I did a test about 4 months ago and hired someone in India to write 50 positive reviews on a random site. It only costed <$50 and the reviews are still here today. The statistics can be easily manipulated. Very poor review quality control, in my opinion. Legal or not, people do it, and there are many of them. They know you can't catch them because the system is flawed. They know you can't catch them because you haven't got the resources or ability to do it. The risks to them are low, but the gains are huge because only a handful of fake reviews are enough to fool a plethora of consumers.
Anyway, this review might be deleted soon since I'm exposing something quite fatal.

They'd try to find every opportunity to make you pay extra, including giving you only 5secs to try to fit your handheld luggage inside the measurement rack!

Firstly thank you for bringing this to our attention,
Our review platform expects and in most cases receives honest, genuine feedback.
All reviews on Trustpilot are automatically monitored and we also frequently check domains manually. I can't say why the reviews you refer to were not picked up by our system, but if they have been posted under the circumstances you mention, I am sure that by doing a manual check it would be very obvious that they are not genuine - and would be removed immediately.
Please be advised that in addition to being a violation of our terms of service and an unethical practice, it’s also a violation of the law to post fake reviews in the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Germany, Ireland, Sweden and the Netherlands (among other countries) pursuant to the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, adopted by these countries.
