We bought a Hotpoint double oven from Jual and the price was fantastic (we had been looking at same item in currys for an extra £300). Delivery was £20 but when the overall price is still cheap you can't complain! Also the company could only deliver to our area on a Thursday so we had to wait just over a week (because we had just missed deadline for that week's delivery) but it wasn't a problem for us.
Company were very accomodating when the delivery address was different to the billing address and the guy even put it in the back of my car for me - very helpful as it was really heavy.
We received item in perfect condition, packaged well.
Before I explain the original problem I would like to state this is the second time this review has been added. The first time I posted it, the sales manager of the company threatened the review site with legal action if they did not remove it! I have now waited over a week for a promised phone call to discuss this matter...still waiting!
We ordered a hob from this company because of the lower price (as compared to other companies). Firstly, when ordering online, a message popped up telling us the payment had not gone through! As it looked a bit suspicious we called our 24 hour banking and were told the payment had been taken from our account…PANIC! My husband called the company the next day and was told the order had gone through, but he was given NO explanation about the online incident. We were told the item would arrive within 3 working days – would be with us by Thursday. When I called to check this on Wednesday I was told by a very rude man to call another number, which I did. The item never arrived on Thursday (the day I had arranged to be at home for the delivery) and only after several phone calls and hours of waiting in at home, it arrived on Friday. BUT it was damaged in several places. I called straight away and was told I would have to email customer services, someone would call on Monday to organise a replacement…NO call on Monday and when I called them I was told I would now have to email pictures of the damage. When I queried the replacement, the man actually raised his voice at me…pleasant individual. Finally got a replacement day on Thursday (after much complaining, which as a customer should not be necessary). Really not happy with their standard of customer care, it is really under par.
