So, Fallout: New Vegas was about to come out and I wanted it, the collector's edition.
I go searching for the best deal, and happen upon
Amazon.de where I order it.
The game releases and I receive my package. Super.
I install the game, start it up and it is in German. 'Okay,' I think
'I'll just change it to English.' I can't. The game is German only.
This was not written on the product page on Amazon. I'm not
sufficiently skilled at German to understand most of the dialog, which is a problem, since dialog is a great part of New Vegas. I also find out that the German version is an inferior product compared to, say, the American version, as content has been cut.
This was not advertised on the store page either.
I then try to get in contact with Amazon about a refund... what follows is a line of costumer support chat representatives who close the chat on me, not wanting to acknowledge my problem, despite the fact that I represent them with facts that should remove any doubt that they are the ones at fault - they clearly failed to properly describe the product on their page.
I then continue to contact them by phone, as I figure they wouldn't have the same boldness of hanging up when speaking to me directly, the same way they did when chatting with me.
I called them once, I was told I'd be called back. I never was. I called them again, I was told I'd be called back yet again. I never was.
The third time I told them that I had already been told I'd be called back twice. I was then promised I'd be called back this time.
I never was.
When chatting with them, their only excuse was that I had broken the sealing on the game box, which is ridiculous, as I had to, to find out that the game was inferior to the one they had listed on their product page.
It's not my responsibility as the costumer to, -somehow-, know details like that, when they don't make it possible. Had I known that, I would never have bought the game to begin with... I have even bought the game a second time. The collector's edition which I bought at Amazon.de went for around the retail price of 2 standard editions. So far I've payed for 3 standard games but only gotten what I paid for once.
I will not shop there again.

Da jeg vender tilbage for betale for dem, har de solgt dem uden på nogen måde at underrette mig.
Et par sko lavet i få eksemplarer, der ikke længere kan købes. Efter jeg spurgte lidt mere ind til det, begyndte de at ignorere mig.

I wrote Heyday and had a couple of shoes reserved. Very simple.
When I return to pay for them, I get told that they've sold them. Without notifying me in any way. When I started inquiring as to why they hadn't, they started to ignore me.
Would not recommend this shop.
Steam er i mine øjne den fedeste platform til ens spil - genial.
Men er du gal hvor er deres kunde"support" utrolig kundefjendsk, ekstremt langsom, de er inkompetente, ubehjælpsomme og har en utrolig egenskab til at snakke uden om egentlige spørgsmål. Mange gange ignorerer de bare direkte spørgsmål.
Arbejder man for Valve som udvilker på Steam har man noget at være stolt af. Sidder man som support burde man skjule det for folk. Simpelt.
Jeg bestilte et produkt hos CDON, som jeg inden længe efter nåede at afbestille ved at skrive en mail til dem hvori jeg ønsker ordren annulleret. Det skete sent hen ad aftenen så produktet kan ikke have været sendt afsted. Dagen efter får jeg en mail der siger at det ikke er muligt at annullere ordren da den er sat i omløb. Dog har de tilbudt at jeg kan sende den tilbage når jeg modtager den.
