I ordered a number of items at Christmas and they were swiftly delivered, however..... whether due to a packaging failure or a rather determined thief, 2/3 of the items were missing.
I contacted Royal Mail, who were MOST UNHELPFUL. I thought that I would then try Amazon via their on line call back service. I was called back immediately and I explained what had happened. I expected a grilling, and an unsatisfactory outcome, however, I was pleasantly surprised. I was asked to confirm the order number and exactly what was missing. The missing items were to be dispatched immediately at no additional cost to myself.
I have to say that I was bowled over by the efficiency of Amazon, and the courteous service which I received. It is a shame that other organisations don't take a leaf out of their customer service hand book!
