the post office, why should I have to do that, it was their returns, it was not postage that I was selling to a customer, it was their responsibility , not mine, and now I am out of pocket to the cost of the media player £40, they have got their money for the goods, and now they will probably sell the goods again to another unsuspecting customer, how do they get away with it...If I had it all to do again, I should have read the reviews, as there are people who have been using this shop for years, and now they are getting ripped off,just like me. So don't think that it will not happen to you, as it just might, is it worth the hassle, quite honestly, NO, it isn't

can't make my mind up

I think that I have only made about 3 purchases, and I have had to cancel one, as you never had the item, and now I have bought 2 items, and you have not got them in stock. What can I say really, its a bit hit and miss at the moment
