I wanted to give no stars, but it wouldn't let me. Been with homeserve for about 16 months. Last winter called them out because our boiler packed up (i'm not a gas safe plumber), the engineer stared at the boiler for 30 minutes then told me he didn't know what the problem was, and that i should call out the manufacturer. Ended up paying manufacturer to replace a printed circuit board. This winter the boiler started losing pressure. We called out homeserve, but while waiting i traced the fault to a leaking pipe under the floor. The engineer turned up to find the room emptied and floor lifted for him, but refused to go under the floor to fix it claiming he had a bad neck and shoulder. He told me he would ring the office and get someone smaller/fitter to come out. Later that evening we rang to find out what was going on, only to be told that nothing was happening because the engineer had reported that there was no access to the leak! Whilst my wife waited on hold trying to find out what was going to happen, i went under the floor and fixed the leak myself. It took me less than five minutes, which isn't bad considering there was "no access"! On top of this we have not had our boiler serviced yet, even though we were told that the service we were paying for includes an annual maintenance service. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy, and as far as i'm concerned they should refund me every penny i have paid them as they are incapable of fixing anything.
I only gave one star because it wouldn't let me give none. I was with tiscali before they became talk talk. They weren't brilliant then, but since they became talk talk they became one of the worst companies to deal with that i have ever experienced. I had all of my services with them, needless to say that i now have none. You have been warned!
I've been using the shower doctor for over five years now and cant find a bad thing to say about them. There have been a couple of occasions where i have had the need to contact them regarding wrong parts being sent/ordered, but on both occasions the problems were sorted out very quickly and with no fuss. I would find it difficult to use anyone else for my shower spares, as they have given me a great service so far
