I have been with Vodafone for approximately nine years. I always found the customer service excellent. But, the last two years the customer service has become non existant:
1) When I upgraded to a new phone they carried on charging me for two phones. This continued for several months before they sorted it out.
2) I always had itemised calls sent to me along with my monthly phone bill. On three occasions over the last two years they stopped sending me itemised phone calls with my bills and said I am receiving them online, which I was not and never requested. I had to ask them to send me copies. I found this extremely irritating as on each occasion I insisted on receiving the list of calls with my bills.
3) This is the most annoying of all. Their sales department phoned me a year ago and I purchased an Iphone4. After several months the button kept sticking and on one occasion I had to press it 13 times before the phone came on. When I contacted them they were not in the least bit interested and said I would have to send them the phone and it would take 2 weeks and I would have to pay for it. I was so angry. After speaking to a friend I went to the Apple store in Brighton, wow what a store, what service I was amazed at their efficiency and friendly service. They replaced my phone as it was still under warrenty and it cost me nothing.
When my contract runs out I will not stay with Vodafone.
