Head and shoulders above the rest

This firm understands customer service like no other I've ever come across. I buy my ink from them but not enough to make me their Most Important Customer - yet they always treat me as if I am when I have a problem. Their freely and patiently given help and advice leaves me short of words except a sincerely offered, "Thank you".


Excellent in one area, awful in another

I think Yodel seem to be improving as there are more positives here these days and, I have to say that, I have had a series of no-problem deliveries by Yodel. However, yesterday it was my turn to be left in the lurch. Basically the driver didn't read the address correctly, thought he knew better than the post code and tried to deliver my parcel to the wrong address. The tracking site then said "Address problem - please contact sender" which is pretty unhelpful. Luckily I'd seen Yodel's team on here and emailed for help. Laura was superb and the parcel was delivered today. The driver claimed that the label was wrong and that he had had to reprint it - sorry that was complete rubbish. The company is at the mercy of the free-lance drivers it hires and if they don't care much we finish up with low scores on here.

If the rest of the company was as good as Laura, she'd be redundant.


Good company let down by Yodel

Each time I've bought from Ebuyer I've been nervous (see the Yodel reviews) but all has been well with delivery until yesterday. Yodel posted "Address Problem - please contact sender" but the address displayed is correct and other Yodel drivers have had no problem. I rang Yodel and they said they'd get the depot to deliver before 9pm and call me - neither happened. I opted for free delivery so it can be up to 2100 Friday and they had it at 0630 Wednesday, Yodel seem to think it is reasonable for the customer to stay in to sign for a parcel which may be delivered at some time in 3 days, I don't agree - when it says "Parcel out for delivery" it should mean what it says. I think Ebuyer is great but I'm doing no more business until they hire a better delivery firm.

I do agreed that it is not reasonable to expect you to stay in for three days to sign for the delivery, we do send a dispatch email to advise once the order has been sent. This will mean the order will be with you the following day.

I am sorry to hear that the driver was not able to find your address, I can assure you that all drivers do try to make sure all the parcels on their van that day are delivered. In some cases a few of the parcels will go back to the depo and will go out again the following day.

I do apologise for any annoyance that was caused by this matter.

Excellent service, would buy again

I bought a Humax PVR through Ebay from Peter Tyson. All the potential uncertainty of an Ebay deal was avoided by clear and honest descriptions of the product and, more importantly, the company. A quick call to clarify delivery was answered quickly and courteously and the delivery by DPD was accompanied with a series of emails telling me exactly when the delivery would be made - excellent! Overall, I was delighted with the level of service, as well as a very competitive price, and wouldn't hesitate to buy from Peter Tyson again.
