I bought a Pacsafe Metro Sling Bag. I had ordered from another supplier but despite accepting my order is was not despatched so I had to cancel. Ordered from Outdoorkit and although delivery was extra overall price was very similar. The benefit was I could specify the day of delivery and for a further £1, could specify a morning or evening delivery. Only downside, that I have seen mentioned before, is that they don't say the don't accept Amex until you've typed all the details in. It's not rocket science so I think this should be changed, as they risk alienating potential customers.
The Pacsafe Metro 150 seems very good for carrying a small amount of stuff round towns and cities with extra security.
Overall I was very pleased with the service, but there was a small problem that I should have been made aware of earlier. I ordered 4 items for next day delivery. The order was accepted and payment made. However, the goods did not arrive next day and on telephoning I was told that 2 of the items were out of stock and I would be informed when the items were in and would be dispatched. Why didn't the order acceptance say this? i'm not physic! Once the items came into stock I got an e-mail and the goods were delivered next day. So very good but they need to rectify a systems fault. Then it would be excellent and 5 stars.
I went into Tesco, Dundee Kingsway, this morning to buy an Apple ipad Smart Case. It is advertised by the Apple shop at £39, so I assume this is the RRP. However, Tesco believe that they should charge above the RRP as they are charging £45. Luckily PC World just across the car park do not believe in price matching Tesco and are charging £39. Tesco are ripping off customers who don't check or can't check prices on the net.
This was my first order from Taunton Leisure. I ordered 2 Osprey rolling duffles at 17.30 on Sunday with the £3.95 tracked delivery. They arrived at 10 am today (Tuesday). Excellent. I will use them again. Also the web-site is very good and easy to navigate.
Achica only let you know only a day in advance that goods are about to be delivered. It is not possible to contact either Achica, or their equally abysmal carrier, DPD, other than through their web-sites. Just don't expect to deal with human beings. Achica have, so far, failed to answer 4 queries and DPD have stopped bothering as well. Goods were due to be delivered on Dec 20th. We stayed in all day but nothing came. The DPD website said that they had tried to deliver but there was no one in. However, there was no delivery card in the post box so they had obviously gone to wrong address. I emailed DPD and they said they would deliver on the 21st. Still no delivery but the DPD web site says "delivered on the 21st at (sic) 23.59 signed for by ILLEGIBLE"! So I assume someone else is enjoying my bedding, having effectively stolen it. DPD have delivered 2 orders correctly in the past so the house cannot be too difficult to find. I accept that things can go wrong but neither Achica or DPD seem to want to do anything about it. Avoid like the plague.
