I just ordered a Sony Ericcson Xperia Play on Orange from Dial A Phone. Received my order yesterday with the seal broken and a note saying that the phone has been opened to check contents and 30 p has been deducted from the 10 pound top up to activate the phone. Now there is no such mention of this practise anywhere on the website or the order form. Upon calling their customer service agents, they are maintaining that all these are internal policies, one of the agents even hung up on me as she had no clue what to say. Upon asking another where this says on their policy she kept me on hold for around half an hour and came back to me saying that she could not find it and will mail it to me. I have luckily recorded all the calls and taken time stamped pictures of the phone and the letter.
Its a shame that a company that promises so much resorts to such shoddy practises.
